A message to players
Let me know if I missed anything or if you want me to add anything for the next update.
Hoping this will help the Dev team see the massive amount of things they still need to fix a year later. I will cross them off as they are added and add new ones as they are suggested. If they Dev team needs more details about any of these please contact me. It's been a year hire more people or let us do the fixing for you. At this rate it's going to take you 5 years to fix this game. 150+ THINGS they need to add or fix. Lots of them are small annoyances they can fix easy to make the game more fun and attract more players. If it weren't for hundreds of things that are annoying more people would play this. I promise. This list has been composed over the last year with much help and it will continue to change and evolve with the game. Devs pay attention to this topic. Get more of this stuff on your TOP PRIORITY list and add to you time table and tell us when it will be fixed or added. If another year goes by and there are still 100+ things to fix you will have a very angry community. Get more people on the job.
First Up
Features they said they would add but there is no time table for them. + Suggestions for things they need to consider. Things they need to add to the time table now they said we will get them
1.) Linkshell Overhaul
a.) Need to be able to remove linkshell members offline/not nearby
b.) LMES
c.) Calander for events - Complete with Sign ups for events
d.) Stop making it so you need to be near LS leader to get promote
e.) Automatically remove non existing characters from Linkshells
f.) Allow us to see the last time someone logged in
g.) Allow us to see linkshell member locations from the display members window
h.) Add a sound for when someone invites to LS
i.) Options to sort LS Members list by Online, highest level ect
j.) Add ability to choose linkshell color like in XI with the 3 scroll bars
k.) Ablity to make custom Link Shell icon
2.) Party Search Overhaul
1.) Seek Party Flag + /sea all command PLEASE!
3.) Mail system
Key Features:
1.) 1 Hour delivery time? Able to send Items, gil and Messages.
a.) Player Lockers / Mail Box pick up.
b.) For instant mail and an extra gil fee a mail man or choco NPC will deliver instantly to player when they log on or wherever they are.
4.) Give casters a proper way to cancel spells
5.) Drag and drop features for skills in action menu and for NPC shops
6.) Jump
7.) Swimming
8.) AH or better Searching features and organization of markets
9.) More Zones and zone variety - Snow... Tornados? It's Been a year...
10.) Bring back mog houses or do something with this "company house" Player and Linkshell Housing
11.) Social list Overhaul
a.) Allow us to see friend locations from our social friends lists
b.) Allow us to accept/decline people when people add us to friendslist
c.) Allow us to see last time someone was on.
d.) Allow us to remove friends
e.) Friend notes - IE Owe such and such - Detailed Info, Classes and Jobs if they are your friend
12.) Group / Party Changes
a.) Stop making it so you must be near party leader to claim a mob
b.) Stop making it so you must be near party leader to get party lead or promote
c.) Allow us to use crystal if the PT members are out of range and fighting
d.) Show member location if in different zone
f.) Allow invite-to-party and disband while in combat
h.) Add a sound for when someone invites to party
i.) Need a global loot area when doing bosses/NMs so everyone sees everything
j.) Allow us to use Signs with non guildleve monsters
13.) Market Wards Overhaul
1.)Ability to navigate to your retainer when in ward (Like Gates at end of Guildleve)
2.) Able to search and sort the list in a logical manner

10.) Provide search functions like XI "/sea all 75 SAM" <> "/sea all 50 CON"

5.) Voice out as much Dialog as possible

Annoying Things – URGENT FIX
1.) Display return option as soon as you die
2.) Don't let me craft if inventory full
3.) Either don't botch synth if 100% or don't allow us to get 100% and 0 durability
4.) Stop taking away character movement actions while menus are open
5.) Bring back arrow keys for camera (some like it)
6.) Add borderless Window to config
7.) Allow us to quickly extend chat-box to largest size (Like XI)
8.) Add option to turn of weather effects
9.) Add distance view in config, some of us have powerful machine that can view far
10.) Add option to reduce amount of people who are displayed in front of you
11.)Don't "Stop" character movement when putting weapon away This is still jittery not smooth at all and spell casting is wonky as well
12.) Make client-side interactions with the environment (eg. moving through bushes)
13.) Allow Alt and Ctrl sets to work independently (i.e. Alt set 3 + Ctrl set 5)
14. )The option to turn off/on the descriptions of the skills on the action bar.
Annoying Things – Medium Priority
Don't allow people sit on you when you’re sitting down somewhere
More voices on cutscenes, there’s hardly any at the moment
Add option to remove transparency from chatbox
Annoying Things – Low Priority
1.) Let us get onto the ferry when it arrives
2.) Ability to view retainer progress and items without talking to it
3.) Allow us to go in first person when crafting for a better experience
4.) Display HP/MP at all times: not "???" when out of Minimap range
5.) Implement a camera compass |...S....^...SE.......|, or like XI
6.) Add more interface designs like in XI (window styles, etc)
7.) Display Anima without showing it prior to usage
8.) Display leve reset time remaining at counter
9.) Allow a "Follow" camera since it’s in but gets removed when you move the camera
10.) Display city name in location in addition to market wards on character selection

a.) Allow us to include required repair item with seeking repairs in bazaar (not just as a reward)
b.) Allow us to repair equipped armor
c.)Allow the Repair NPC to repair Jewelry or Remove durability from JewelryComing Yay!
d.) Add Repair NPC's at camps.
e.)Reduce armor degeneration or make repair prices relate to the percentage
Food
a.) Allow to use food and equip straight from inventory
b.) Show what food does right in its tool tip.
Inventory
Display a message if inventory full – Optional - triggers a sound
Don't take up inventory space for items I have equipped
Items
1.) Sneak and invisibility Items
2.) Don't go to the top of the list when item has been selected in synthesis (Right now every-time I add an item to synth it resets to the top instead of remember where in the list i am the next item is almost always right under it or closer to that item as gear is sorted to the top)
Trading
a.) Add 4 more slots to trade, 4 slots is not enough
b.) Add a sound for when someone starts a trade
Filters
Allow me to filter NPC dialogue, there’s no need to show dialogue in 2 locations
Provide an option to remove action info from dialogue box on action bar
Map
a.) Allow us to add markers of our choice to the map - infinite amount
b.) Allow us to zoom in and out of the map Mouse Wheel
Selling Items
1.) Adjust sell window to be more like traditional FF with only 1 confirmation
2.) Provide a way to add more units to a bazaar lot without removing it
3.) Add a shop NPC at all the camps to sell all the junk we find
4.) Change tax or remove it from when out of towns
Crafting
a.) Retainer bell inside of crafting areas(guilds)
b.) Different mini-game for each crafting profession
c.) Display a icon to show buff when crafting
d.) Recipe Book
e.) Different mini-game for each crafting profession
Changing Classes
1.) Don't remove actions when changing to lower level class
2.) Don't bring up action bar when i'm not in active mode ("Light Stab" an npc?)
3.) Don't put my weapon away when I "examine" something (eg; chests)
4.) Allow us to move skills on the action bars (as some cannot be unequiped)
Combat
1.) Allow me to still fight while in battle regimen mode
2.) Remember our "Area of Effect" on/off option upon restart
3.) Add a minimum base skill gain when killing high level monsters
4.) Bring back Sneak/Invis, for battle classess
5.) Auto disengage upon killing enemy/or group
6.) Allow me to keep them tabs as focus, rather than just "General"
7.) Allow refill to work if quiver empty or allow macro to work without disengaging

1.) Allow us to view all the in-game achievements we've earned in game

Also~ don't forget to add this to ur list ... we want chat log to contain tabs for each mode "say,tell,linkshell,shout,etc" from the start & i can change between them easily . -

To me, some of your points are rather...pointless. Wanting particular skills "back" in the game does not mean that those skills have not been planned for other classes already. Not every mage class needs to cast sneak/invis. A mini map that shows mob level and agro potential without ever having to see the mob is ridiculous too. It may make your life simple, but in no way shape, form, or fashion should someone be wasting their time on it instead of fixing many of the other things you pointed out.
Letting us get on the ferry when it arrives is something that may work for you, but I prefer being able to approach the dock and then go get a drink. as opposed to having to sit and wait for the ferry or going and getting the drink and potentially missing said ferry.
Not taking up inventory space for your gear is rather insubstantial also. Think about it--you are carrying around what? 100 items already? If they made gear that did not affect inventory, the same people would still complain about space.
Amd finally, in whatever category you choose, PvP should NEVER take precedence over PvE content-not in FF. While Porsches are very nice cars, not every car has to be a Porsche and not everyone thinks the Porsche is best. If a Porsche is what suits you, drive a Porsche but please don't come around my Lamborghini and try to turn it into a Porsche. Same goes for WoW. If you want PvP over PvE content, then go play WoW. Those of us that prefer PVE would like to have at least one game not ruined by the constant "balancing" of classes that PvP whiners bring with them. -

1. Please fix the jittery camera "Explanation below"

3. If you DC in a raid, you don't get booted when you come back
4. Quartermaster option to party drops
5. Add Auto disengage and Auto ready to config options "Explanation below"
6. Fix how I get stopped dead in my tracks by a little rocks constantly but I can run str8 up a sheer seven foot tall ledge.
7. Have it so autorun is not cancelled by changing gear "it's really annoying and is something you constantly have to deal with"
8. Let us place where our primary attack goes "Like light strike" instead of auto placing it, or at least have it in the list of abilities for that class, so we can move it easily.
9. Is asking for a smart ability placement system to much to ask?
A drag and drop system? Preset profiles that can be saved using a drag and drop system?
10. Make it so we can add more lines in macros plz, 10 isn't enough.
If I had to say, I'd like them to have enough spaces to map entire gear sets, with accessories and map all 3 ability bars. Only then can you effectively change from one class to another "With the simple click of a button" as it was said this game was intended to do.
11. Please make it so when a mob is claimed, that it's name turns red to people who have "display names" turned off.
Jittery camera
If you ever try to play this game in first person you'll see how bad the jittery camera really is.
It will make your physically ill. The camera jumps up n down so rapidly and so often, when your moving on any kind of incline/decline, that it makes being in first person totally unplayable.
It also makes your character spaz out in what is clearly just bad programming if your in 3rd person. It's not what you expect from a top notch game maker like SE.
Autodisengage/Ready
Autodisengage could bite u in the butt.
I want to keep my sword up and my action bar up even after killing a mob or group of them until I choose to put my weapon down.
More often than not your going to drop your action bar in raids, just to have to bring it back up.
That delay when your getting attacked by multiple enemies will eventually get you killed.
Example: I have 200/2000 Hp left. I kill one of 4 mobs, my weapon drops and my action bar drops just as I go to cure myself.. I loose the time I spent navigating to that cure and now I have to reopen my action bar.. yay, now I'm dead. The action bar and my weapon should stay up until I decide to close it.
It has gotten me killed or so close to killed, so many times..
Maybe make that optional in config "autodisengage or "autoready", something along those lines. -

i hate i got to close my journal map, before i can close my journal mission page, after which i can close my journal mission select page, then after all that i can close my menu.

Wagrum, you can disagree but you are wrong. While it is true that there is some very mediocre storyline and there are raids for PvE'ers, the experience for those PvE'ers is tainted, if not downright destroyed, by the constant "balancing" of the game for PvP'ers. The majority of fixes in patches were due to " X class is too OP...nerf them" or trade/city chat filled with constant whining of those same PvP'ers. Anyone with any level of intellect knew that when their whining started about PvP, it was only a matter of weeks before a new patch came out nerfing them. That patch would "give someone else an unfair advantage" and they would nerf again. If you fail to see that as a constant strain on the PvE experience, then you were playing a much different game than I.
I did not say there was no PvE or that there is a ton of PvP...like many people, you are focused on quantity. not quality. You are saying that to you, there are two bushels of apples. I am saying that one bushel is shined and polished, the other is wormy, bruised, and rotten. -

IM also a FFXI & wow fan. (even though FFXI outweigh's WoW on many points, imo)
WoW had alot of features both FFXI & FFXIV could have had that
would improve the overall gameplay value, many of the so called "WoW Features"
arnt even exclusive to WoW at all so i think it would be more than natural to
use any feature that improves gameplay.
