What new emotes would you like to see added in the future?

I'd like to see:

/lay (Character lays down, similar to laying on the beds)
/playdead (character collapses, similar to dying)
/facepalm (you know you want it)
/scared (we have the facial emote, but no body emote)
And an emote that let's us like, sit close to a bench but not on it lol

I want to be able to pull out my book on my SCH/SMN while I'm sitting down on a chair or bench! :D

/lay or /sleep Yes please! I had a thread asking for just such a thing. Specifically for Miqote and possibly Au Ra (thx to the tails) where we actually lay down on a bed and not on our stomachs.

The already in game musical items, make a music stand that emotes you to sing. /sing wouldn't be good as a general emote for RP, how many RP characters can't sing?

You also could macro some short poems if you want to RP singing too :p.

I didn't ask for /sing for Role playing purposes :D
I just want to hear my character sing! Having this be a crafted item seems kind of .... odd. My character has a voice already, theoretically she should be able to hum or sing a song whenever and wherever I like. I don't need to craft a voice box for her XD

That being said, if there was in game musical items that actually played a chunk of the score from Answers or Dragonsong that'd be cool too.. but I'd prefer my character could hum it :3

There's a couple NPC poses that I want. I don't know about other races, but for Lalas there is one where they have their hands on their sides, kinda like the couple Lala NPCs in the gold saucer. It's also the emote that you get when you rank up in GC, and I think it's adorable. Like in a "I'm trying to be serious, but I'm still a fat potato" kinda way. There is another where they stand and fan themselves with their hand, like in some Thanalan areas.

I also like emote expressions to linger a bit. So when you do something like /happy, you don't suddenly go super serious after the emote ends. The smile should linger a bit.

Honestly, I would like an explanation as to why we vaunted Warriors of Light are incapable of performing the trademark final fantasy brand of training squats, AKA the /zack, when so many npcs around us have taken to it with ease. This oversight needs to be remedied ASAP I say.

It would be the perfect persistent emote for those who don't fancy dancing, but want to keep in shape all the same.

All the ones in OP and some new custom sitting ones like /armover Put your arm over someone while sitting or alternatively just stretch your arms out over the back of a bench
And for giggles custom job specific ones like how DRG's do Kain from Final Fantasy IV's pose. Be awesome if PAL's did a Squall/Cloud victory emote.

What i would like to see is a interactive emote (kinda like hug, slap etc) that actually make BOTH players act out on said emote instead of you flapping your arms thru their stomach.

I'd like to see a few more facial expressions and for you to be able to set one as a default so you don't need to be a stone faced "default" everywhere. Sort of how you can have a default /cpose selected. We need more alternate poses as well!

An emote to adjust your glasses would be nice. Briardien style! It'd look a little off to do if you weren't wearing any though.
I'd like a Shantotto-style laugh.
That alternate /shocked style emote you do sometimes in cutscenes. Mines so cute, I wanna be manually shocked at things!

And just regarding us Miqo'te, we need more cat-like motions in our emotes. It's nice to have the tail and ears do things, but overall it still feels very hyurlike.

I'm hoping for an option to cycle through different running animation. I have a Hyur Midlander female desperate that needs the Miqo'te run. I'd also like more sitting option like the npcs throughout the game and if you pull up the menu, the character brings out a journal.

Possibly a /yourewelcome, instead of just /welcome which is a greeting.

/tip for adjusting glasses, or a jaunty hat tip/salute.

Love a lot of these suggestions! I added my own request for /talk (like NPCs do, no sound) in another thread.

/glasses - adjust your glasses.
/cleanglasses - take your glaases off and wipe them clean.
/hat - tip your hat.
/hatsalute - take your hat off to salute.
/goggles - move googles to and from forehead, like visor.
/stretchgoggle - strech out your goggles before snapping them back.

Malmaja bathing ritual dance.

The really paladin weapon emote that's on the concept art.

Nashamu bombs exploding in our face.

Job emotes. Ex: Bards can play on their /harps, and Black Mages get a cool /pose with a dark aura surrounding them. Stuff like that.

/twitch - Mi'qote tail/Au ra tail twitch. Bonus points if the Mi'qote is temporarily distracted by the allure of their tail.

There are many instances where the WoL is tasked with something tough like fighting a primal in the MSQ, and they instead of simply nodding, clasp their hands together, with one as a fist hitting into the other one's palm.

The only one that barely relates to this is the /fume on male Miqo'te, but is nowhere near to what I want >:|

Technically there already is a "/sleep" emote, but it's only available if you put a bed in your FC home and stand on or near it and type /doze.

Aside from that, I'd also like to see a /lay emote, to lie down just anywhere. Inappropriate screenshots be damned -- I saw a gif of a Nanamo lookalike spanking a Miqo'te who just so happened to be sticking her butt in the lookalike's face.

Okay, it wasn't a screenshot, but you get it.

By /sleep or /lay I meant the same thing but an actual sleep emote. Many character do look like they sleep (lala for example) but some like Miqote dont. They kinda just lay on their stomach w/ their feet in the air. I for one dont know anyone who actually sleeps like this. So they could either implement /sleep or /lay or add some change poses to /doze when on a bed.
