Not sure if anyone else touched upon this subject but I'd be curious what is being planned for The Coil and CT raid series now that the cap will hit 60.

I don't think anything will happen to them as the 170+ gear on top of the echo is already going to be overkill. What I would like is for them to implement the token system that will be in the Alexander Raids to the previous raids as I have been trying Second Coil of Bahamut Turn 4 every chance I get (lost count after 30) since I cleared it in 2.4 and I still don't have the tank chest. I can't comment except generally as a new player that probably won't have time to do Coil and the stuff in there before HW. I prefer when devs obsolete old content and leave it as something you can go back to do for fun or for gear templates. I'd rather the game moved forward so players at 60 can focus on level 60 content without having to feel like they have to go back and do the content that they've run 87,272,362,372 times when they were level 50 to feel like they're progressing their character at 60.

Will anyone still care about Coil after that? Probably not. For the players who farm coil, they'll have better things to farm. For those who don't really run coil, there will be even less of an incentive to do so.

Since content in HW is rather high ilv, you will probably need to get ilv 120 at least, before starting on HW stuff.
So if they do boost echo that much, you can gear up in coil, to get into HW. -

I just hope I will get the opportunity to get into T9 and T5 again a few times. I am bored of FCOB but I have done the first 2 coils so long ago that it would be nice to repeat them. :) It will depend mostly on new players, if they will be willing to try it.
