Yeah I'm having the same errors
I'm having the same problem. I cannot log into the game at all for the past ~15 mins. I've gotten 90002 or 10105 errors at the loading screen. Tried resetting internet connection. Tried resetting ip address. Tried logging in on different worlds. Nothing worked. Wanted to add that I have Comcast internet.
It looks to be an issue with Primal Data Center. Other Data Centers seem to be working okay ...
Asked my friend in Canada to try logging on. He plays on Ps4 and was able to log into his character on Hyperion with no problems. :(
Having the same problem. Looks to be a connectivity problem. Here's my Tracert to Sargatanas (Aether Data Center):

I'm on Midgard and been having the same issue since 4:30pm today. Even when attempting to login I getting 90k error before it connects.
Now I'm just getting the 2002 error, I'm on Leviathan
Getting the same errors in Diabolos, I was playing just fine for over 3 hours. I got disconnected and I kept logging in, but I keep losing connection to server :(
Same issue for me on Balmung, started up @ 3:50ish CST. 90k'ed a couple times in game in the span of about 10 minutes, haven't been able to log back on since due to 2002. Tried switching Data Centers to Primal several times and I got 2002'ed. Tried switching to a Japanese Data Center and was able to get to the character creation screen.
Edit: Just to update, my ISP is Comcast and I live in the Southeastern US. I ran a tracert and it completed successfully, no hangups or timeouts.
Can confirm. I'm on Primal DC, if I try to switch to Aether I get 2002. But I can switch to European and Japanese DC.
To add more information a friend of mine who lives in the Northeastern USA was able to log into the game on Hyperion with no problems. Neither of my two friends who have managed to get in have Comcast.
90002 and 2002 Error - Started about 4:50pm EST. ISP=Comcast in Georgia, US. Primal Datacenter. Hyperion Server.
I just came back to the game for Heavensward to check it out. I'm glad I started leveling Ninja up before purchasing the expansion. I almost forgot the things a I hated about FF14 when I left before but I'm quickly starting to remember. We'll see if their response time has gotten better. I'm enjoying the game a lot so I'm interested in playing Heavensward but if this is going to be a regular thing like it was in the past then I'll just play something else. Also, I noticed their support has got to be the worst support of any MMORPG available. Only open M-F for support is not acceptable for MMORPGs. On top of that the live chat queue times are 1.5 hours long during the weekdays when they are actually open. I'm really hoping I'm wrong about all of this because the game is awesome. The support and preparation for the new expansion are well.....
I have comcast in Georgia too!!! I tried doing a DNS reset with no luck. I'm on Cactuar with the same issues. Been trying to play for over 2 hours with no luck. I've managed to get into the game about 4 times, but get disconnected within 10 seconds each time. I tested internet connection/reliability... no apparent issues. Must be something not right.
I know they are working on ISP issues later tonight, wonder if this will not get fixed until tomorrow :(
I'm going to take a break and hopefully check in around 9pm EST to see if it's fixed.
I'm with Comcast in Tennessee, on Mateus Server and I can get to the character loading screen but every time I try to log in with my character I get 90002 error Connection with the server was lost.

From South Carolina, Time Warner, paired with TATA at the moment. Aside from an odd hiccup in Toronto (random spike to around 140ms), everything seems "normal" for me... all neolobby's are in the 50-70ms times as usual. That .33 IP as well as the .30 I play on for Midgard are the same. Had a few odd stutters here and there, and my modem bounced on me mid-instance yesterday, but otherwise it's been fluid gameplay all weekend.
Comtast in Tallahassee as well.
If you have access to a VPN server that can re-route you around that bad hop it will get you in game. I just got in with wtfast free version. Can't recommend it, and will shut it down once this networking issue is resolved. However it's letting me play now
It looks like I don't have a poor connection or drop off. So I really don't know what the issue is for me. I literally just can't go into any of my characters.

Update: With literally no changes to anything I have or did, I am now able to log in to my characters.

Looks like the LEVEL 3 jump from Comcast up north is having issues. Comcast doesn't seem to be the issue because I can make it through their backend pretty easily.
It is when I switch over to Level3 is when I get time outs and massive delay.

I am also now able to log in, lol. Maybe it's fixed? Hopefully. XD
It's happening again.
And it's error 2002 again. Good thing I was just crafting and not in a dungeon.
I am getting the disconnects in Alabama with Comcast. I am on Aether/Siren.
I have had no problems getting back in as long as I exit the game and restart it.
UPDATE: Now I can't get in at all.
Please SE take note of this issue :(
I'm on Hyperion in Tennessee and having the same issue. Will get d/c with 90002 and then can't get back on again. Keep getting the same 90002 error after getting the Now Loading screen.
I wonder if they started the maintenance early. http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...d5e5d07c551989
Looks like exchanges in both Nashville and Atlanta are having issues for several last mile ISP's---may still be Level3 having trouble. AT&T also seems to be having problems in Birmingham lately as well. Others appear to be getting hammered in the usual places as well: DC, PA, NY, OH, TX.
May be better served to contact your ISP about it.
I'm in Tennessee on Comcast and having major issues as well. They began for me about 30 min ago. My character will get to the loading screen after waiting in que and then disconnect.
Error 90002
I was in a dungeon when it happened. managed to get back in for a second and no one else in my FC was having any issues.
how do you guys know what ip is for primal datacenter to run the tracert?
Can pull up Resource Monitor (resmon in search/run box) or run netstat in a CMD prompt when you are at the character select screen. FFXIV should have an established connection to one of these addresses:
199.91.189.74 (neolobby02.ffxiv.com - what I use for Aether/Midgard)
199.91.189.93 (neolobby04.ffxiv.com)
199.91.189.106 (neolobby06.ffxiv.com)
Just wanted to note that SE is not doing that maintenance---that is Ormuco, the ISP. Will be interesting to see what all changes. Would be nice if they are expanding their peering arrangements again (we saw Verizon Business added as a peer after one of these earlier this year).
I can stay connected for up to about an hour or 15 min randomly kicks me off saying 90002 error
it also appears I'm still logged in and when I try to get back in the game it says "please allow a few more moments you are sill logged in"
Our ISP is Virgin Media located in the UK. We've been getting 90002 disconnect whenever entering Mist on the Hyperion server.
I called Comcast customer service and spoke to a rep who got a level 2 engineer involved to investigate. 30 minutes later I was able to login just fine. I told him I think it's an issue with one of the relays they are using when attempting to reach the data center for FFXIV. At first the guys was like well you don't have a comcast modem so there's not much I can do then I told him it wasn't my modem it was something with the hops in between here and the data center and told him I'm playing FFXIV. He goes oh really I play that game too. Let me see what I can do.... anyway I'm in now and have been ever since about 12:30am on the 20th
