Here's how the Jobs will look like. They're on the cover of November Famitsu Connect

I got Final Fantasy XI vibes all the way down my spine :D

Guess they'll come around november/december, considering that if they're on the magazine, release can't be TOO far.

Question for you guys. What do you think? The semi-hidden galka in the middle is a warrior or a dragoon?

yeah, because of course they'll put the jobs right on the front cover of the most sold online gaming magazine in Japan without having them in the game reasonably near that date.

I remember when FFVersus13 was once a cover story on Famitsu...years ago it was.

Haven't seen that get released yet.

Famitsu gives news about games that can be years away. Famitsu Connect! On is half magazine and half guide, and normally has on the cover games and features that are already released or near release.

Pretty much. How easily people forget stuff in a previous Connect-On interview on FFXIV already went live or went live shortly after given that the interview was done a little while back.

Yeah they would if the magazine contained news on them but it doesn't mean jobs will be available in game then.

Ahhh, had no idea the two were considered seperate entities, I thought Connect! was just a digest or something similar.

Those Jobs are the same as SE confirmed a while ago in a Post on the Forums.

The "Galka" is a Warrior without a doubt and what most of you would describe as DRK is actually the Dragoon since he is wearing a Lance. You can see Parts of it behind the Ranger and nehind his helmet. So its showing the Jobs, SE mentioned a while ago.. The only thing im really curious about is the "harp"-looking things.

I don't think they confirmed either dragoon or warrior actually. Where do you see the lance? That thing behind his rear looks more like a spike of the armor than a weapon. It definitely isn't in any way aligned with the hands.

Also, the armor is absolutely identical to the "evil armor" they shown a few months ago: http://www.ffxivinfo.com/images/letter41.jpg

See the blades he has attached to the belt? That's IMHO what you see as a spear head.

Definitely looks like DRK.

Lol at all the controversy confusion over which class is what job. This is what happens when you try to shove jobs where they don't belong and lock them to one weapon.

No, that's what happens when someone is affected by genetic negative nancyness and tries to maliciously spin everything negatively. isn't it, Gifthorse (funny how easy it is to recognize you no matter how much you change nickname)?

There's no "shoving", as the jobs have no problems fitting to the current classes. The only cause of debate is that there are classes that have multiple jobs fitting to them.

But you are right.. they did not confirm Ranger.. its was Bard.

So they are: Paladin, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Dragon Knight, Bard.

Dragon Knight is wearing a Lance.. there are parts of the Shape and the word "Knight" probably leads to the look of the Armor.

And the Ranger actually isnt a Ranger.. Its the AF for the Bard like some ppl assumed allready. I dont know if i like that Idea.. but i will see as soon as they release it.

This can easily just mean that the galka is a dragon knight (the stuff he has looks more like an haleberd than a axe), and the top one can be a DRK.

It's the gray area coming out of the third horn starting from the right. It disappears off the image. That gray weapon goes down towards his hand and behind the archer's arm with a bat like design.

Dont want to be a prick. But even if it is a Halberd and just not a Big bad Axe with some additions, Halberds belongs to Marauders in this Game. Which would prolly be a Warrior Job under Marauder and not under Lancer, which would lead to a Lance-wearing Job like a Dragon Knight or Dragoon.

Edit: You can see that on the very first Pictures they show on the official Site. The Marauder is also wearing a Halberd.

On the Picture. It looks semi-similiar like the Lance you get from Batraal which also have a spike like that. The Spike on the Belt is also shown on the Artwork they posted Weeks ago. I would assume if they post Artwork of a DRK i would expect a Scythe which you would see on the first look. That does not look like a Scythe to me.

But like i said.. it "looks" this way to me. Maybe im wrong.. but that is the way it really looks to me.

Ahem, really don't want to be a prick as well, but you're a lancer 50, you know that Lancers in this game have lances, spears and haleberds, right? :D

I actually can see something that looks like a scythe to me. Look "inside" the bow, that may be a scythe held horizontally in perspective.

of course it can be another spike, but if it is, that guy really has loooong arms.

Lances, Spears, Forks, Harpoons and something which is called "Halberd" but its having a reaaaaally big spike on its end. In some FF Games they are mentioned as Spears and in some as Axe. I guess we have a lot of room for speculations here. But the Galka Weapon has not really a Spike on its end.. its more like a big Axe with a little "knife" between the Pattern of the Axe and the Shaft itself. :P

Its an Elvaan.. they tend to have "oversized" Arms.. which give them the kind of gay looking. XD

Ahah yeah, but that long would really go down to his ankles lol. He's an elzen, not an ape. Also, if you look at the original "evil armor", that's really identical to that one down to a T, there's no spikes on the forearms and hands, nor on any other part of the body under the hips.

Only one is behind the legs, definitely not compatible with that one.

On the other hand, look at the blade behind his ass, that you think is a spear head. Compare it with the other one that's on the other hip (the one nearest to the "camera"), the shape is exactly the same.

hopefully Bayohne or Rukkirii will come and clarify :D

Anyone see the wierd crature next to the mi'qotes face and right next to her left boob there seems to be a sneak-esque creature. I messed with the brightness on photoshop and it helps to see things a bit clearer.

dragon knight is the Japanese term of dragoon, it will be lancer.

Hmm, so SE has confirmed 6 jobs at this moment: PLD, WHM, BLM, BRD, DRG and MNK...

But there are 7 people shown on that cover of 'jobs' so what is the Galka??

There has been no job confirmed that uses an Axe... could they be announcing new jobs in this issue? Or is it just a fluke by the artist.... >.>

I don't know but it's bloody well annoying me... and if it is just a MAR (class) on a cover with all the new Jobs... this shame on SE for confusing me! LOL

LOl oh I agree, I don't see how it would be anything else... but SE has a way of sometimes annoucing things I wouldn't expect... such as the idea that it looks like Archer (my fave class) will become some kind of Bard (my most hated class). That actually has me kinda sad at them moment... I was really looking forward continuing on as my Archer and it becoming a Ranger or something, but Bard? :(

I know some are happy about it... but I don't know. I'll have to see how it plays if Bard, in fact, becomes the job for Archer... *sigh*

But anyway... things like that make me wonder, so until SE says yes MAR > WAR I'm not going to assume 100% it will or get my hopes up. LOL
