Any news on new wards and plots?

So across the internet i have read that in this expansion there has been mentions of the existing Cities getting more wards.
Just wondering if anyone has an official quote or release date for these New plots as my FC and i are waiting for new plots to be released to buy one and any info would greatly be appreciated.

Don't think they've given a release date, just sometime after the expansion.

In some letter from the producer or another, Yoshida said, paraphrased, that the group responsible for maintaining housing were currently busy putting the finishing touches on the Heavensward areas and as such did not have time to work on housing at the same time. Once everything is fully up and running (personally I'm thinking once they're sure Alexander works as intended) they will start to look into more housing.

At best I'm thinking 3.1 (optimistic) or 3.2 (realistic), maybe 3.3 (pessimistic).

Additional wards were supposed to be coming "shortly after" launch, so I expect that to come maybe with Alexander, or soon after. Either way, they're coming before Ishgardian housing, which will be a while.

Hopefully us homeless agitators can get houses to fool with airships relatively soon.

Hopefully, my Free Company has been saving GIL for sometime now to be able to afford the house once they release more wards. ^_^

I have been keeping tabs on this exact concern for a while. This is the only area of the game I feel they fell short on, everything else is fine or manageable. I actually had two friends who were going to get the game change their minds when they found out about the housing and how it works.

thanks mage, i see you have been doing your research and yeah it sucks this is the only negative side to the game :l

They need a refuge camp for us poor players ....... Some where in the desert ,10 000 Gil for a small tent 20 000 for a medium and 30 000 for a large.

I think THIS should be in mogstation instead of a 3rd retainer...
