Issue When Trying to Assemble 2nd Airship.

Has anyone encountered an issue when trying to assemble their 2nd airship? We used an identical prototype and created a 2nd set of the 4 parts, but I'm not seeing the option to assemble it. We assembled the first one just fine, but the 2nd one there is no option. I have flight credits and ceruleum tanks. We're going to wait until our first airship comes back from its exploration and try again, but I'm stumped.

So we just completed the 4 parts of the Invincible type airship. Still not getting option to launch it. At this point it must be dependent on the rank of 1st airship, or there's a glitch. I may switch out the parts of our first airship with invincible parts when it comes back from the voyage tomorrow.

I see the same thing. Pure speculation: The second one is unlocked through same means? Perhaps leveling the first airship.

This would be a rather smart way to space out the violent evacuation of the many crafting materials that go into tier 1 airships.

Same for us here ... We also gather materials for 4 airship ... But as far I can see Tier 2 parts can be replace in the first air ship so i Hope when our airship will grow we'll be able to add a new one

Did anyone figure this out? We're stuck here too.

there's like zero indication anywhere of there even being more then one slot.

Quick question for those that have the parts for a second ship. Have you tried buying another flight credit? We only have the one at so we're waiting before starting on the next one ad this seems to be a global thing.

Ask about Exploratory voyages, then Exploratory voyage deployment. I'll just quote him though;

No indication how exactly this will work, but basically all you can do is send them off and hope for the best. If it's tied to rank, good. If it's a random chance your airship can bring back the means to register additional ones... Eh...

Hey guys ^^.

So I along with about 3 other officers along with many member have been working on the parts and sending out airships trying to uncover all this info.

What I can share for now is we have located what islands give the balsa scraps, vivianite, red moko grass and the bamboo weaves.

Our first airship, Fabulair, was made around 9:00am central time (approx 5 hours after server openings) and I have been sending it out consistently. As of right now we are rank 7 with 2 of the invincible parts attached. Reaching the island unlocked by rank 7 and it should be back later today at noon (central). As of right now we have yet to find any ways to have a second airship.

We should be unlocking rank 3 parts when it returns if we get the amount of balsa scraps we need.

ah man. I asked the mammet under "registering new ships" which is where the information SHOULD of been placed as well, didn't bother to look at "exploratory voyages" bleh. =P

Thank you!! I've been trying to figure this out all day.

My airship is now rank 7 and I already switched out two components from Prototype II (crafted all but limited at 18/18 component points right now. Rank one is 3 per piece and rank 5 pieces are 6 each)and unlocked Prototype III and couldn't figure out why I couldn't make another airship. Prototype III starts at airship rank 15.

Also something to note, when you add components for the rank 5+ you get back your rank 1 stuff. So you would technically be able to use those bound pieces on another airship.

Stuck too.

Currently our first airship (Tea Kettle) is Rank 11 with 3rd Airship tier unlocked. Nothing yet! We havent discovered any decent islands lately (up to #4), Perhaps finding 5th island will trigger it ? I will update later on once that is achieved.

What rank (and course) did you unlock the 5th island at ?

Rank 10 airship sector 5 unlocked, but its not showing another sector after this, so I think its save to assume its not long until we unlock a new area. currently they're all in the Sea of Clouds, so we'll see what happens within a week I guess. If anyone gets there before hand though, please let us know.

Thats very interesting. I am rank 12 and no 5th island. So discovery is definitely not based on rank.

Anyone gotten sector 06 yet?

Got sector 6 this morning, airship is currently out on exploration there. Rank 11. Still no option to register second airship (have the invincible-I fully built and ready to fly).

We are currently level 13, and able to send to 3 different areas on one voyage. No news of 2nd Airship yet. We even have all the 2nd airship prototype parts in it. I'm beginning to wonder if it is level 20 or max level of one ship before unlocking a second one...

Level 12 here, able to send it on 3 different areas like Megha, just unlocked sector 06 but can't go to it yet. The mammot in front says that as long we can keep on sending them it'll happen. Considering that the island gains seem to be tied behind some kind of RNG. I suppose it's just dumb luck.

RNG is right. I am rank 14 and only 4 islands. I sort of want to cry ;o;

Have you upgraded your old parts at all? Might be tied to speed, we upgrade to propellers early. Rank 12 btw, 6 islands, only 1 ship.

Upgraded all parts as early as possible. Its pretty strange. We mainly been spamming Island 3/4 until recently realizing we are behind on island number. So we been trying to try different combinations without any luck so far.

rank 12, 6 islands still no luck on unlocking 2nd ship

here is rank 12 or 13 when is coming in 4h. At rank 11 we can't upgrade all the 4 parts to Invincible one so we choose the 3 best part to upgrade to bronco at Invincible ^^

If we need to wait the rank 50 to have a second one, it's take a very long timmme ^^

No luck finding 07 yet, any thoughts which island it might be off?

Anyone found the wheel prototype parts?

Yes Rank 18, and our last shipment brought in enough crystals for wheel prototype 1,2,3. Which are just the items to put in the level 2 wheel for level 2 buffs. Still no 2nd airship yet. I wanna say up to 8 or more islands though, continuing on. Hoping to hit rank 20 soon in a day or so.

Island RNG @.@ Its driving me insane. Rank 15 yet only up to island #4.

Have you been switching out ship parts? Everytime we were able to swap out a ship part we have. We are currently 3/4 Prototype 2 with 1 Prototype 3 part. This may have something to do with it someone said. One of the items increases surveillance and range? So possibly these stats help find new islands?

We have upgraded surveillance too. That may be it.

We always had most up to date parts possible for our level. Could possible drop down to tier1 on part that has negative Surveillance stat but it seems like other people found island fine without doing so. Think with full full tier2 set we has a straight 80 on all stats.

EDIT: We are going to downgrade our Aftcastle to tier1 and upgrade Forecastle to tier3 and see if this has any impact on island finding. I will update on any findings.

My ship is rank 12, 3/4 invincible, and yet only 3 sectors. My question is when you send your ship out, do you only send it to 1 island at a time, or mix and match?

We hit rank 20 today and unlocked a level 30 island. It is grayed out and cannot go there. We do 2 areas at a time. Still no 2nd airship. Just got the items to grow and make a Moogle Topiary. Very sad...

Have anyone found Red Clay so far?
