Some of my long term goals:

Buy a house - took 9 months
Decorate the house - not done
Get every class to max level - not done
Get every job a nice glamour - still missing war, mnk, pld and some weapons
Max out retainers and chocobo - not done
Do Coil and all ex primals - not done

Your next goal to do all the crafts, Im struggling on what i need to do with my botanist...and well fishing i have no idea how people drive them self to do the fishing.

Glamour is true endgame... it can be hard sometimes :( Good luck with the primals :D and coil. I still need to finish FCoB. Ugh.

I hate Botanist so much... I know it's literally the same as Miner but. I just hate it.
Fishing I did with one button macro, controller vibration and active controller when tabbed out of the game....and Youtube.

I dont hate botanist im just confused about gear progression now and there is no real guides as SE keeps changing it every god dam minute. And that fishing idea doesn't sound to bad i might try it tbh plug my control into the pc and sort of afk fish. What i hate is that scripts only give blues at like lv 58 so you cant level and pre farm your gear which really sucks.

Get 2nd char through HW - nope
level 2nd chars 6 classes to 60 - hella nope
Get 3rd char through HW and to 60 - nah
4th char - havent even finished 2.55 stuff
5th character - still sitting at level 1

I'd recommend getting the blue gear, some people say to skip it but I could farm red scrips with pure blue gear and my old 50 accessories just fine.. crafted gear is only good if you don't want the red scrip gear (and want ridiculous melds...)

And yeah I wish there were some red scrips before max level...that would be nice :(

Find a nice fc to settle in after 60 - done and very happy where I am
Level 50 botanist - done
Level 50 miner - done
Level 50 fisher - in progress
Level 60 in all gathering - in progress
Get 600 GP for my miner and botanist - in progress...I hope it won't cost me too much to do
Become the second coming of Ikea - very long term goal as crafting in this game is a journey in itself but that's part of the appeal
Get a house in Mist - the area reminds me of my childhood summers, but this won't be for a very long time if ever because I'm not very rich

Congratulations! I want trade for gear but I ended up getting for favor lol.

For my completion, I think this is first time I can make 2 star HQ crafter AF2 gear and I'm so happy that gil I waste become HQ.

Congrats. As a new gatherer/crafter that had recently hit 60 on all gatherers/have all crafters at 56+, I pretty much look in awe at all the other gatherers/crafters above me with full scrip sets/pentamelded gear.

My major goal now is to reliably HQ the 1-star relic items. Having just hit 60 on my specialists, I likely won't be able to do that for a while yet. I specifically picked the rarest specialists in my server just so I could help people out, so it breaks my heart when I see someone searching for HOURS for a Leatherworker specialist when I'm one and I don't have the stats to help them yet. D:

grats! I'm still trying to trudge my DoL classes to 50 as is, let alone all 3 to 60 with the new af gear for them, lol. I just find Gathering to be such a bore XD good luck with your Anima Relic though!

my current goal is to finish the 1000 leve achievement, as that's the final trophy I need to platinum FFXIV

grats OP. I just finished one of my long term goals earlier today..... I earned the Rod of Luminary. So much fishing, and the glamour isn't even anything special, but I've just wanted to get it anyways as a goal. Apparently when I went to get it from Jonathas, he also had the Ironworks Rod waiting for me, I didn't even remember that one, lol.
1 goal 2 poles, lol

Edit: Next long term goal is Honest Gillionairre title......Dec 2017 if 4.0 steps up the leve rewards :rolleyes:

Get comfortable with DRK: Not done. I like the aesthetic and Plunge, but I just can't get over how fragile tanking as it is. I always feel like I have to use three times as many cd's as War or PLD just to barely scrape by.

Level and gear up my LTW, ALC, and WVR. Not done.

Get Field Commander glamour: COMPLETE!

Level the rest of my jobs to 60: Half way done.

Past goals? Find friends.
Future goals? Still looking.

I'd say raiding, but honestly I have more fun for less work doing things like a 2-man T1 with a BRD for a tank. I at least want to finish all the Coils and get into a Crystal Tower run.

I no longer have any major goals. While completing Relic would be a goal, I'm stuck on which job to do it for (NIN, PLD, BRD, WHM, and soon to be DRK). NIN is my main, but I haven't been performing well on it lately; having found myself wanted to go back to tanking and healing. Then, there's DRK and PLD. I'm 100% comfortable with PLD, but after meddling with DRK (currently Lv58), I'm beginning to like her as a better tank now due to the abilities (I can recover HP and MP in faster intervals than I could as PLD).

I would like to get around to completing all my side quests. Before HW, I completed all quests that wasn't class related.

Gratz. I have one set, and dont think i will ever get the other two:)

My long term goal was to get my last fishing achievement and with it the title "Master Fisher" (catch 10,000 HQ fish). Would have got it a long long long long time ago if collectable fish in heavensward would have counted. So. All fish caught, all fishing achievement obtained......now just the long long long wait for Big Game Fishing Heavensward Edition to be introduced

Fully meld the top level gear for at least either crafter or gatherer. Fully melded a Forager's set (excluding the off-hands)
Finish my SCH Zeta
Get my chocobo past rank 10

Current goals:
Save up enough money for Ishgard housing
Get the Twintania and Penguin Prince minions
Finish my AST Anima weapon and then do one for SCH
Get max rep with all the beast tribes. Missing Amal'jaa, Sylphs, and Sahagin

I think I'm just gonna limit myself to those for right now seeing as doing two Anima weapons is gonna be a pain.

From what I'm experiencing with it (currently Lv58), I rely on my Defensive CDs (obviously) and I keep Convalescence 100% of the time, especially if a healer is present. Aside of that, I'm now able to keep "Darkside" up due to "Blood Price". Once that up, I'm able to alternatively spam "Abyssal Drain" and my "Souleater" combo.

Grats. I can't bring myself to doing red scrips much anymore... I left the last several weeks untouched. Did a bit for crafting, prior to the reset. In all honesty, I feel like I'm done with red scrips whenever I look at my glamour setup using the looks of the FSH chest piece. That thing is absolutely awesome to dye colors with. The scheme just works so damn well.

How do you tank gritless with it, though? I've been doing it a lot lately since I'm 100% comfortable doing that with either of the other tanks when possible, but as soon as I drop grit I feel like I'm praying for that dark dance parry to proc because I have absolutely no other cooldowns available and I still feel like my HP drops way too fast.

Abyssal Drain gives Enmity, and is a aoe. Dark Passenger, while it does NOT generate enmity, hits enemies on a line, so I use this to my advantage. Dark Arts and the Power Slash combo gives Enmity. I drop Grit for Blood Weapon, but put it back up to heal myself with Souleater, though, though. The initial pull of Unmend > Unleash > Abyssal Drain is usually all I need to be able to drop Grit once those activate.

Another thing I do in dungeons, especially The Vault, where the mobs run at me, is throw Salted Earth early. The enemies running up will focus me even if the healer tagged me with Regen and/or Medica II prior to the pull (as long as I have Grit on BEFORE I used Salted Earth).

But you know me, I don't follow rotations; I prioritize. There were a LOT of times where I never finished a Power Slash combo because I Dark Arts > Abyssal Drain unless it was a single enemy. Blood Price and Dark Arts are my key abilities to hold hate without Grit. I haven't tried it on a Primal yet, though; only in dungeons and Praetorium. Two more levels, and I can try it in Alexander Normal.

One of my main focus is to farm all Minions and Mounts D:
I'm missing 3 minions; Hunting Hawk, Echidna and Firion.
And I'm missing 3 mounts too; A4 mount (soon!), Parade Chocobo, and Ul'Dah PVP horse (29 wins to go ;_; )

I'm paranoic on quests too and I finish all of them. I still have to finish the Azys Lla ones and then every single quest in ARR and HW will be completed!

Level everything to 60 and gear up to "max" the mastercrafts, the 3 gatherers, a healer, tank and DPS!


And basically, do all the Achievements I can! For the titles, the gear rewards etc...

Hmm goals...

My main focus is always achievement but when HW hit I set myself some goals:
* Get all classes to 60 - Done
* Get Kirin mount - Done
* Finish all coil - Starting on that now that I have finished Kirin
* Keep up with BLM anima weapon - Almost done with the current quest

Since I am almost caught up I have set myself some additional goals once 3.2 hits:
* Get all crafting masterbook 3 - Haven't got any and hoping for a slight nerf in 3.2 so waiting on that for now
* Get all folklore scrolls for gathering - See above
* Get good glamour for all classes
* Decorate my house properly

Honestly though, except catching up on a lot of achievements and doing new phases of the anima BLM weapon I don't really see any interesting goals on the horizon. Obviously keeping all classes at max level is one if they release a new class before 4.0 like they did with NIN.
Long term goal is to get all 13 anima weapons but that will be a slow process and mostly after it gets nerfed.

I was gonna go for btn gear but I'm gonna wait for 3.2 . We MIGHT get craftable ilvl 180/170 stuff for it

My past goal was to get maximum buffs in a solo play. Finally I got 30 buffs as a CNJ at Wolves' Den thanks to /aaction command.
