Mana and Ifrit. (Glicth/Bug)

So Im just curious if anyone else has come across a glitch in the Ifrit fight where mana stops completely regenerating.

I know how the knew mana regen system works and know that its not this.

So I started the fight and everything is fine for the first 10 mins, but after I got hit by his charge, my mana stopped regenerating completey, I stood in the same spot for quite a while and didn't get 1 drop of mana back.

I was not creating emnity, I was not moving, tried to explain it to my LS members and they just told me I must have been moving too much in battle, which kind of irrated the shit out of me lol.

So anyone else had this problem ?

After a while I was just left running around like a spare prick so I thought I would sit down to see if it would help and it did, mana started to come back pretty quickly but its not like you can sit down whilst Ifrit is trashing about the place is it.

BTW this happened both times I tried the fight last night. (nobody else in the fight experienced it)

You must stay near Ifrit to regenerate your mana ^^

Sometimes it seems to bug out, yeah. Seems like moving a little bit usually helps, for me, anyway.

See, I've tried moving around to see if I can restart the process where it starts thinking I'm standing still. It still didn't work. I did this fight about 10 consecutive times and this problem happened in about half of the fights.

Maybe it's a special effect he does? I haven't done either fight yet, so I wouldn't know the specifics.

Also, make sure you don't have a DoT on. I learned that the hard way exploring with some buddies in the Kobold mines and they fling around poison and bio like it's going out of style.

From what I've seen if you get hit in any fight, you engage in battle regardless if you did anything if you get hit.

It sounds like when he hits you, it puts you on his hate list, thus making it to where you don't regenerate HP/MP.

For the people who think you can't regenerate mana in battle, you can even if you've been hit. Incurring enmity means you are doing something to the monster that is increasing your enmity. Standing around in battle isn't incurring any enmity. You can actually gain mana while being swung at if you aren't taking damaging or hitting the monster.

but once you have enmity, it doesn't just go away.

Hate is addative, once you get hit or do a spell, you have hate. And it never goes away until you die.

Yes, but it is possible to regen MP mid-battle, as long as you're not taking damage or doing anything.

Having enmity isn't the same as incurring enmity. Again, incurring means you are actively gaining enmity. If I wasn't posting this on my phone I would quote the patch notes that say you can still gain mana in combat. BTW I've already tested this so arguing to the contrary is pointless.

PS this has nothing to do with the ifrit battle other than the fact that, aside from a bug, you should be able to gain mana.
