Will Au Rah get a new starting cutscene or will they start out like in 2.0?

I am curious for those who will, like me, create a new Au Ra character, then once we choose what ever class they will be, and the cutscene starts, will it be the same as in 2.0?
The reason for my question is the Au Ra have migrated here just recently. Their story is totally different then the WoL who came from "other places" to become adventurers. Of course we won't know until Heavenward is out. I just wonder if anyone has thought about this as well.

I mean, the Au Ra are the one playable race so far who are not native to Eorzea by the time the game starts, so them coming into the region on a carriage from a far-off land makes more sense than most any other PC race. Even if that weren't the case, they're probably not going to make a new cutscene for players depending on their race... makes little sense.

I think all playable races just fall under "we came from somewhere else", so it works either way. They don't need their own cutscenes.

The answer: no one here knows 100% but the devs. Wait until the 19th/23rd and make an Au Ra to find out. That's what I'm going to do.

I can't be sure as I am not a dev yet, but would love to help out Koji with all the stuff he does, but I'd there won't be a new starting cutscene. MMOs need a generous ammount of willing suspension of disbelief. Like in wow where you play as a draenei monk in the starting zone, level up in the zones that show the effect of the cataclysm two expansions later, go back to the first expansion for leveling, advance for the second expansion for more leveling, get back to the cataclysm era for even more leveling and finally discover that monks exist during the mists of pandaria storyline.

If you start from scratch you were always an Au Ra and Yugiri didn't acknowledge you ( well to be fair we don't know if Yugiri will have changed dialogues or not. Judging from SEs track record I'd say she will acknowledge meating a fellow Au Ra).

It has not being said that we will have 2 new lvl50 starting areas? I heared wrong

It was stated that there will be two parallel zones for 50+ leveling to help congestion. Level 1-50 will not have changed, other then an increase in rewards from the MSQ's.

I said starting area, on where you start playing your character for the first time, doesnt matter what lvl he has, but oks it was a misundertood.

It's doubtful since you need to finish the MSQ to get access to the new areas

You still havent undertood what I said but ok. I was not refering to the expansion, again I may be confused. But you know what is a starting area?

This is true but didn't we all come from some far away land. I pretty much figured it will be the same cutscene, but we will certainly know, at least those who make a new character.

Well, I don't think that any of the five races only live in Eorzia, so anyone could come from a far away land, as far as I know. Au Ra presumably are just the first race that aren't in Eoriza in large numbers already.

It's true that every PC comes from a "far-off land," but my point was the Au Ra aren't native to Eorzea by the time of 2.x (when the story canonically starts). Considering that, the intro cutscene actually makes more sense for them than any of the currently playable races; it's conceivable any other PC is from somewhere in Eorzea, but not an Au Ra.

A couple lines of dialogue is all I'd expect.

I have to admit it would be kind of nice to have specific cuts for every race like they did in WoW, but since the city is the only variation I don't see that happening. Unless they add a new city. Which...the probably could/would eventually. Ishgard maybe once we deal with the dragonsong war? Or perhaps Doma itself in some nebulous future expansion...

What they mean, I think, is like how Wrath of the Lich King had Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord to start in at 70.
