Yeah this is cool, but stuff people already have been *yawn*ing over for weeks now on the forums.

Very cool arrangement and the music is an amazing addition to punctuate it, but we all know what happens since we beat the expac into the ground a month after it launched.

I'm actually surprised they didn't showcase Dark Knight at all. Was expecting their LB3 right after Astrologian and Machinist.

ARE THEY USING LB3 INSIDE DUNGEONS?!

Well it is the Tokyo Game Show.

I kinda regret switching back to English with HW now, almost all characters sound better except Estinien and Ravana. Oh well, it was worth it for the in-dungeon comments from bosses.

Nothing new. Although I have to say I prefer the JP voice actors for a few of the characters, mainly Alphinaud, Ravana, and Thordan.

Complete opposite for me. Now that I heard it in English, JP voices sound completely off. All this trailer did for me was reopen old wounds.. and reaffirms my hate for the Ascians.

Yes it can, not everyone have been playing since HW launch, myself included.

can someone explain why they show a trailer with stuff that is THREE MONTHS OLD for a recent game show? everything on that trailer has been in the game for 3 months or more by now. wth SE? this trailer makes zero sense except maybe for trying to attract new players only?

That's exactly the reason, there's going to be many people who aren't familiar with FFXIV at TGS. The VR demo and this are both used to promote the game.

English voice acting in Heavensward is actually pretty damn good, with a couple of exceptions (Merlwyb doesn't sound right, despite the voice actor herself being decent. Urianger just makes me sad).

I'll miss you, Gideon Emery. You are my favorite VA that does nothing but elves.

Yugiri's is the only VA I would actually call bad, though the changes from ARR take getting used to.

Yugiri gets like barely any air time so I already forgot how she sounds like.

I think she only spoke during the Uldah tangent, but it was bad. She was trying to sound like one of those old dubs of Kung Fu movies.

I LOVED Merlwyb's voice in ARR. I mean, she actually sounded her age, for one. For two, her voice actress also played Knight-Commander Meredith in Dragon Age II and the daedric prince Meridia in Skyrim. I always found her voice to be one of stern authority and that just seemed so perfect for Merlwyb. Now, her voice just sounds almost young and with less experience behind it.
