Don't know if this is the right place but when do you think we can expect the weekly red scrip cap to be lifted seens as eso cap is no longer there
When there is something higher than red scrips. Like how Eso was replaced by Lore.
I just want the weekly cap to be 500 or 450... seriously, 500 overall cap, 450 weekly? That makes no sense since they changed the exchange rate to either singles or 450 at once.
Some (myself included) had expected some new color of scrip to be cycled through, either removing entirely the blue scrip, or just shifting downward in importance both the blue and the red, to make "room". Obviously, this has not happened.
I kind of expect something along those lines to happen next time they add more crafted stuff to the game though. I'm not sure if they are going to continue to use red scrip, but they almost have to add a higher tier of crafting gear next time, seeing as we are basically tapped out as far as stats go in our current over melded i170 gear and i180 gear, with the 3 star stats. So I figure the next tier of crafted gear will be 3 star, 850/820 gear, to allow us to produce some 4 star stuff later on. The only real question, in my mind, is whether they are going to add a new scrip color to provide a "tome" way of getting gear, along the model of the crafted i170 and bought i180, or if they are just going to add the new bought stuff to red scrips, obsoleting the current i180.
I had hoped that the red scrip caps would have been lifted though. I would like to get the i180 gathering gear for my retainers, and that is not practical while we are limited to 450 red gathering scrip per week. But I understand why the caps were not lifted with 3.2.
450 limit only makes sense if you've always got the maximum each week.
For anyone that didn't get the full amount at some point they have a left over amount that they can't roll into tokens (as you need multiples of 50). That extra 50 is for holding that rollover amount. So you can essentially earn the entire 450 weekly without having to worry about capping early and you can then withdrawn the 450 at once (again leaving the left over amount until you have another week where you don't hand in the full amount)
Yes someone could just trade into tokens and then trade into tokens again, but once they missed a full week worth they would have to do this every single week from then on. This stops that and just makes life easier.
Hope that makes sense!
Doesn't really make sense to have something replacing red scrips any time soon. Need new tomestones for new gear because of the larger wallet size and players being able to build up a bit of a bank when new gear releases. Red scrips? You can't really build up a bank at all with the wallet size so low. You can stockpile tokens, and I saw something mentioning that that's where the change will take place.
That was what I was saying. I see the new crafting gear set being 3 stars, 850/820 to craft, with it giving us the stats to reach 4 stars. I don't know whether that would entail a new crafting scrip to buy the new gear with, keeping the red scrips as a stepping stone to it, or if the new gear would just be bought with red scrip, eliminating any need to step onto the i170/i180 stepping stone.
next expansion
i do hope with the next expansion they will look at the craft differently, because if it continue like this, if we can level up until 70 (what i'm expecting) we will get skin by 1 every 10 monster that take 20-50 second to be killed while you need 5 for make a leather.... and i only talk of level 61 gears. the 50-60 gears was idiot... they have make it rare for no reason outside make sure dungeon stuff will stay revelant.... but do it was usefull? not really.
and another point that bother me, for do the 3-4 star you need to pentameld or get the top gear that take weeks to obtain and for do what? gears that have barely any utility since it's only used by something like 5-8% of the playerbase (hardcore) and the cosmetic that only the crafter can buy right now, mostly because some component are extremely rare for no sense. i will not even talk of the replica of BC gears that ask more of 800 craft for be made while the item are not available anymore.
who did think that gears level 50 must recquire a level 60 with pentameld for be crafted was a decent idea. i will go farer, Pentameld must'nt be mandatory for craft gears. it's must ease the process to obtain HQ, not be the only way to get a hq. i feel the whole team behind the game is too scared to make a decent use of the craft because of the raiding community that will cry if it's possible to obtain a gears from craft. making most of the expert craft (outside the one for crafter) pointless for more than 90% of the community.
worst, it create a trouble in the whole economie.... the red script and blue script are not even fair for every craft, it's easier to obtain blue script as goldsmith than other jobs.... because you have one item (dragon tooth earing) that don't recquire other for get them. when i compare what i need to make as armorer or wearer for get red and blue script in comparaison of some other jobs... it's become scary, almost making me regret to have choose this speciality. for armorer i have often item recquiring 4-5 other crafter item for be crafted, when carpenter can end with 2-3 other crafter.
it's nice to make a system for reward people, it's better to make it fair for every craft. not make it unfair and worst extremely costly. indeed you can do it with item that will bring 5 red script per item... but if you want any item, you need to make the one asked with very high quality. asking to have the other crafter item in HQ. sure they try to make the community work together. sadly, it's naive to think that it will go well. when you see the price of level 1 item that often don't ask that much to be crafted.
make every craft extremely hard to make because the component is rare was the dumbest move. make component for make really powerfull equipement rare, it's normal.... but make a cosmetic item harder to do than some armor.... is the dumbest move ever!
i think the red/blue script need to be rethink and make it fair for every craft and more important tune down a lot the number of item from other crafter needed per craft and finally stop to try to make every component rare, especially for the craft 51-59... that stupid!
