I wonder why bard still Bard don't have temporary aura when play song when MCH's turret can show effect when they switch to TP/MP regen mode. MNK and WAR have temporary aura when they get stack of Greased Lightning or Wrath/Abandon too. It is a little QoL for Bard that isn't hard to develop. What is the reason for only give aura to MCH's turret but not add it to bard's song too?

Really, the lack of persistent effects for abilities/buffs in general is really weird. You would think that the healer PVP ability that grants near-invincibility would have a visual indicator outside the buff icon, for example. Same thing with Hallowed Ground.

Actually the instruments in XI didn't go into hammer space, they filled one of your 50-80 pocket slots and between them and all the weapons and off-hand items could take up a fair chunk of your inventory (oh god, the macros... so many macros...). XIV is the one big on 'hammerspace'.

One of the best things a healer can DO in PVP is to bait a bunch of morons into whaling on them for 10 seconds with all of their offensive abilities going to waste via "MISS" after "MISS" while their team caps the undefended point.Quote:

You know all this without ever targeting him or seeing him activate these abilities.
A mi'qote with a spear is moving towards you. The spear tells you she is a dragoon, and you know that in a brief moment she will Spineshatter Dive you and then ruin your day. Fortunately, you have Swiftcast Tri-Bind ready to go and the range advantage. You tab target and let the spell fly, but you failed to notice the Fetter Ward icon there before you hit the button. Now you're getting limit breaked. -

Well bards get an aura during casting it. Would be nice having a subtle purple, orange, blue aura around us when effect is up though as well.

I think giving big flashing indicators to highlight when someone is using a core PVP skill eliminates a huge portion of the strategy involved in using said skills. In your example, that Tri-Bind wouldn't have saved you even IF you saw the Fetter Ward "effect" or whatever - at best you'd have saved yourself the Swiftcast, I guess? LOL.Quote:

Tri-bind has a 5y advantage on spineshatter. If you noticed the fetter ward quickly enough you could turn around and run until it expired. This isn't baby-proofing, this is providing the basic information needed to make the game legitimate. Without it, Wolves' Den has no business getting a ranked mode.
Hallowed Ground is seven minutes, thank you. It still shouldn't be invisible. -

please no more auras, the drk one is already annoying as it is in town, we dont need bards perma singing mages ballad in town just so they can go "hurder i look 2 cool 5 skool hurdur notice me" because everyone radiates light when they sing.
with that sort of thinking we should give EVERYONE auras, and make towns be seen from space, omg lets give plds super bright yellow auras when they are in shield oath and eclectic blue auras when they are in sword.
lets make blm auras 3 times bigger and they never go away ever just so they can notice their stacks better and so can everyone else.
better yet lets give ugly strobe light dank side like auras to every single job just because. -
