Dear team,
Why are tanks waiting over 2 hours to get into Void Ark? Why over 10 minutes for expert roulette. Please fix before everyone quits playing tank again.
And while you're at it please fix healer queues as well. Waiting 30m+ to get into an expert roulette isn't fun.
Omg I waited 45 min for a PVP queue as well....
But really it was the middle of the day when I expect no one to be playing... If you gonna complain about queue times post exact playtimes... They can't "Fix" it if your just trying to play in off hours.
There's a long wait for tanks because there is an excess of tanks wanting to run the content. It's pretty simple really, and not the result of any developer oversight or maniacal conspiracy against tank players
How can they fix a surplus of tanks queueing? Its apparent theres a lot of tanks atm and not enough dps due to how fast the dps queues pop
Seems like quite a turn around in Q expectations, I suspect very few DPS players will have any sympathy for complaints though. Perhaps a lot of part time tanks thought that they could get instant Qs, so we have a large surplus. I bet it will settle over time back to something more normal as the number of part time tanks dwindle.
Christ. Non-instant queues for tank after the patch and it seems like so many tanks are like:

Make friends with a DPS or two. It'll help a lot with new stuff (since it's 1 tank per alliance for Diadem and Void Ark).
Then you can return the favor for them later when DPS queues are long.
So many of this game's "problems" can be solved simply by making a few friends. ._.
OK, with apologies to Trek fans everywhere and the poor readers of this forum, I would like to present how I think many players of MMORPGs today will respond to the suggestion of making friends to run content.
::Kosmos casts glamor of a stereotypical robot gone mad from Star Trek on her self::
I am NOMAD.
Friends? what is 'friends'? Explain this concept please.
I am NOMAD. This concept is alien, it is...logical.
I am NOMAD. It is illogical, it does not compute.
I am NOMAD. "Make friends"? NOMAD is playing a video game.
I am NOMAD. Friends are resources to be consumed. You cannot make friends, only consume them.
I am NOMAD.
You are my friend.
You have 30 seconds to comply.
I am NOMAD.

Kosmos is far to pretty to be playing NOMAD for too long.
;)
There are only 3 tank slots available per run of Void Ark and tons of people are queuing as tanks. While that sucks for tanks to have so few slots available, we've seen the alternative in Labyrinth of the Ancients, where there were 6 tank slots and not nearly enough tanks to fill them, so LotA queues were abysmal for everyone. Between the two choices, it's an unfortunate reality that it's better to screw over a small group rather than the entire playerbase.
Tank queues are longer than 2 minutes? Oh, the humanity!!!!! I can't imagine anyone who'd be willing to deal with queues that long. Oh, wait...
Not you little smarty, tanks queue are longer than 50 min try again and your smart comment, in fact they are so long to the point I only have queue once this week because I have to wait more than a hour to get a pop, and honestly I haven't seen this bad for any class on the 2 years I've been playing this game, except if you try to queue for PVP as Flames.
It's true that by only having 3 tanks the queues are significantly faster for a much larger group, but it's also true that the queues for that small group are outright incredibly stupid to even consider to try and pop it.
Note that this also implies that I'm trying to farm a piece of gear that has the lowest % rate to drop. So...yeah this is a little crappie
All those part time tanks do nothing to help that 1:2:5 ratio. Also a lot of the posts in here are shameful and part of the problem. the DPS is the most played due to how many are needed for instances. Once you have an instance that cuts the needed amount of tanks in half even if only an average of 12.5% of the players played tank on a daily basis you would still have a massive roadblock present when trying to queue for this. It's not a matter of "having it good" for most instances, it's a matter of availability of slots for a class compared to how many jobs there are for a role. there are 3 tank jobs, 3 healer jobs, and 7 DPS jobs. obviously there are going to be way more players leveling/acquiring gear for a DPS at any given moment which is not a fault of the tank. Many of the players playing DPS/tank will obviously crossover to playing tank/DPS, but the slots for an instance will remain unchanged.
I went to bed.
Then I woke up. (Magic)
I found out I didn't have to go into work! Made me happy.
I looked at my pc screen.

It upset me. So I went into work.
So SE, make tank loot 100% drops, since were all waiting this long or do your token system for the armors. My queue time has been like this for the last 5 days from patch day. I've gotten to do void ark twice only.
Why did you guys think that 1 tank in a raid is fine? Can you change the rosters? Make it 2 tanks, 2 healers, 4 dps? Like Labyrinth? I'm sure my buddy who's a DRK and myself whos a WAR can out dps some of the players afk'ing in Void ark.
For real.
That's just ridiculous. Did you try to re-queue?
I've been in Q all day. As a warrior. And I have YET to get into Void Ark. Another example:
My Q was 86 minutes long. I notice my LS raid member as DRK in Void ark. I asked him how long he waited. He told me 30 mins.
My level of being upset continues to rise.
^ Even the norm of the DPS classes having long queue times is due to the ratios of slots to jobs. heaven forbid a new class comes out soon (samurai) and it turns out to be a DPS. Things will only get much much worse.
Maybe you just don“t queue for the right things??
This might seem hilarious from the DPS perspective, but every single tank which is waiting for Void Ark, is one less tank who could do the other content. ._.
Also tanks that get discouraged from tanking now will be missing when they are again needed.
Honestly, I just can't stop myself from laughing when I read some of the tank comments in here. It's basically
"It's not just not an insta-queue! 2 minutes waiting, we could bear that. But we wait for 30 minutes, maybe even a full hour! You can't even imagine how horrible that is!"
Dear tanks,
yes, we know, thank you. Waiting a minimum of an hour is the norm for many many dps players and has always been. That's what you made fun of for the longest time. That you guys are at the recieving end now is such sweet sweet irony and NOT a malfunction of the system. There are simply too many of you, just like there were always too many dps players before. But grief not, you will be the most hottest and sought after thing again at some point. I just hope you will take this experience with you and remember it in the future, everytime you abandon content you dislike at the entrance because "I have insta-queues anyway, who cares if those dps waited 3 hours to get into the dungeon/raid?"
This is funny!!!
U tanks now see how it is to be a dps waiting all that time just for the tank to rage quit lol now maybe we can all be on one accord about how bad que times are in general....cause the wait you tanks are experiencing is the norm for dps.
I have zero sympathy for Tanks complaining about queue times when they always act super arrogant about it towards DPS. Enjoy your wait and deal with it. We've dealt with it since the beginning.
tanks just need a dps friend to insta que them
like most dps need healer/tanks for 4/8 man content
Or instead of complaining, put together a premade alliance and queue with them...my server does it all the time. Started when WoD had such horrible wait times, now we do it for fun.
That would mean only gathers would ever bother to queue Diadem because there would be very little value to it for DoW/DoMs.
Why would anyone bother running Diadems when Alex normal is uncapped with way less RNG and can easily hold you over while getting ESOs gear?
Gear progression (for new players and some alts) under your idea becomes:
Lv60 - Get enough Law to get in to Alex normal
Gear in Alex normal until strong enough for Void Ark
Run Void Ark and Expert for gear and tombs and upgrade tokens.
Diadem becomes irrelevant immediately. Then this tread would become SE please fix Diadem queues..
QQQ QQQ QQQ QQQ
Here is suggestion the QQQing tanks, pick up another class. Give yourself a different playing experience and you will actually become a better tank for it. You will also give yourself the opportunity to always select the class with the fastest queue times.

I have already seen players with IL210 items that are better then other equipment of the same level. If anything the equipment needs to have it's stat budget toned down a bit so that there is actually a point to doing raids.
The point to doing the raids is to challenge yourself. The main achievement is clearing it. The loot you get is a nice bonus, one that can help you clear it in the first place or award you with something unique to show off for it.
But generally people only really care for the gear/stats. And most of those are probably the ones who can't clear the raid content in the first place.
What good are "more full time tanks" if they are queuing for content with a surplus of tanks? That tank is still not available to run other content where the tank is needed because of waiting in queue for the surplus content.
Where as, if that said tank picked up another class, ran this specific content, where there is a tank surplus, as another class and got the content done over with. That tank would then return to tanking other content faster.
Mostly the following scenario:
Someone wants to try tanking. They've never tanked before, so they want to take it slow with easier content first. OK, leveling covers the first leg, but what about stepping their toes into raiding?
CT/Void Ark series are one of the very few ways to do that (only really viable alternative I can think of is Alex Normal?). Only, dev team starts designing content for less tanks... see the vicious cycle forming?
