monk average dps/ilvl

hi,

i would like to know how much dps you guys do and at what ilvl and wich rotation are you using.i always want to be better and get the perfect rotation to maximise my dps.

so,im currently ilvl 204 (got 2 diadem peice with not so great stats,ilvl 200 weapon)
for my dps,i seem to parse at about 1750-1800 spike and stable at 1400 (4min)
i used party buff food and potion.without party buff food and potion im down to about 1330-1350 at 4min.

im using this rotation:demo-perfect balance-snap punch (bfb)-snap punch (ir)-dragon kick (pot)- twinsnake (elexir)- snap punch (howling)-touch of death (forbiden chakra)- bootshine (steel)- truestrike (shoulder)-demo-fracture

when im not using pot i remplace the pot by elexir and make me able to fit my ogcd a bit earlier.im also testing using twinsnake instead of the first dragon kick (twinsnake,dragon kick,snap punch) and it seem to spike a bit higther but might be the rng of crit.

i feel like i should be a bit higther then that but i dont think im doing terribly bad either

so, what about you?

1400 with party buff (can't self parse) sustain, 3 mins.

Monk dps is easy on a dummy, you'll only know you are good with what you do during mechanics. Your vacuum dps seems fine, that's all I can say.

at ilv 194, with the i200 esoteric weapon and no i210 gear, if crit-rng is on my side I can be stable at about 1600+. Without an abundance of crits, I get to approximately 1300 once it has settled down (and, assuming without messing up rotations at any point.)
These numbers all include party buff for STR and HQ Flint Caviar (so +33 crit), but without potions (I'm way too lazy and arrogant to consider using them.)

As you listed it (and in a nice and easy to read format, too) I'll list mine, but I've not paid attention to my "burst open" dps value. You'll notice that I put a couple of oGCDs together (notably B4B and IR, and Steel Peak and Howling Fist) this is because I find they fit in one GCD after the Chaos data centre move to the EU - anything not in brackets is a GCD, in brackets is an oGCD.

(should tackle) - demolish - (perfect balance) - twin snakes - snap punch - (b4b) - (ir) - snap punch - dragon kick - demolish - (elixir field) - touch of death - (forbidden chakra) - bootshine - (howling fist) - (steel peak) - twin snakes - snap punch - dragon kick - true strike - snap punch........ until target is dead.

I follow your typical monk rotation of Dragon Kick / Twin Snakes every second Opo-opo / Raptor Form, Demolish every third Coeurl Form, and Touch of Death every second Demolish, with oGCDs being thrown in as they refresh.
I honestly have no idea how you fit Fracture in, but as you seem to manage it, bravo!

Ilv 194 with weapon i200, 1600+ stable damage? well, What does it mean "stable" for you? ~3-4 mins or more? in that case, I would like a screen or I think you are wrong.

If "stable" mean something diferent, I said nothing.

yea 1600 stable seem pretty damn hight.i guess you mean after your burst phase (opener)?1300 after 3-4min seem about right but if you can do 1600 after 3-4min,TEACH ME SEMPAI :)


for my fracture,i use it only if i got bfb or IR up.in the opener i listed,i can fit a fracture just before my ir and bfb drop so its fully buffed but that like 1 sec before my ir drop but even if it drop,its still buffed by bfb so that fine.fracture is a really small dps increase for a hight tp cost so i dont think its worth it unless buffed,that the way i see it.

Ah, I see, I see. This makes sense: when I saw you list it I was under the impression of it being maintained in a usual rotation. (Not feasibly with current skill speeds yet, unless you want to constantly drop TW and DK for a hit on each.)

Like I said, it was crit-dependent, but let me go find the log files for y'all.
I say stable because that's end-of-fight numbers, which would tend itself to be stable? (Not dummy tests, iirc they're all from AS1 Faust.)

... *embarrassed* looking at the log files it's obvious that number includes dps from Elixir Field and Howling Fist on the Dolls, too.
I'll go do some testing on a doll and get back to you with those numbers!

ha ok yes, if you talk about your dps on faust, its going to be much higther then testing on a dummy.using howling fist and elexir on faust adds buff your dps like crazy.on faust i often finish with like 1700+ dps

There's a way to check the dps on faust only : double click on Faust > double click incoming damage > go in the left part of the parser and right click incoming dmg then chose 'look up by combattant'.

ilvl 209 MNK with Thordan weapon, using food and STR potion (lvl 50 one), no party buff : opener 1911 overall dps after 3 mins 1506.
My opener rotation : Shoulder tackle > Demo > PB > SP > SP > B4B > TwS > IR > DK > potion > SP > FC > Elixir > ToD > BS > Howling > True Strike > Steel peak > Demo

Then I follow rotation. Also I always use ToD with Elixir since it's perfectly aligned.

How do you get 6 skill during Perfect Balance? I mean:
PB > Demo 2 > SP 4 > SP 6 > B4B > TwS 8 > IR > DK 10 > potion > SP ???

Yeah sorry I demo before PB.

I do 1,350-ish on dummy with no boost items or food when I was like 198ilvl @3min.
I'm 204 now, no idea what my dummy is now but I can't ever reach 1,300 in any instances or dungeons in PuGs. I seem to be stuck at 950->1,200 depending how much mechanics I need to do and other variables.

i197 non mnk main, thordan weapon, solo dummy/no food/pots doing 1350 4min, havent worked out fracture yet

If you really want to get a lot of information regarding openers, rotations, and dps by individuals, my suggestion would be to look at FFlogs. Not only volume of data, but it's much more likely to be reliable and detailed information.

Faust statistical dps for the past 2 weeks.

My last Faust was 1544 without the 210 weapon (i209).
