Can we get CT roulette or 1 party version?

Hello,
almost every content is still somehow doable via DF, but the CT is starting to fall behind a lot.

Can we maybe get a roulette (that many people suggested already, it is not my invention) or 1 party version? The reason for request is simple, glamour, minions and easier access for new players. :)

I don't think a roulette is suitable, since it's only three instances anyways you could just queue for each of the three. And it might lead to you never seeing some of them, which for some people looking to do these for the quest completion and achievements would lead to them quickly getting bored.

Allowing for undersized I think would be enough for anything between 1 and 24 people preformed and uncapped. You'd still have chances at all the drops considering how they spawn and what undersized allows/disallows. I assume a full party of L60 would be able to clear as fast as an alliance of L50, with maybe some modifications to approaching certain mechanics.

MSQ only has 2 dungeons, so the lack of content isn't the best reason against it, especially when future 24 man raids could be added when they're dated. As for never seeing some of them, could you explain? From my understanding, the roulette finds content someone's queuing for, and puts you into that content. Its purpose is to populate that content so new players can experience it. Besides, people rarely ever queue for it now, the chances of them seeing the raids if a roulette is introduced is infinitely higher than it is now.

Plus if there was daily bonus of atleast 60 eso or even more (waiting time is long, the raid itself is long too, it has to be atleat on par with expert in my opinion) it would make CT, ST, WoD and Void Ark in future much easier to get into. :)

I'd prefer undersized to a roulette. It doesn't gate anything, so it doesn't need a roulette like msq/trial. I'd rather not farm 2.X content for 3.X gear as much as possible.

Really people only need it for glamour/minion/for kicks, and undersized can do all those things. New players don't need it unless they fall into one of the other categories.

Well there is the story, and experiencing it in a way as close as possible to the original way it was done. I know if I was a new player I'd rather play through it at level 50, and actually have to perform some mechanics. Why not both though?

Well you wouldn't have to farm it. You would be able to do your esoterics cap the way you do it now, it would only offer new ways to other people who don't mind running old 24mans. There is no gating included in roulette.

Well, because this isn't a single player game. To be blunt, the lvl 50 experience of CT doesn't exist anymore. That experience required 23 other people of similar level and gear. Making it a roulette wouldn't do that.

That wasn't really what I meant anyways, though. People were comparing it to msq/trial roulette, which contains things you actually need in order to continue the game. You don't need ct for anything but ct. If new players want to do ct, that's one thing, but they'll never need it. Really what you're describing just falls into the "for kicks" category anyways.

I really don't think anyone's gonna run it unless the rewards are pretty solid. At which point it's still not required, but you're shooting yourself in the foot by not doing it, and your other avenues of farming would lose their population. I know there were people that really liked CT, but in general it wasn't very well liked.

My main problem is just that I don't want to be backtracking on content. I'd rather the focus be on heavensward content to get things in heavensward. I'm not against people being able to do ct, but I feel like allowing undersized parties would accomplish that just fine. Adding incentives would be overkill.

Don't forget that to join undersized you would still have to make an undersized alliance which would take hours even on populated server.

If they added ability to enter in undersized party via DF, it might be abused and people would join as 1 tank, 1 heal and maybe fail the raid.

Only undersized possibility would be if they completely remade the 24man to be doable in 1 party, which would take a lot of effort compared to just adding it into roulette.

EDIT: I accept your opinions, I am just trying to come out with the easiest to add plus the most efficient way to implement my request. :)

That's pretty much how I'm imagining it. I don't see why that'd be so much harder. They just have to let you q as a party, they don't need to make any other adjustments. I don't think there are any mechanics that would require more than maybe 5 people at level 60. "Completely remade" feels like a bit of a stretch.

Well.. there are a few mechanics that are splitting the parties, but yeah, if devs wouldn't mind adjusting this a bit, then it would be possible and I agree that it would be the best option. I have just tried to offer as many options as possible so they wouldn't look at this thread and say "hmm, too hard to implement, we won't do this." :)

But I would definitely love the way to run the raid again if it even meant that I would run it with only 5-7 FC mates instead of 23 people. I believe it is still better than letting the content die out completely. :)

I support the "1 party version" option! Preferably undersized.

I've only just recently done the quests to unlock CT, and when I asked some people in my LS, they were like, "Good luck getting a party together for that. But really, just forget about it. It's dead content, and no one is interested in doing it anymore." ...Which is a shame 'cuz I'd really like to experience it at least once. But, getting myself and 23 other people together or to queue for CT, in reality, will never happen. But an undersized party... that I could see work.

Please make CT have an Undersized Party option Square Enix. :)

If they would do a 1 party version, they would have to redo every single fight in the raids... Which is a lot of work when they could easily make it a roulette

A weekly type roulette for them would work nicely.

Have fun to do Atomos in CT1 with just 8 people (where 4 people have to be on each of the 3 platforms)

Undersized mode for CT will not work without a complet redesign of the mechanics.
And seeing that the devs haven't changed anything on the mechanics in the normal dungeons for undersized mode it will not happen for CT.

That is why I suggested the roulette option too. :rolleyes:

I really only want the Minion in WoD but yes getting a group now for it is impossible cause DF never goes through not enough people doing it.

Yep, I want the demon armor for my tank (I always did WoD as dps) for glamour, but can't get a group together for it either in DF or PF. :(

MSQ was because it's MSQ it's required to progress forward so of course there was a roulette designed to entice others to do it again once they completed it in an effort to encourage more people to do that Duty.

With the Crystal Tower there is currently no incentive other than glamour to do it so adding a roulette won't really do much atm unless you maybe do the following.

Wait, I thought we WERE getting it in a Roulette once the new 24-man was established (like 3.1 to 3.12 ish).


In any case, it needs to be added considering it can take well over an hour to get into them, and it'd give us another option to gain exp/eso tomes in Heavensward, as well as powering newer players through.
