uhm no, wait 2 or 3 weeks until people can get their ilvl 190-200 stuff and the boss becomes a faceroll as everything else ingame
Yeah once you're in I170/80 its pretty easy.
...This fight isn't long at all. If you're experiencing really, really long fights, you might not be as good at dealing damage as you think you are (or your DPS partner is asleep at the wheel)
definitely not a blm friendly fight with too much movement involve. can totally break their dps rotation, hence takes longer to kill.
Seemed fine to me, cleared with a BLM and a MNK in Dungeon/quest reward gear through DF.
Maybe it's a bit tougher with two casters, I concede, but the BLM was doing great (more than me on MNK).
LB2 ASAP and if the fight's dragging you should get an LB1 later in the fight too, is all I can suggest.
nah man i love it
The only reason the battle is long is that the first boss is invincible when the fog is up and the last boss is invincible when the wind sprites are up. The bosses just have LONG invincibility phases and the tornados make it so that you can't always attack it either.
Hmm alright fair points. Thanks guys.
It's only long if your DRG falls of the edge at the beginning and you're left with your own BRD ass and a WHM and PLD to do the whole fight with...then it takes about fifteen minutes.
Otherwise it's fine.
It's less the health and more the evasion stacks. When you're missing a bunch, he seems like he takes 500 years.
the first boss feels like it has more hp then this guy. lol
if your DRG fell off at the beginning, you should have just wiped it and started over.
The problem with the fight is the frequency of add spawns while the boss becomes invincible. It makes the fight three times longer than it should be.
It's not a fun fight in the slightest.
I always feel like I'm carrying the group when I'm with melee. Drg and mnk are really depressing to party with lately. Last boss takes forever it seems like I'm soloing 3/4 of the spirits every time. A lot of times you can limit break 2x and it still be alive. I'm a blm and smn.
I always feel like I'm carrying the group as a melee, doing 300-400dps more than my ranged team mates during boss fights. I don't even know how you're seeing 2x LBs there. The fight usually ends as soon as the Limit Gauge hits 2 for me, although I tend to LB1 the first two bosses too.
@op Tbh the fight should go considerably fast with decent dps. Maybe you've got parties from the low-end spectrum of dps? Anyways, it should get better when people gear up more. Eventually it'll be (even more of a) faceroll like the rest of them.
Completely depends on the groups dynamic in general. I ran the dungeon yesterday and got paired with a drg in the mid i170's who had a good rotation and was able to hold his own in terms of dps (I myself am a nin with comparable ilvl), a tank that was aware of the double melee comp and pulled appropriately, and a new healer. It was the fastest Neverreap run I had so far, we finished after around 25 minutes. Tank didn't pull double packs, he just grabbed the packs as they come. Healer was able to help dps, even in like the minimum required ilvl. Bosses just melted. Last boss died to lb2 as soon it was ready. This was faster than any run I ever had whan paired with a blm/smn and the tank thinking 'uh aoe, I'll pull 4 packs at once', because it takes forever to take down these pulls and the healer can't help at all, he might even go OoM.
The boss constantly gains stacks of a buff that increases his evasion while he's active. It's more a problem for the tanks really since you need more accuracy to hit something from the front than from the sides or behind, but DPS can have a hard time hitting him too if their gear is on the lower end of the totem pole.
I never thought he takes long, fractum first and last boss always seem to take forever HP wise
I ran this as a somewhat new tank. All I had was helm and weapon. MNK and BLM were new. I was 147 and I think the BLM was closed to the same. After we ran it, I said "Can't wait to go back and rape that dungeon after 30 more ilvls." Just think about the difference between running WP with fresh 50's vs someone in all i90 gear. It is a huge difference.
Uh, I just did Neverreap for the first time. Final boss is Waaaaaaaaaaay easier than the boss for Fractal. Like waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay 100% easier lol. His healthbar aside. I've even 3 manned him and I was ilvl 145.
i hate this boss... SO MUCH as a monk... that evasion buff stack destroys my stacks if i miss not to mention the tornados spawning in your face and stunning you honestly that fight is a nightmare for monk or melee in general
Oooh.
I just did this myself. BRD fell off. Me, PLD tank, DRG.Quote:

Took probably 15 minutes. We got three limit breaks off.
