Aren't their six favors for each? Azys Lla for MIN and Sea of Clouds for BOT?

Azys Lla only has legendary and unspoiled nodes. The chance of getting a concealed to spawn off of those with your one shot each spawn is not worth it imho. Also the heavensnut should be from sea of clouds, not azys lla for bot.

There are but oddly enough, there are only 5 turn-in materials. One in each set is either a duplicate or a dud.

Do not buy the Azys Lla favors. They are, in fact, duds.

A word of caution: The name of the effect granted by the Trader's Favor item for the Dravanian Forelands is bugged and says it applies to the Dravanian Hinterlands. Trust the item, not the effect name - it's actually the Forelands.

Forelands -> hinterlands buff = still forelands
Hinterlands -> forelands buff = still hinterlands

I only have 650 gathering and 600 perception and GP, no problem whatsoever to farm the favors. The lack of motivation is what keeps me from doing it.

i just used a hinterland favor and started gathering hard silver ore the entire 15 minutes nothing poped up , the buff also says forelands when i use hinterlands , im doing something wrong ? :|

nope you just got unlucky. It is a bug that it says Foreland, but it still only works in Hinterlands

Where the birch log nodes are seem to work best for me. I get tons of spirit bonding done doing these favors xD.

Just did my first favor gathering to expiramint. Are the roundstones a rare item that spawn on same node as ooids? Went through 5 favors while gathering aurum regis sand and tho I got quite a few ooids (12 nq 2hq) I never did see roundstones.

The Roundstones are indeed rare items, that spawn along with the Ooids on those nodes.

I've gone entire sets (5 Favors) without seeing the rare item.

With some (admittedly limited -- 90 favors worth of records) testing ... it looks like something around a 25% chance of a node dropping common mats (around 3.5/favor) ... with around a 2.5-3% chance of the rare one (0.4/favor)

Now .. there are some assumptions going into this, on the per node side (I can get 12-15 nodes generally .. sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less), but 90 favors gives at least a bit of a basis for estimation.

where are the nodes to get the red ooid? is there a specific node to get them from? i can't find it D:

I think the addendum to OPs post should be the "best" locations per favor. I have been trying out different locations and recording my yields. When I get a larger sample I will post it here. :)

You get red ooid from the lvl 60 mining spot using red script favors in cch west

The favor materials nodes are always spawned from the 56-60 nodes.

just in case you didnt know, "Lay of the Land II" (miner) or "Arbor Call II" (botanist) will point at the lvl 60 nodes in each map.

I did all right on Bladeleaves last night. 4-4-4-3-1. Black Swan Feathers can eat me though (ironic, considering my character's name).

RNG's gonna RNG. Favors are still dumb, though. I wish the voice in my head that keeps going, "ffs, just stop, you hate this" could make a better argument.

Which spot are you doing your bladeleafs? Maybe it is bugged? I did mine at the nodes directly south of Anyx aethryte. I got 3-4-4-3-3 with two sword leafs, total 17-2. Are you pre-depleting nodes? Maybe bad weather? :p The RNG is making me more and more superstitious.

pretty sure aside from botany nodes in sea of clouds, that there's only one spot per zone that you *can* gather particular favors (gaelicatnip vs birch) ... unless you're able to use the level 55 nodes, in which case I stand corrected.

EDIT: whoops, meant sesame seed, not gaelicatnip ... I seem to confuse the icons for some reason

That might be the case with Aeyis, we don't have any data on 55 nodes to my knowledge, maybe the 55 nodes just have a much lower spawn rate or equivalent. I have been keeping track of my yields and once I get my alts to red scrip level I will try out some 55s and report back. I will make a thread later asking people to post yeilds and locations so we can consolidate data and figure the optimal routes. ;)

It's just the fickle whimsy of dice rolls, unfortunately. I got 41 Bladeleaves in two sets of Favors last week, although I'd say 14-15 is more my average.

Is there diminishing returns or is it just bad luck? I noticed that with every favor set once i use the fourth favor of the set the concealed nodes pop few and far between. Even went a whole 5 mins without a concealed node pop. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Don't even need a guide for knowing where the locations are. You have a Trader's favor (miner) for Churning Mists you simply go to Churning Mists and go to the level 60 mining node location and that's it. Each area only has one level 60 mining and bot location so no chance of screwing up as long as your at the proper 60 nodes (mining or bot) for the favor.

I feel like the guide is more for knowing which favor to purchase to get the proper material; otherwise, if you buy random favors not knowing which one provides the material you need, then you're going to end up with materials that are only useful for trading with other crafters ... or until you get the right pair.

For example: if you buy trader's coerthas favor, and matron's coerthas favor thinking you're going to get the favor materials for say purified coke, then you're wrong -- you'd have to consult a guide to realize before you buy the favors that you need the matron's churning mist favor to get the right botany pair for the purified coke.

The btn one for sea of clouds actually has two spots you can use, the birch log area and the sesame seed area. I don't know if this is the case for any others as I haven't done every type of favor yet.

Each of these areas has it's pros and cons, BTW.

The Birch Log area has lower level mobs, so it is easy to run the nodes without being delayed by a mob chasing you. However, distances between nodes are relatively long, and the multiple levels of the terrain can slow you down.

The Sesame Seed area, on the other hand, is flat and more compact. But the groundskeepers there can agro and chase you, especially the one near the western-most pair of nodes. Going in out of stealth slows things down here. However, if you have someone who is willing to "ride shotgun" with you and keep the areas around the nodes clear of mobs while you run, this area will yield more node hits over the 5 minute period.
