Okay this is a speculation thread, regarding The Warring Triad
e know that they and they they are a reference of the beings of the same name in FF VI, but what we don't know is what the names of the individuals members are.
Each of the primals seem to have a name and at least one title. While there is precedence of Primals named after mythical Species (The initial three and Leviathan) the named of Demon Fiend and Goddess seem more fitting as part of the titles. But as for what the names are. There are two possibilities
Now this what do you think the Triad's members will be named in XIV?
- Amaterasu, Susano'O and Tsukiyomi, unlikely since in neither game did the Triad (judging from the Azys Lla statues) resemble the Shinto gods but they have some parallels.
- Sophia, Sepheroth and Zurvan, those were the names Tetsuya Nomura assigned to the Original Triad more likely than the Japanese gods...except for the fact that there is another FF character named Sepheroth.

Well, all primals or almost are already named after other FF characters, so a Sepheroth wouldn't be that Strange...
I don't know about their name, but maybe their number has something to do about the way Othardians see the ether, according to ninja quests... There are only three "elements", in That classification, and one might even link them to the three deities being Zodiark, Midgardsormr and Hydaelyn. I don't know, it's a mere supposition x) -

Its Odin, Urth, and Wi'Yu. Odin is confirmed, and its no big leap that the others are the other two. They also fit the original archetypes of Fiend, Demon, and Goddess as given in FF6, which we all know Yoshida has an especial fondness for.

Odin is one of the Three Gods of Fighting, what is translated to English as "The Warring Triad". -

Toshin, as far as we've been given information, is more or less analogous to the English "eikon." However, because the Triad existed before XIV in VI, they couldn't call them "the Eikon Triad" and get the same 'ff feels' -

It's also confirmed ingame that the warring triad is locked within the failing Centrifugal Crystal Engine on Azys Lla. Odin is not one of them since they haven't broken free yet.

OK, Zantetsuken is a Primal while Odin, The Dark Divinity, is an Eikon apparently.
(My theory is that upon defeat, Odin's will "Summons" his sword from his remaining Aether and then the sword tempers a host to become Odin's new body)
But the Warring Triad has nothing to do with Odin since at the time of Allag Odin was Mortal for a time. (With sealing him and the demon blade at the cost of her life likly what caused his final transformation) but The Triad predates Allag and are suposidly infinatly more powerful than the Primals we've slayen to date.
It's almost like they are immortal aspects of nature. Goddess=Atral Aether, Demon=Umbral Aether, and Fiend either representing Anti-Aether (Nillity?) Or simply Chaos it's self. -

At the same time, headcanon's the exact same reason to say that Odin IS. That very quote you mentioned says the allags used the term "toshin" for the primals, the Garleans later started using the term "eikon" because the Allag used it first, so on that reasoning, Garuda is also on the Warring Triad, and Titan, and Ifrit, and Bismark and...it's really not looking like a Triad anymore, is it? Just because the Warring Triad is called "Three gods of fighting" doesn't mean there aren't more "gods of fighting"
In fact, that very same paragraph, Ferne calls Odin a primal. Does it mean he ISN'T part of the Warring Triad? That's yet to be seen. Does it mean he IS? That's also unknown yet. Personally, I don't think he isQuote:

From the FF wiki about the Warring Triad: Demon, Fiend and Goddess. In FFIX they were referenced as , Truth of the Devil, Promise of the Evil God and Illusion of the Goddess.
They never actually had names but might have been loosely based on Susano'o, Amaterasu, and Tsukuyomi.
It's sounds like two of them may have become known as Zodiark (Devil) and Hydaelyn (Goddess) while always being at odds with each other. That makes me wonder if the statues were summoned representations of the two. However that leaves the identity of the third idol a bit of a mystery. Unless they are there because someone tried to pull a Kefka way back in the day..
As for Odin.. I'd still like to know what would happen if Gilgamesh happened to be the next random guy that picks up Odin's sword. An 8 legged horse or awkward moments of arguing with someone who isn't there. -
