I have been recently re-watching some of the pre-release FFXIV trailers including this one: Pre-Release Trailer. Every time i watch the Opening Cinematic i think, 'I wish they would make a feature length movie again!' and also does anyone have the answers to the six questions below?
Question One: Has this area been discovered in The Black Shroud?

It's built like Tam-Tara Deepcroft but seems to be an outdoor area, like a ruined temple.
Question Two: Has this area in Thanalan been located yet?

I have spent a lot of time in Thanalan but never come across this exact location.
I have seen narrow walkways on cliffsides but never with one side open to the landscape.
Question Three: Battleships

Seeing these two different kinds of ships makes me think 'What is about to happen?' and "Who are they?!'
Is this scene part of any cut scenes in the game already?
Question Four: Living & working NPCs

This part of the trailer really sells the game as a vibrant and active world but unfortunately the NPCs do go about their daily business in this way.
I would really like to see some activity like this in the future.
Question Five: Daytime Leviathin

I haven't seen all of the cut-scenes in the game but has anyone seen Leviathin appear during the daytime. I know Titan is in the trailer too. I just wonder why they so upset and need to be battled! We should see Ifrit in 1.19 and two more in 1.20. (If i have read the recent letter correctly).
Question Six: Is this Mor Dhona or a zone nearby?

These screen shots show a lush area filled with waterfalls and trees.
I would like to think that it is a new zone around here on the World Map.
Is there any in-game lore that explains why the trees and vegetation is so sparse and dead looking within Mor Dhona?
I would really like to visit this zone. I know its a CG trailer but it looks so cool!

One: I'm unfamiliar with that area, but I've only explored a few areas of the Shroud that aren't on the main path. It's such a waste to explore without content in those places, but after Airships come out and there's a little more anima to go around, I might consider trekking out a bit more often.
Two: Looks like a generic cliff, could be anywhere. Bluefog or Broken Water would be my first guess.
Three: This ship formation is from an early Main Story scenario quest if you're from Limsa. Check youtube if you're okay with spoilers.
Four: A lot of NPCs have their own little animations, but none of them walk around. It would make it more dynamic, to be sure. Though, finding them would be a pain in the ass at times.
Five: Daytime levi might also be from that battleship Limsa CS, I don't remember. Something bad happened when the Sahagin and Limsan ships opened fire on eachother... I forget what. Was it levi showing up again?
Six: Yeah, it's Mor Dhona, but a while ago. I think the guy in the CS is seeing an echo flash of how it was destroyed. I did an analysis of that video a few days ago that might answer some questions.

I was just thinking that, myself, while writing my other analysis; That we didn't see Tavnazia for a while either, so maybe that AG would pop up eventually. Personally, I want an AG like the one from the tech demo.

Agreed, but the way I see it, the battleships fly OVER the party fighting the marbol at Silvertear Lake, past the aforeshown Silvertear Falls, and then fly south to Mor Dhona - Notice the crystals coming out of the ground? Those are still there in Mor Dhona now - just the trees are gone after the dragon (presumably wyrmking bahamut) blew up in the airship crash and sent all the other primals flying. I think the character is seeing Mor Dhona's destruction via the Echo.

Yes, It's an Area on the North-western part of the Shroud, a place called the Galmorre Ruins. It is close to the [Lasthold Node]

I am not certain about this place as there are a few similar places.

It is included in Lima Lominsa's Storyline Cutscene.

Yeah, this would be a really good and attractive addition. This can be found in LL's Opening cutscene.

This is most likely Mor Dhona 15 Years ago, before the Airship crash and the arrival of the Empire, fouling the Area. If It isn't Mor Dhona, then It is somewhere else SE haven't showed us :P -

They knew MMOs are cash cows from prior experience and wanted the quick way to that cash flow. I'm sure that Tanaka and others in charge of the project did not want to release with the state the game was in. That's part of why I don't entirely fault him here.Quote:

I find it pretty shortsighted to call anything a [X]Clone. In the world of MMOs, we're all playing Dungeons & Dragons, but we're all playing with radically different DMs who are varying levels of competent in what their friend group finds "Fun."
If WoW has good things to offer the future of MMOs, those traits should live on -- hopefully the WoW we take in will replace the aspects of FFXI that made it a rather masochistic addiction at times.
I doubt we'll ever move too too far out of the sandbox though. When I see a Skill Tree, I'll give you your silver for a wise prediction. -

I don't see what you're getting at by saying that we're becoming WoW, though - what of WoW are we gaining that is specifically WoW and not part of anything else?
Based on your negative attitude towards Yoshi-P as a symbol as opposed to a team leader, I'm guessing you're using WoW as the example because it's the dominant persuasion?
