Last Long In for Linkshells

Sorry! There is an error in the title, it was suppose to say Last Log-In for Linkshells. I was typing too quickly.

Please change it so Linkshell leaders players can see when the last time a person in a Linkshell has logged in. I want my Linkshells full of active players, but sometimes it's hard to tell who's active and who just hasn't been on lately. Especially since they could have logged on at a time I wasn't online or when I didn't notice. I don't want to accidentally falsely accuse someone of not being online when they just haven't been online when I'm around.

I primarily said linkshell leaders since they're the ones with the ability to remove people, but yeah. I don't see why it's a problem for everyone to see who was logged in most recently.

I've heard of hunt linkshells with a policy to kick anyone that logs out PERIOD because they can't tell how long someone has been gone for and they want only active members. So everyone in the LS stays logged in in idle.

Give us last log in dates for linkshells, it'll be great and we might have a bit less idle server congestion.

I agree, it would be nice to see this too. It doesn't have to be super specific like current is on the FC pane. I don't need to know down to the minute, but it would be nice to see if someone was on "one day ago", "within seven days", "over a month ago" so that for something like a hunt or PVP LS people who aren't currently subscribed or aren't super active can be replaced with new recruits.

Why stop it at LS leaders? Just have it available to view to everyone.

Hell, throw this kind of feature onto your friends list too.

There's a list of things I want done to my friendlist and blacklist but lets start with number one...
#1 - Ability to remove one than one person at a time.

I would love this, ff11 flist had similar info. And that was a ps2 game...

I agree 100%, I don't understand why it's a thing in the FC list but not Linkshell lists.

I think it would honestly be more helpful in LS communities considering there is such a limited number of people that can join one LS. With a free company, you have 512 slots to fill, with a LS you only get 128. That's 4 times the amount you get in a LS, so a LS is more likely to fill with inactive people quicker than a FC ever would. Linkshell's are rather restrictive as it is, and making sure you can provide a social channel to active members is something that's very important to some linkshells leaders. While linkshells like Hunt LS's can easily kick inactive players, some communities that's not an option since it's a channel that they often speak in and don't want to constantly hunt just to chat with people in that same community.

This. The feature is still useful for FCs too, but yeah it deffo makes sense to add to linkshells since the number of members is limited.

Yes please, our adders ls is reaching the cap. We need to start trimming the fat soon.

The leader of the chat LS I am a participant in gives a "star" to anyone they know is still active, and periodically asks for a roll call and stars people. She does a housecleaning every three months and deletes the no-stars, then starts shouting and inviting fresh bodies for chat.

It's a lot of work just to keep a LS from dying. If they didn't have the 128 member limitation it would not be such an issue :/

Man, that sounds like a lot of work. :\

It's silly since it's something that's already implemented in the free companies. The 128 limitation is very tight, a little too tight. They should really consider changing this, or making it easier for moderators of linkshells to keep active members in their channels. I've seen posts in the past where they mentioned not changing the linkshell system but it's clearly a system that needs to be looked at. There are so many "communities" people have, and it's hard to maintain an active role in these communities if you don't know who's been on and who hasn't been on especially when there are so many people with different play times.

This feature should be on both Linkshells and Friendlists and it makes absolutely no sense at all why it's not.

I'm pretty Yoshi & Co. commented on that once and it boiled down to too many server requests or something.

People have asked for this numerous times, myself being one of them. Sadly tho they said they wouldn't be implementing this feature into the game.

Well they need too. People want it.
They change things so dramatically because people complain about it, well I'm complaining it's not there and we need it.
Make linkshells more functional, more people would want to be apart of them.
Who wants to be apart of a dead LS? No one.

Agreed. I think this is one quality of life we really need.

If the number of server requests presents a problem, then they can just have it poll the vague time once per login, and only once in a 24 hour period. It's not meant to be super precise, it's meant to prevent from having to do such a chore of taking roll and housecleaning as was mentioned before. To add to that, they can limit it only to those who are promoted in a LS and not everyone (but not just leaders, either).

I'm hoping they find some way around the limitations.

They said for years they couldn't increase inventory space in XI and yet they came out with so many new inventory options as the game progressed. If they honestly wanted to help the community about something we actually want, something that could improve the LS function and make linkshells more active, they would figure out a way to implement it to make it easier on the LS leaders. Even if they can't make it so everyone can see who's been on last, they could at least give the leaders the option. They boast about how LS's are some cool feature to chat with members around Eorzea and find members of the same play style and goals, but it's a little difficult for it to function in that manner when we are unable to determine who is actually around and who is not. It shouldn't be some huge chore that was mention previously. Kicking members who didn't log on for a few days vs kicking someone who hasn't been on in a few months is a huge difference. Not everyone can or has time to make a huge spreadsheet of all their LS members to keep their LS's relevant. Especially with LS's that focus on clears, content, RP, and other things of that nature. Hunt LS's have managed to work by kicking players who aren't online, but even then? That is such a hassle that shouldn't even be there considering the function is working with other content.
