Dark Knight secondary stance?

Can there be a more aggressive stance when using Darkside? Some of the weapons (especially the huge ones.) look really silly and even dig into the ground when your holding them up facing down in the Ox Stance.

It looks cool to some weapons, but I find a lot of the new heavier weapons (half of them.) burying into the ground.

Is there a single thing about this game you won't complain about?

To do this they would have to redo and/or make a variant of every single DRK combat animation because they don't use an animation blending system and instead every animation has a set beginning and end frame that has to match up with the beginning and end frame of every other animation, in this case be pretty much the same, so when one animation ends it appears to seamlessly transition into the beginning of the next one. You can see this very apparently by doing the new /vpose and /bstance emotes without your weapon drawn versus with it drawn.

Because of this I really don't see them changing this or things like it anytime soon if ever.

P.S. I am pretty sure the stance is more of a Hanging guard (Hanging Left iirc the way it is held ingame) as Ox is held with the sword being mostly horizontal and not with the tip angled down.

good luck getting people to listen to this. I would like an alternate battle stance as well, but people say its too much work.

Not really, one of the bosses uses Dark Animations with a unique stance.

What was the bosses name again? He was in 3.0x

He holds his two handed weapon upright, but uses Dark Knight attacks.

Ummm...no he doesn't, his moveset and it's accompanying animations are completely different and are much closer to Gaius than DRK.
He doesn't even swing or hold his sword-gun with two hands, in fact the only time that I can see him holding the sword that way is in the cutscene before you fight him.

You fight him again actually. In THAT fight he uses a one handed moveset, however the SECOND time you fight him he uses a two handed moveset.

You fight him again in the level 60 instance.

Did you even watch the video that you posted?

Even in the second encounter with him it's still a completely different move and animation set from DRK, the only things that he has that are similar is that he sometimes goes into the DRK default hanging guard stance and has one poke, one slash and one chop that are maybe part of the animations (not even the full animation) from DRK attacks. That's not even close to using the same attacks as DRK and therefore covering the DRK animation set.

I'll admit that I forgot about the second fight with him, but sorry you still are not right.

He has both hands on his sword holding it up. He puts it up in the "Ox" position like a Dark Knight does, he uses Dark Knight attacks, just not very fast. You literally see him using it like a Dark Knight, swinging it like one. He just does not do it often and uses the very BASIC combos.

Then where does he use Hard Slash, Syphon Strike, Power Slash, Soul Eater, Delerium, etc.
Hint, he doesn't because as I said already that at most they reused snippets of DRK animations to use for his animations.

That does not in any way, shape or form mean that they can just give you the alternate stance that you want and not have to put in the work to change up all the DRK animations because as I said before they would have to change how each animation starts and ends and how they blend with the rest of the animations so that they transition smoothly with the new combat idle. Regulus van Hydras' animations don't change a thing because they are not the same as the DRK animations, therefore none of the work to make such a thing happen is done and it can't be just slotted in all easy-like.

At this point I am done arguing this with you as I would have better luck getting a goldfish to comprehend the Rhub Al'Khali Desert than getting you to have any basic sense.

As for your stance argument about Regulus, stop it. You have more imagination than a children's show.

He does post from an alt and keeps his main hidden from whatever reason. It has DRK at 60.

As you can see, hes in the "idle" normal Dark Knight Stance shown here, at the very early part of the video. During the video, whilst he mostly just does "autoattacks" from Dark Knight he does do "Hard Slash" some times.

I actually went in to "do" the fight just to get better screenshots. As you can see, he is a Dark Knight. He just uses the other stance more, he switches to a cool upright stance. This is a MUCH bigger picture.

Second Picture = Typical Dark Knight Stance.
First Picture = Second Stance he uses.

First Picture looks much cooler with bigger weapons.

He actually changed it because people called him out on his complaints when they saw his DRK didn't have any worthwhile accessories, and he was complaining about the Tank change (IIRC, I think he had law accessories still?)

Magiteck Spread at 2:10 is the second combo slash you use (hard slash? cant remmeber) . Even the animation looks the same, only difference is the light show. Kinda see where he's going with this.

Well, other NPCs used it I think. However I don't see why other Dark Knight's can't use the stance. It looks cool and is already in the game, and already works with the moves.

Wielding a greatsword doesn't automatically make you a Dark Knight. Just ask Ser Zephirin.
