So far, I have found two possible hint about the next Primal fight that Yoshi mentioned in the 14-hours broadcast. One is "Clockwork Doomtrain" and the other is "a bomb or a behemoth". XD
Also I found the Producer talking about new housing too lol.

This is what I thought was the spoiler for the next primal trial
Mitsutoshi Gondai: We won't stop there, of course─everyone on the dev team will continue working their hardest to create quality content. Hmmm, maybe we'll go with the final boss for the next extreme battle...
Pointing to the ever possible "Singularity Reactor (Extreme)" imo
but I did enjoy Clockwork Doomtrain, the Red/Blue Mage arguments, and pretty much everything Koji Fox said
It's not a chair though. If you look at what Takai is facing and consider the movement of the Nightmare, it's a rodeo simulator ... heh.
The only direct pointer I saw to a primal was the model Doomtrain speech bubble. Also the "What evils would bring together two primals, a behemoth and a bomb?" bubble, near Foxclon. Other than that, it's obscure or not in The Eighteenth Floor at all. There's also a model Gration in Yoshida's room, so that's a possible CE or event giveaway.
The airship models are a Bronco, Enterprise and Imperial Assault ship, not a dreadnought. (I can't remember the exact name for the class of ships, but they feature at Occidens in the lv15 CS w/ Gaius and the Tribuni; in Castrum Meriduanum's dungeon and wreckage in the Praetorium)
The only counterpoint I have to Doomtrain is that never have we received a "Primal" minion and the NPC mumbling about it is clearly surrounded by minions. (You can argue Ysale/Louisoix being 'primal minions' but they're Wind-Ups! Clockwork does seem to fit Allagan things tho so maybe Doomtrain CONFIRMED ALLAGAN?????)
Another is the Phantom Train, which is Garlean transport... unless the Doomtrain is an another idea the Garleans were inspired by. Of course, that would remove Doomtrain from being a Primal, unless they give it the Zantetsuken treatment (normal train, but then something 'Primal' somehow found its way into the machine, allowing it to take possession... or something along those lines).
"What evils would bring together two primals, a behemoth and a bomb?"
Hmmm... Hades? I mean, in FFIX, he was the only way we could get Ark (and combined other things in his shop). He's also evil, so there's that.
He's talking about 4.0 when he mentions this, not primals. Undersea adventure would be fun. Problematic to base a whole expansion around though.
Origin? There are a limited number of options if you go by beast tribes. Feels like Doomtrain is an obvious red herring though. Its Japanese name is Glasya Labolas, which is a boss in Syrcus Tower for us (inc. retcon).Quote:
Naoki Yoshida: We've barely ushered Heavensward out the door, and already we need to decide on a direction for the next expansion. The deadline for that opening movie storyboard is right around the corner...
Where should we base this new adventure? Under the sea? Under the ground? On the moon, mayhap...? Even if we do have a fair amount of time until release, we have to plan out announcements, and coming up with a brand new scenario is never an easy task.
I just wonder did he mentioned anything about underground before? Because I found that point beside sea and moon is really interesting.
I remember there are some lore around Grindania about people live underground, right? If not I'm sorry If I made any mistake. :D
The next extreme should be the final boss.... CHAOS
Yes; there's the ruin just south of Buscaron's Druthers that's being excavated, and at least one mining levequest in that area mentions that no remnants of the city are allowed to exist above ground. I've been wanting to repel down into that ruin for about two years, now....
That would be Gelmorian ruins wouldn't it? There are remains of Gelmorra all over the Shroud. I think Tam Tara was one of their crypts.
That could actually be really interesting particularly since it could involve the Duskwights who frankly we haven't seen much of as a race.
Still, I wouldn't read too much into those comments. They are very vague.
Or... This could all be a joke played to confuse players who have been talking about these topics here for ages.
Here's a thought. What if the Clockwork Doomtrain drops from the Void Ark?
Hmmm, Maybe a stop by the Thavnarian Arcepeligo to prep for our sieg of Othard? How much do we know about Thavnar after all? Head to Alamihgo to kick the rest of Gaius' men out of Eorzea (maybe show he survived?) then head east to Thavnar before storming Oerhard. Sounds like water travel to me.
I do think that there needs to be a certain way that this story progresses. After all, we still need to handle everything in Eorzea first. Heavensward problems aside (like Nidhogg and the soon to be released Void Ark) and then problems that have rolled over from A Realm Reborn (like Omega still in the Flats). Once that's handled we still have Ala Mhigo to worry about since that was technically an Eorzean city state at one point. Once we free them, then I think we should start going to Thavnairian Archepeligo and then to Othard to help free them.
Before reaching 18th Floor, I have a big bet those bugs are related to Omega. Just my speculation. :P
Final Boss of Void Ark, Ark confirmed?

I loved how they wrecked the fourth wall. Also, that bit about stamping out one bug only for two more to pop up? Totally true.
Anyway, the only thing pointing to a future Primal that I saw was the Elezen who mentioned Doomtrain.
The Final Fantasy IV references just keep stacking up...
Kain minion and Baron equipment from pre-order/CE.
The moon at the end.
Alexander/Giant of Babil.
Now we have the secret Developers Room with the 18th Floor...
I would not be surprised if the "maybe we'll go with the final boss for the next extreme battle..." mentioned ends up being Zeromus... I have long since suspected that the Twelveswood might be a Forest of Moore reference, with ExDeath sealed within... More so the moment Krile got name dropped... What do Zeromus and ExDeath have in common? Espers; Zeromus, the Condemner, and Exodus, the Judge-Sal. Belias, the Gigas was already brought up long ago in the Summoner questline, it should only be a matter of time till the others are... Tiamat warned us that the Allag sealed a lot of Primals/Eikons away, I expect the Ivalice Espers to be turning up sooner or later... Given most of them were based on the final bosses of previous games... Yeah...
Hate to be a party pooper on the Dark Steel Theory train, but "The Final Boss" ment FF14\\'s Final Boss. 2.0 we got Ultima Weapon HM (Which was actually EX Trial level content) and Thorden VII was The Final Boss of 3.0. It\\'s almost conferming Thorden EX for a future patch.
In Knights of the Round EX I hope Zephirin gets to play a bigger role.
/knuckle crack
I've been at work so I can't contribute to the discussion of potential Easter Eggs in Rising. I'll report back later if I find anything.
Zemus/Zeromus could be a primal, he was a summon in FF12 and would fit the whole FFT/FF4/FF12 references being tossed around in HW.
I think you guys had it, but let it slip away. Neither bomb nor Behemoth are primals, but what they do have in common is that they appear in F.A.T.E.s.
So, where does a big bomb appear in a F.A.T.E.? Ok. Now, where does a Behemoth F.A.T.E. spawn?
And what zone connects the above areas, bringing the two together?
Hmm. What clue could possibly lie in Mor Dhona...
Well, whatever it is, it certainly isn't the train in Castrum Meridianum that we never see, even though we're told those tracks are used to supply all of the Castrums in Eorzea. No, definitely not that.
I am still hoping the next Primal is Ixion but boy howdy would I be all over a Doomtrain Trial...
I'm all for Ixion, though Doomtrain would also be a welcome entry.
While we're at it, I've always found it amusing when artists put in a little homage to FF's lore...

Wade, never change. The multiple swords double as comedy and a bit of a wink to Gilgamesh, while those in the ground look like a Fate Stay/Night allusion (hello there, Archer).
Anyone noticed the cutscene where it shows exactly 12 developers surrounding you? That was a neat touch. It kinda implies that YOU are the Hydalyn that keeps the game going, haha
Given that the "what evil would bring together two primals, a bomb and a behemoth" dialogue pops up while you're talking to the Community Team lead, wouldn't that just be a shout-out to some of the community reps? The two primals are Bayohne (Titan icon) and Grekumah (Odin icon), the bomb is Zhexos and the behemoth is Camate.
. . . Official Forums confirmed for next Primal.
This is just what i was thinking! A minion :)Quote:
Doom train as a drop from The Void Ark
The doomtrain is hinting at a minion.
He called it a clockwork doomtrain and the man saying it is surrounded by minions.
