Zu Horn pictures?

Has anyone seen this mount yet?

I saw someone sold one for 50m on my server, but I can't find a picture of the mount anywhere.

I'm really curious to see what it looks like.

Is there any confirmation on where it actually comes from? Everything I can find is 50/50 Exploratory Voyages/Missions. ._.

You need an Iron Voyage Spoil. Some have said it is found in Expeditions, ergo Airship Ventures. Dunno for sure but if the mount is a Zu I do want one.

It looks like the Zu from Pharros Sirius Normal. I'm looking at it now. Brown with glowing orange wings and tail.

the description of it is "One of various items collected on an expeditionary voyage."
so the trick is apparently figuring out which voyage and then sending all your ships there over and over to get a lot

really not the point tho... if its a mount only obtainable from voyages means normal guildies wont even have a chance of ever seein 1 unless pay insane amounts of gil.. while the officers get them for free lol

From what I understand of airships, they will be insanely expensive for a while...but after a while, people won't buy them as much, and they will be about as common as the ex primal ponies if not more so. Then people will see like everyone has it and be even less willing to shell out a ton of money for one and the price will plummet to nearly nothing. At least, this is what I saw happen a couple times with other airship-only venture materials that I buy for crafts I sell.

Then like 2 patches from now there will be a new mount released with same currency and price explodes again? :P

really not fair tho honestly people in Fc's put in just as much work building airship parts as officers/leaders yet only leaders/officers are gonna benefit from even gettin or selling this mount, while normal members have to pay an insane amount of gil to get it or wait months til price goes down while the fc bosses are raking in the gil selling these mounts?? seriously worst idea ever implemented in ff14 lol if they were even considering somethin like this should of made it possible personal houses of all sizes had the option of sending ships on voyages..

not a fan of only bosses in fc's have the chance of recieving a mount considering how many times they ask/expect gil, item donations from members.. heck my last fc i was in wouldnt even let us have the stuff we planted in the gardens... yeah we brought/found seeds planted, watered them once ready for havest the officers harvested n sold on mb lol thats the reason i brought my own house to avoid stuff like that happening lol

some1 is sellin 1 on leviathon for 85m.. so while normal members put in the same amount of effort as the leaders we wont even see that item or that amount of gil from selling 1 :P

What you're describing is a personal issue, not an issue with the design of this mount.

I, as a master of my own FC, if it ever drops I'll try to sell it, then if it doesn't, I'll buy it from my own FC and leave the money on the FC chest for furnishing or whatever my members needs.

I usually sell whatever the airship gives to members at 40% it's original price, so if it's 100k on MB, I sell them at 40k.

You just need a honest FC! If you feel that your officers/master are scamming you, then leave. Remember they're making airship travels thanks to your FC points. You bring them the Airship's fuel!

I don't know how it is in your FC but in mine all voyage items belongs to the FC and not to a specific player.

For the mount i have to make a special rule if we obtain them from the voyage, like it goes down the ranks. Any excess will be sold and refinance our FC.

what im tryin to say if making the only available means to obtain a mount through voyages where guild leaders have free range over items n get the mount for free while the members have really no other choice but to pay insane amounts of gil for is just silly...

even if you have an honest FC where the guild leader will go down the list giving mount to people in a particular order how is that fair on the people in FC's with over 200 people when an active guild can easily have over 80 people all contributing around the same on a daily basis? its just ._.''' and doesnt even seem like they gave to much thought to it imo,

as you said voyages are fueled by the members of the FC's and lets be honest only a small percentage will ever even be able to own the mount with how its only available through 2 possible ways, unless your insanely rich or a boss in your FC

Spawnie, you assume that guild leaders will not try and distribute the tokens fairly. If you distrust your leadership so much, it doesn't look like a healthy FC to be in.

My FC will make sure the items are distributed between members, probably by a drawing. Because that's the right thing to do. Now of course I don't thin we will let people that have only joined in the last month or so get the item, as that wouldn't be fair to long term members, but you seem to act like all FC's are going to horde them for their elites or favorites, and that's just the sign of a bad FC.

I agree with several others, Spawnie -- just because some FCs have very strict hierarchies and opinions on how the 'officers' are worth more than the rest, it doesn't mean all of them do. If I was involved in a larger FC, and a ship brought back one of those, it would most likely first go to one of those who'd spent the most money/time on building the ships (gathering/buying the materials, crafting the items, making sure to keep track of when the ships come back so they can be online then to receive them and lose as little time as possible).
Our FC is a smaller one, so among our primary members (i.e. not inactive or alts) who got the first mount would probably be decided by some kind of lottery or competition. Either using /random to decide who gets the first, or through a game, like HUD-less hide-and-seek in the Goblet (where we live), chocobo racing (none of us has been particularly interested in that, so we don't have any super jockeys in the FC) or some other kind of game of chance/fun. I was one of the founding members, but I'd have just as big a chance to get one as the others. Same with our FC leader. And of course a winner wouldn't be able to get another one until everyone in the FC had one.

There are benefits and drawbacks of being in an FC of a certain size. With a big FC, you're almost guaranteed there'll always be people online so you have the chance to do something, and the FC will have plenty of resources due to its many contributing members. With a small FC, you have the closer community and friendship, and a larger possibility to influence the running of said FC. Personally, I've always preferred the latter to the former.

I would argue that the bigger issue here is that many FCs still don't even have access to a workshop to even attempt to get this mount...

they are obsessed with airship missions....ewww

its more the fact its only 1 available way which isnt available equally to every1 ._. as i said only 2-3% of ff14's playerbase will ever even own this mount

Only a very very miniscule percentage of the playerbase experiences all of the Savage/end game raid while current

Why aren't you complaining about that?

Just because it's a mount doesn't mean it needs to be available easily to every person in the entire game.

So they add a mount that is hard to get, only obtainable by FCs, and can be traded.

I'm not seeing the big deal here.

You either have to buy the mount or join an fc that, as I said before, isn't completely screwing you. Big deal.

difference is people have equal opportunity to experience end game raids if they choose.. they dont have equal opportunity to obtain a mount instead gotta depend on peoples honesty

we all pay the same subs so we all should be able to obtain the mount equally not just depend on a persons honesty to distribute a mount to every single person in thier fc

This all boils down to you being in FCs that you aren't actually friends with, or don't trust them

Like I said, join an fc that isn't screwing you

Small friendly FC, gets mount, sells it, distributes gil between members

Everyone has the same chance of being an FC leader. Everyone has the same chance of having housing. Everyone has the same chance of doing anything in this game. Explain again how YOU, yes you, haven't got the same chances like everyone else? What hinders you to find a suitable FC or own an FC yourself?

equal opportunity to own a house?? lmao look at the house threads in forums :P alot of FC's dont even have a chance of owning a house or even trying to get the mount due to not enough housing for every1.. so the only option people in those FC's have to even owning the mount is payin insane amounts of gil lol

There is no hacking or botting to get a house, chances are equal for everyone. Wether you want to outcamp that alt character, stay awake for 3 days and watch the wards, or make deals is up to you. But even so, there's nothing that makes you incapable of obtaining a house.

BIG FCs. This is an other topic to discuss in an other thread.
There are 2 ways of obtaining this mount: 1. exchanging the token brought through a voyage 2. bought from the MB.
It's false to asume the price will stay high for an overextended time. And it's not polite to state every FC leader/officer as a dick.

But you can make your own FC and craft the airships and send them out on voyages...you have the equal chances if you choose. Yeah we all pay the same sub, stop, NO, we don't, the sub depends on the package you choose. But you have an equal chance to get your mount, equally to every other person who plays this game: 1. get it from your FC voyages 2. buy it on the MB.
