You should know this by now. The only reason Heavenwards trailer had a spoiler warning was because of the massive attempt to grab new players and also 2.5x was a beast. But every major patch trailer has leaked spoilers of some type. Plus, he's got "shown in trailer" powers so we know he'll be fine. Just always assume you're being spoiled, the track record for plot details beng in them is pretty much spotless
He just has a knife in him. It's not like they showed him dying or anything. Wouldn't call it a "major" plot point.
>doesn't want spoilers of things to come
>watches trailer for upcoming patch that shows things to come
???
It was just a stabbing, its not like you saw him in a coffin.
Don't worry, that was almost certainly a flashback or some sort.
How do I know that? It was raining. When was the last time you saw rain in Ishgard?
"just a scratch"
They're usually pretty good at designing trailers to show off parts and the direction of the main story without revealing too much. It's likely that Aymeric being stabbed isn't going to be too big of a deal on its own. They probably showed it because what is important and going to be the big plot point might be the context. Who stabbed him and why? It might even just be a flashback he's having. We know almost nothing.
Someone else recently got impaled by a sharp pointy thing in a cutscene. He died.Quote:

You do the math.

Kitchen knives are Serious Business in Final Fantasy. Or have you not ever played with Tonberries? :/Quote:
Not in a trailer though. Also, there's a massive difference between a magical spear and a kitchen knife.
It was a magical sleeping knife that makes you THINK hes dead but it turn out hes was just put into a death like slumber.
No, thats stupid they would never try that. Kappa.
Also, it should be noted that this particular scene wasn't shown at all in any trailer. Heck, just check the first full trailer of heavensward. Lots of story things were shown but the major parts weren't (Bismark, KotR, stabby thing, dragon transformation, that azys lla scene of a certain someone fighting the garleans..) Which is a reoccuring thing.
Conclusion: Characters don't get a death flag if their supposed death scene is shown in a trailer before we get to play said unreleased content
I haven't watched it yet. I don't mind spoilers. But Aymeric stabbed????
*FAN RAGE*
I WILL STAB WHOEVER STABBED HIM

Only a flesh wound
It's most likely a flashback to an old event pre-Calamity. Before it was covered in eternal winter, it did rain in Coethas. And it was very green.
He is underground, though. He has a grave and everything...
Thoooooooooooooough, so did Hildibrand. c;

You saw him stabbed. You don't know what leads to this, you don't know what happens after. hell, for all we know it could be a dream.
If you see Aymeric stabbed with a knife in his belly you know he won't die. They would never spoil a character's death in a trailer. So you can be sure about him. Almost.....
For me personally, something like this would only pique my interest more. Being stabbed is just a single part of it all, why was he stabbed, by whom, why is it always the gorgeous ones, what happens after, etc?
I get that we're all different though. Hopefully you'll still be pleasantly surprised once the story does come out. :)
New storyline is part of the patch. Why would you think they wouldn't have it, in the trailer?
Just a flesh wound...
Uhh, movie trailers are notoriously known for spoiling things too, so not sure what your point is.Quote:
The point is you can do good previews without spoiling anything, check any movie trailer for example.

Do you know how incredibly hard it is to die from a single stab wound?
