WTF, Yoshi-P... rebalance the damn Dzemael Darkhold. BEFORE FOUNDATION DAY IS OVER.

I want my 4,000 Seals so I can buy my Patriot's Choker.

Seriously, Yoshi-P. One of the better endgame contents you have and you can't be arsed to rebalance it for the new system? I am very, very pissed right now, at the very prospect that I will likely be missing out on the limited items from Foundation Day because SOME NOOB DEVELOPER FAILED TO REBALANCE THIS CRAP.

This wasn't end-game content. Also -- What kept you from gaining seals before this patch? I've been seeing the Choker all over the place.

I did Dzemael a few days prior, with the quest active, but I had forgotten to properly flag it for the dungeon. But by the time I realized my mistake, I was out of time. I had to deal with RL matters by that time. And hadn't had an opportunity to do the dungeon since. People have lives, you know...

The quest was Into the Dark for Limsa Lominsa.

Guild Leves? Chocobo Caravan? Its only a 1000 seals...

It's all for the grand scheme of things, foresight I don't think was lacking as they assumed people would be doing the content available to them, which you had a bit to gather seals up. We're basically glorified beta testers at this point, all of this will be "new" or "unique" to the PS3 release players, we're going through the motions of something that is generally adjusted during a beta phase.

Very rarely do you see a game stay live while it's being overhauled, this is the exact reason why.

Haven't done Darkhold yet, LS peeps were too busy running around crafting stuff. What's the problem with Ogre now?

Also Ifrit Part I give 1,000 Seals if you haven't done it.

Ren... I just... I can't believe the amount of energy you put forth in your complaints. You ensure that they are entangled with drama and you fiercely make sure everyone knows that thins particular thing isn't to your liking.

That 1k was for Founder's Day, you only get it once. And the Patriot's Choker is only 1,000 seals.

Yeah its only once. But right now during foundation event, the amount of seals you get are doubled, so its easy to earn enough to buy the choker, its definitely worth it.

I guess most people are busy with other things now, but we just tried Dzemael tonight -- and things are different.

We couldn't beat the ogre at all. Other parties we met outside were having the same trouble.

This is going to take some work again. ^^;

People were doing DH in bikinis before 1.19.

This is pretty much the same reason why Ifrit hasn't been bested yet. People still need to optimize their gear.

Do it with 3 other people of the same GC and you get a base of 1.5k seals.

Doubled for Foundation Day that is a potential 3k seals.

Did I mention Easy Ifrit is soooooo easy? You spend more time in the cutscenes than the actual battle.

Perhaps.

Everyone in our party was in appropriate gear from the very beginning.
Granted, we are not super awesome players. But most of us have cleared Dzemael many times already.

I'm sure there is a way to clear it now... but the ogre is a beast again for now.

People need to figure it out, you cannot keep the ogre in 1 spot anymore without the ghost destroying you.

Another words we are at ground 0 again on darkhold.

I actually spent the entire time in a cutscene, I crashed as the intro scene ended, and logged back in just time for the closing cutscene.

I actually did not get to see the r30 Ifrit at all, but I got credit (gotta love that fix).

I can't believe I am going to say this... But you are doing it wrong somehow.... I have yet to run Dzhamel.... and I had enough seals to buy my chocobo and the patriots choker.... easy.... all I did was do the lvl 20-30 GC quests.... AND I bought a the body piece... for my GC....

By appropriate gear, I presume you mean all the new r45+ non-dated gear? If at that point it still feels impossible, the Darkhold may have been optimized to provide a challenge for players in full materia-enhanced gear - just like Hyper Ifrit so clearly is.

That being the case, there wouldn't be anything to complain about, as they effectively re-introduced old, bested content as being challenging all over again.

Also, saying the DH was not adjusted for this patch is rather funny, seeing as how every single mob in the game, especially the bosses, had to be changed stat-wise with the way stats work being changed themselves in game.

They already lowered the mobs from 60 to 52, what more do you want.

I don't know how far along you were on the company quest prior to the patch but I had only done LL. After the patch I completed everything I needed to join a company and earned enough Seals for my Chocobo Insurance + my Choker with some left over. haven't done a dungeon raid yet. BTW after joining a company do the side quests before the 11th. The are good for at least an additional 1200 Seals even if you do not do the party 1.

The choker is 1,000 seals. Anyway though, you saying you can't beat the Ogre? I'm finding balance as an issue to be hard to believe. What is it, ghost damage that's getting you? It's not that hard to never get hit by a ghost. Why don't you post what's up and maybe we can help you. Hell, I'd even be willing to run it with you.

Also can you do the GC side quests? That will put you @ over 1,000 seals.

Aren't you pissed about everything?

Darkhold is not broken at all. It took us a few tries but we were able to get batraal to about 10% before wipe. We only lost because we were at 7 people (healer had to leave after quest clear).

In a lot of ways its actually easier now. The key is the ghosts hit VERY hard now so you can not just let the tank stay stationary and suck up the damage. Also can't rely on Archers anymore. My lancer was tearing shit up with an NQ Champion Lance much harder then my ARC would have with the Dated Crab+2
