The current system allows teams to become unbalanced. Something needs to change!

In particular, Twin Adders have recently experienced a significantly lower win rate than the other GC's on the Chaos Datacentre.

If you look at the frontline standings for the Chaos datacentre, and view the top 100 'matches played' from the week commencing 03/08/15, you can see that the Twin adders players typically have win rates of 10% - 20%. Only 1 Adder on that list has above 33% (which should be the typical 'average win rate' in a 3 way battle). Compare this to the majority of Flames/Maelstrom, who are getting 40-45%.

And if you sort this in order of Total Victories, only 4 Twin adders players made it into the top 100....

I'm sure that similar imbalances exist on other datacentres. Surely something needs to change about the way Frontlines works?

I 'could' just switch GC's (as I'm sure a lot of other Adders have!)... but that wouldn't fix the problem as a whole. I might personally get more wins, but the teams would still be unbalanced. I find it much more enjoyable when the match is a close one; some of the best rounds I've been in, had all 3 teams at over 700 points, and it could have gone any way right until the end. But those rounds are few and far between.

And then there's the issue of queue times; when too many players flock to the Maelstrom and Flames, they have to queue for longer while waiting for the Adders to scrape 24 people together.

Unfortunately, there's no way you can simply make your whole team 'get good'! I think the only way the situation can really be fixed, is if you remove the GC restrictions to PVP; in other words, all 3 teams are assigned out of the same pool of players.

This would also have the additional benefits of reducing average queue times, and would make it easier to team up with your friends.

Throwing aside the GC lore for the sake of PVP might not be ideal, but at the end of the day, 'Fun comes first', right?

That's how the design of Seal Rock is. The terrain is uneven so some teams are already at a disadvantage as far as stragetic points is concerned (coughnorthcoguh). The other problem I see that persists at least on primal is that one of the three GCs typically has this weird fixation on whoever they target first (typically the one north/south if they are south/north respectively). This leads to the third GC (usually the caves) getting at least 2 or even 3 nodes to themselves uncontested.

Of course lately I've seen adders get pincered more and more especially when we're the cave team, although that might be confirmation bias. It's still not a fun time when you get sandwiched in though regardless of your standing in the match (which is very easy to happen as north team) though.

IF and Mael basically just target TA and kill only, thats how it is in PvP here.

I predict we'll soon see a return to the longer, more inconsistent queue times we had with previous PVP modes as more players max out their PVP ranks at the new rank 50 cap and no longer queue up for successive matches when they get a really crummy alliance. And honestly, who can blame them? When playing multiple matches in a short timeframe, you're pretty much going to be aligned with the same alliance members and opponents. It might feel sometimes like your whole alliance is terrible, but really it only takes a portion of bad players who strike out on their own to do the exact opposite of the things that help win a game. Got two A rank nodes right next to other to defend, and a healthy lead in your score? If enough players march off to where two other GC's are fighting over an objective just because they feel like doing it, and they die because they're collectively outnumbered at the node they fail at capturing and die, and meanwhile the rest of your alliance gets your objectives easily taken away because 30 people show up and only 16 of you stuck around, it's going to feel like you got the worst alliance ever when really you just got enough imbeciles on board your team to cost you the game. And guess what team those crummy players are going to be on if you immediately queue for another match? Yours, of course!

For Adders on Primal, we get a lot of the worst players during the weekends. Last Friday headed into the weekend, I was at over an 80% win rate with over 10 games at the time, and I remember thinking to myself- if I play with the weekend people my victory rate is going to get shot to hell... but I played anyway because I needed the PVP exp, and had to accept the fact that I'd have an experience that wasn't very fun as a trade off for hitting 50. Well, last night I did hit 50, and other players I know also did over the last few days, and so already I'm at the point where if I get a horrible team that's frustrating to play with (not because they don't win, but because they undo everything the rest of us do to try and win), when that match is over I'm going to find something else to do. As more and more high ranked players across GC's hit 50, any GC that's got a higher number of sucky players playing during a certain window is going to see a drop-off in the number of people queueing for that GC over the span of two-three matches,and that's how I've seen queues quickly go from 15 minutes to 45+ during peak time periods for PVP.

Even first graders understand why their PE teachers rearrange their teams, but we have a system that's like the worst case scenario when it comes having legitimate competition over the long term.

Believe me, adders' delicate situation predates the introduction of seal rock :O

The problem is adders never listen...

I switched last week from flames to adders and honestly there are very few skilled players, idiotic starts. If an S pops they go there regardless of its position, I'm regularly highest kills and highest dps with 0/¹ deaths.

They split too easy and chase all the time it's frustrating, recent game 2 flame alliances attacked our solo node. 10! Adders thought it was a great idea to chase 1 solo flame halfway across map while this was going on.

That being said there are quite a few good players there I have noticed we just need better teamwork

So far this week from 14 games I'm on 7 wins 5 seconds 2 thirds.

Last night was truly amazing however we all grouped together and destroyed flames and mael, the alliance chat was buzzing declaring we were gods XD

You notice very early in a match if your alliance/party sucks hard. Being stuck in a bad wave of matches due to DGAF/noobiness/etc is not exactly motivating you to play on. Also, a lack of healers can have the same effect.

Some times, when you have a wave of bad matches, joining party in progress can store you in a different pool of (hopefully) players who cares.

I'm actually quite surprised this week, from 28 games I'm 12/12/4 Certainly seem to be working well.

I've had a couple of really bad matches last night. Two of them had us in the north camp, and nearly all the node set spawns encouraged the other two GCs to pincer us in, whether it be at the node (our node was dead center, with 2 on the far east beach and 1 on that god forsaken uphill next to the center) or in the example of the image below.

The placements have a lot to do with how the other two GCs act too, sometimes they'll tackle you just for the heck of it, and sometimes they'll both attack you because it's the most feasible, whether it's taking over the node or sniping kills to get some points.
