Thanks for the upcoming content SE.

I'm not 100% happy with the upcoming patch or things said in the Live Letter, (some things could have been better or explained in more detail) but regardless, the new patch looks awesome and I'm looking forward to it.

I hope Square manage to deal with the constant confliction of what the playerbase want, one minute nerfed content, the next minute difficult content, one minute raid focus, the next minute lack of something else, blah blah blah.

This is just a thread to say good job with a lot of the upcoming elements of the next patch. It looks really fun and I personally can't wait for it.

I'm a bit sad for less content, like only 2 dungeons, only 1 ex primal but i love exploratory mission and void ark i'll hope will be a bit challenging ^o^

Ya I just hope the normal version of the airship thing isn't a total pushover as a lot of ppl prob wont have the resources to do the hard one. 3 airships at rank 50? lol, why?

But overall I like what I see, the arboretum thing looks fun, along with void ark, and airships.

My only drawback is the materia on raid/tomes gear, I fear that people might want to kick party members who are not pentamelded. That would be a great burden for me, since I don't have lv60 crafters to meld or omnicrafter friends.

Really looking forward to this patch. Voyages should be a nice change. Want to.see what they do with Nidhogg and the WoD as well.

3.1 looks good so far. The Zundu Beast Tribe quests have me curious as to what they'll consist of. The Ixal went in a completely different direction with crafting quests. Would it be too farfetched to guess at gathering quests for the Owls?

Edit: Took a look at the transcript and didn't see Vath yet. Next patch, SE?

Most of the Patches after 2.2 was just 1 EX primal and yeah we get 2 dungeons but we also get:

Minon battles, Airship missons, new GS mini games, relic questline, 24 man raid, new hairstyles, flying mounts, more minions.

to me this patch seems to bring us the most content any patch has.

well, hairstyles every patch had, even minions and mount sometime,
relic questline isn't something new, and even 24-man raid,
minigames and LotV will be a thing but will not endure so much.. look at TT or Chocobo racing.. are fun but if they keep them "hard" and not "fun", less people will play it costantly.

every patch was 1 primale EX, yes, but was a NEW primal, this is a EX version of a story mode. I'm happy if will be difficult BUT i'm not excited cuz is a fight that already know as hype.

I hope more in challenge than quantity in this patch... cuz older patch offer more content but with ridicolous challenge ^^

can't wait for this awesome patch, i am waiting for void ark and pet battles the most

Maybe they are trying different things to see what works and what don't. If they listened to EVERYTHING we said, we'd have a game bigger than every other MMO put together and STILL not be happy.

I am happy. The whole thread was a thank you to SE. The things I'm unhappy about are perfectly valid, such a some of their answers in the Live Letter :)

I meant that reply to your saying lack of content, it's just 1 dungeon were not getting but in replace of that 3rd dungoen is Airship missions.

About the New primal part, were still getting a EX fight which is like the main thing for patches. Peeps do the HM version of the primals just once but farm EX. So as long as we're getting 1 EX may it be based on a new primal or a fight that didn't have one not that it matters either way, it's ok. As you said you want more in challenge, King Thordan shall provide.

I think its a bad move making tome gears materia-meldable!

im very happy with the patch overall, because they adding something that not in the weekly lockout system.

with aetherial gear you can build a unique status focus for your class, this is the start SE, make this game spark the player creativity, and please not repeat the safe token sytem for gearing.

and even i hate LoV before the live letter, now i have hope for the game, look very intertesting.

and the materia change in 3.2 just put strawberry in the cake, i love it. i really need gear drought for gearing motivation, and being ahead of everyone as far as possible. gearing in this game is sooo boring (i dont know about pre 3.0, i just start play in 3.0), because you will end with exact same gear with everyone in end game, you cant get ahead of everyone else regardless time and gil you spend, because gil is useless and grinding is non exsistant in this game. not everyone want boring safe path gear without any customization for end game, this is MMORPG not single player game. and being a better geared player is not a sin.


but they need to rework RNG in overmeld system/interface, so everyone happy.

I'm satisfied with the patch, looks great. The trailer is so cool. Also I think the Lala saying "I'm terrible, terrible sorry to have kept you all waiting" in the trailer is SE way to apologize for the late patch after the vacation.

I'm glad I didn't sell all the IV materias from my airship ventures >.> Never expected them to force that onto the playerbase. I see how it has its uses, but now I'm going to be forced to meld every single tome/raid patch, and likely drop millions if I want even remotely decent stats. ._.

Not looking forward to melding my combat gear. Everything else is great.

You know this is going to come up immediately. "Are you fully melded?" "No I'm not." "<Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass>"

If you read all the information, you will be able to not only be getting materia from many people doing airship ventures and spiritbonding, but you can also purchase materia it said for points you get from exploratory missions. I think there will be enough materia around to keep prices somewhat low and if you don't want to buy them for gil just use your exploration points. Anyways until patch is out there's no reason to worry since we don't know what's going on for sure yet. I for one am so happy with what I read in the live letter it literally has brought my excitement back for the game.

lol no worries, I know I do that all time, I write something and people get the wrong end of the stick 9/10.

Ive really been looking forward to the King Thordan extreme ever since I did the MSQ. I was hoping the Singularity Reactor extreme would be the next trial. The Void Ark will also be sweet, the first level 60 24 man raid. Other additions like the new dungeons and Pharos Sirius hard are definitely welcome. Island exploratory missions seem really interesting, cant wait to try out the new content.
