Dragoon has had PIE compared to other DPS since 1.0 because in 1.0 PIE was similar to what DET is now, in that it was a DPS secondary stat for Lancer. I think between 1.0 and ARR, this was never addressed, and thus DRG has unusually high PIE and therefore high MP. Considering DRG cannot cast any spells, will this ever be re-purposed or put to a use in the future? Maybe in the future, DRG can get 'breath' attacks or support spells that have cast times and consume MP? Maybe a Healing Breath (a DRG staple spell) or a Reis Wind (regen effect). Just something to make use of the huge MP pool we have, preferably for self heals when soloing or support. I mean I have like 4000 MP and can't use any of it for anything...?

Some crafting jobs have higher HP than others too. Useless but harmless 1.0 carryovers. DRG is already top of the pile, doesn't need its now-defunct PIE stat turned into yet another boost.

Yeah, breath attacks would be cool. Maybe something like Venus Gospel where we get a damage buff based on how much MP% we have, then Lancet to recover MP.

4275 without a group, to be precise. I'd love to be able to flip over to MP burning mode if I'm out of TP and invigorate isn't ready yet (a DRK habit I picked up), but I'm pretty sure giving DRG effectively two resource pools would just put every other DPS in the dirt forever.
Maybe they could give DRG MP a use if they made a (real) tank variant... -

I think Life Surge is Lancet.
Ryuken is the JP phrase for Lancer/Dragon/Lancet/Dragon Sword/Spirit Surge ability used in FF5/FF7/FF9/FF10/FF11 respectively. That being said, since FFXI's Spirit Surge in JP is called Ryuken in the JP FFXI, I think Life Surge in FFXIV in JP might also be Ryuken (the animation even shows dragon spirits wrapping around you, not unlike Freya's 'Lancer" attack in FF9. It also drains HP from the mob, just like Lancer/Lancet.
Now something like White Draw or Reis Wind would be cool abiltiies for a lv70 level cap in the future. Reis Wind could be a weaker AoE or even a self Regen, as opposed to Second Wind which is instant. White Draw could be an oGCD with like 120 potency that confers 25% of the damage into raid-wide +MP or something lol. -

I guess, I was just thinking of creative ways for us to use our massive MP pool, even if it's just added support when solo or in 4mans or something, kinda like Freya in FF9 that had some light support abilities in addition to her damage abilities. Nothing game changing or to increase our DPS as it's already high, but I figure MNK has Mantra and Second Wind, DRG has Battle Litany but only at 52, no other real support or heals except from cross class. They could even make White Draw or Reis Wind a lancer ability so other people could cross class it.

I got the sense that from the quest which teaches you Battle Litany that it isn't as much of as a prayer/chant, as it is shouting battle orders/tactics to increase the morale of your comrades.

Tanks in this game have insanely high INT cause in 1.0 it reduced magic damage taken, now it's just kinda there.
As for DRG MP, when the heavensward benchmark trailer was released they showed DRG buffing itself right as couerlregina used a massive AoE. Now I think what he was using turned out to be blood of the dragon. But when I saw that I thought maybe DRG was getting something like spirit barrier which would make them take MP damage instead of hp damage for a short time. I thought this would be a cool use for DRG MP. -
