One of the non-interactive NPCs mentions
Clockwork Doomtrain
Samurai and Red Mage confirmed.
Next Primal Doomtrain confirmed.
Half Life 3 confirmed.
or both?
i'm guessing XI fans will be disappointed in red mage, when it's not what they are expecting.
Koji also mentions moon and other continents :o
He also says something about the new xpac being underwater, underground or on the moon. :D Fingers crossed for underwater!
Samurai & Red Mage cancelled, Drakeos didn't keep those idle musings to them selves.
"There are also two NPC talking:
What comes after white and black? I say red.
Red? Don't you mean blue?"
So Red Mage, Blue Mage and Samurai maybe ?
OMG I'm so hyped...I have no idea what Blue Mage even is but I'm hyped :D
I'm honestly hoping for underwater with us being able to swim. The water in this game is too pretty and I often feel like wanting to swim in it.
In the rest of the series, blue magic has been about copying enemy abilities and using them yourself.

I have no damn idea how it'd work in an MMO, but it's neat to think about.
It worked in FFXI. You would be able to learn certain spells at certain levels. Your artifact job armor would help you learn spells. The enemy would have to cast the spell to learn it. If your magic skill was high, you could learn it. There was some RNG to the system in that game.Quote:

Well... this explains a lot :P
Itll probably be like any other job. Except the job quests will be finding some beast mob and casting an ability steal on them before they use it so you can learn it .... after you turn it in, lol
Assuming this post has any credibility, Samurai better be DPS! Was pretty disappointed with DRK.
Doomtrain would be awesome. I was thinking about it the other day while playing that part of FFVI. After seeing what they did with Bismark, it can really be an amazing encounter.
So in this scene, a moogle had sex with a bird.... FILTHY MOOGLES!

Also, where do I get this bird? =P
In addition, check out the new Official FFXIV Controllers made to look like Monk Weapons.

Let's not forget their cool armor

Would be great and hilarious if Samurai looked like this:

I cant wait to play Red Mage :D my fave job of all jobs throughout FF series. Even though I doubt itd be anything like XI's red mage - I do expect that it will be a black(or ACN)/white cross-over with a stance switch-a-roo... so probably playing similar to SCH which I currently play XD
SAM for 4.0 then? Its gonna suck having to wait that long. All I know is that they better include Tachi:Gekko as a skill for it

I don't usually use images to reply to people, but it's rather fitting this time.
There were already comments made from Yoshida himself on one of those interviews he recently did where I denounced any rumors of a new job coming within 3.0's lifetime. He explained they dev team was very busy and did not have the time to accomplish that within the 3.0 series of patches. Perhaps 4.0 but not 3.0.
Yeah we assume its 4.0 for jobs and 3.x for a Primal or two. BUT I do remember them saying we wont have to wait as long for 4.0 as we did for 3.0
Please make Samurai a tank ;(
Yoshida already said that in the world of XIV Samurai would be more fitting as a DPS.
Crazy as it sounds I'd love to see a second Lancer-type class based on the "Lancer legions of Ala Mhigo"
I don't get why people want Red Mage it's basically a hybrid that uses already existing magic categories (black/white) and some melee skills similar to the gladiator. Honestly if Red Mage is introduced they will butcher the job like they did with summoner.
in my opinion Blue Mage should be our next Mage job while SE expressed concern about spell hunting it's really not that bad and that's one of the appeals that the ffxi blu had (Spell hunting)
Imagine... BLU doing enemies marked AoEs, that could hit party members if caught in it... the rage everywhere...
One of the NPCs also that had a passing comment mentioned more housing.
I liked all the little hints and easter eggs that were alluded to here. But I'll be damned if I still don't want Dancer to be one of the new classes. ; ;
