Like the title says what stat should I focus all of my attribute on for my MCH? Is it STR or DEX? I hear people comment on INT, but I wasn't sure and someone playfully saying PIE (which is more of a joke than serious notion) and I was wondering if you guys and help me figure this out.
What's the recommended stat to focus MCH on?

If serious, put your points into Dexterity (Dex). It's your main stat.

If it's MNK/DRG, it will always be STR. If it's SMN/BLM, it will always be INT. If it's SCH/WHM/AST, it will always be MND. Tanks get a bit of leeway on theirs due to both STR and VIT being good, so it's down to preference for them. For everybody else, you go all in.Quote:

I was asking in-game and no one responded to my question and sometimes people mix up the attributes around like some people have PLD with both STR and VIT (I want full VIT attribute) or WAR with that setup. I just wanted to know what people recommended stat-wise for MCH if it was either STR or DEX or another stat, I was thinking it might be DEX but I wanted to have a second opinion before I attempted to invest my attributes to that first to see what would be the most useful to my class and bring it's abilities out best for me to work with my teams.

Strength specifically increases only melee attacks, while dexterity increases ranged attack and melee for rogue/ninja. There's no room for ambiguity when it comes to those descriptions. I'm not sure how you can confuse arrows or gunshots with magic damage (unless you played Elsword where punches are magic damage and lasers are physical...). Even if that was the case, dex is present on your weapon, not intellect -

The same traits are on all jobs with DPS jobs having their respective stats, DRG, MNK needing STR. BLM,SMN needing INT. And finally NIN, BRD, and MCH needing Dex. When in doubt read the traits that's what I say.

You can't really expect a question you can easily find the answer to by hovering over a stat in the character screen to be taken seriously. Confusion can happen, but there are limits. I would call it a somewhat successful troll.

Seriously, with RPGs there aren't really any rules per se about stats and their uses. One game can have a melee class just stack STR, another can require a melee class to stack some magic boosting stat in addition to STR.

The proper stat information is not force fed to you on a platter, however it is easily accessible should you have questions about what each stat does. So, while rude responses aren't necessary, I can certainly see why someone might roll their eyes at the question. The info is relatively obvious.
Your primary stat is also on every weapon for your class/job and any class/job -specific gear. That does basically point you in the direction of which stat your class primarily uses.
VIT: you're a DPS, you don't need to be investing in extra health beyond what is provided
INT: you are not a magic job, so this is not something you should invest in
PIE: the amount of MP you have is pretty irrelivent as a MCH, so again do not invest
DEX/STR: Only one or the other applies to a particular physical DPS job, so only invest in the one that has an effect. In the case of MCH, that is Dexterity.
