So new Job details for this year E3

TY SE for the 3 but we still want more, I mean since it coming out in like a week after E3. What the next job they are working towards: Samurai, Red Mage, or ???. It be a great surprise if they did drop something big on the main stage. Or hide it in the live letter.

My guess would be 10%, whats your chance we get new job info.

For more new jobs I'd say somewhere around...oh... 0%? Realistically I'm looking forward to Red Mage in 4.0. It may be possible to see a new job near the end of the 3.X series like they did with ninja in 2.4. As for E3, I'd just like to see more of the three new jobs already announced.

im fairly certain the next one to be added will be samurai after him its fair game for everyone although when that will be i couldnt say

0% chance of talking about NEW new jobs since we haven't even gotten to Heavensward yet. At best I'd say about 3/4ths of the way through Heavensward when they start talking about 4.0, and it'll probably be Samurai for sure.

Why would they announce something that probably won't be out for a year when they haven't even released the new expansion yet?

For one split second I thought "Yay Dancer !".

More realistically, I doubt we'll see new jobs before very late in the Xpack, or when the next Xpack is released, like you guys said. I doubt Samurai will be added since I saw Dark Knights use swords similar to those Samurai use. And Red Mage... as much as I'd love to play one, there's still the problem of what role it will fit. We already have two support DPS with Bard and Machinist, and if it were to be pure DPS, I fear it would lack uniqueness. Fighting like a PLD, casting like a BLM... hmm...

Seeing how close it is too launch... We already know there will be patch notes reading there so with that we will get tonnes of details including the abilities we weren't told about yesterday. I imagine we'll also get a launch trailer.

I actually doubt they'll do a patch note reading. The 3.0 notes are going to read like a novel o_o

It'll be nice to have another job at the tail end like that.
As for E3, I'm not sure if they will have much info to display...maybe storyline?

They already confirmed they will be doing a reading.

Red Mage (RDM) should come out in 3.3, like Ninja did in 2.4, IMHO.

RDM also must come out before Samurai (SAM) as since post-release, we will have received:

1 melee dps, 1 ranged dps, 1 healer, 1 tank.

I am sure there will be alot revealed at E3 2015 that we didn't know about. New Jobs? As much as I would like for more to be revealed ( SAM! :() It's too close to release for them to reveal something like that. ( Now If they do, color me surprised!)

For E3, they'll probably spend a bunch of time reshowing a compiled version of everything that they have shown so far. Maybe a new all jobs limit break video if we're lucky. Maybe a Q&A.

Wouldn't expect a new job for a long time since they said it takes them an entire year to design one job from a concept.

I really want blue mage.

Not the melee interpretation that was in FFXI.

I want a mage that casts enemy spells.

To be fair, Rogue/Ninja were apparently planned to come with release, but there wasn't enough time to fully complete it. Being that it already had work done on it, it probably was easy enough to both finish it and have it be more prepared for 3.0 at the same time.

"Easy" is relative. It was mentioned that the stress of working on 3 jobs at the same time was immense for the dev team.
We probably won't see 3 jobs released simultaneously again.

If they do it will be with Aimi (Yoshida's interpretor) there...which means the reading will be twice as long as not only does she have to translate everything he says, she obviously doesn't play the game (or at least, she's on the "casual" side, which makes sense) so she flubs up some gameplay terms at times. Watching the live letter and hearing the fluttering of pages as she struggled to translate Yoshida's terminology made me feel bad for her :(

Or she just doesn't play much on the EN client. I mean, I could translate stuff into Korean, but even if they release an eventual Korean client I'd have little clue as to what the abilities would be called. But, yeah, she seemed to be doing fairly well overall. I think a lot of people (not saying you do, but I've seen complaints around) underestimate just how hard it can be to interpret things live. Especially with how much difference there is between Japanese sentence structure and English. I know I wouldn't want to do 3 straight hours of broadcasted interpretation. . .

i'd want red mage more than samurai, we have TONS of disciples of war already (and while red mage is kind both magic and war it'd be refreshing to see)
but yeah totally not expecting any new job announcements at the upcoming E3

Oh I'd love Red Mage too, even if it for some reason sucks it probably be my main for this character. But Samurai is one they've talked about before and came close to a reality already.

They've already talked about red mage as well. It was one of the classes Yoshi P listed as the ones he really wanted to put in. At the time he listed Ninja as being his biggest priority cause he felt the game needed a stealth class (lol ninja? stealth? lol). Then he said he felt obligated to put in a gun class since there was already a guild in the game for it. After he mentioned he wanted classes like RDM, a class that uses a greatsword (Dark Knight) and Samurai. Pretty sure that's all he's mentioned thus far. So astrologian is kinda a bonus as of now ( prolly came about from them trying to add one of each role at the same time. To avoid the ninja release problems)

As of now, that means the only ones left from his original list is RDM and Sam. Reason they didn't put samurai in this one is cause they didn't think it fit the theme. That and they'd already released an eastern themed class in ninja. So it was kinda too soon.

I dunno, a bit rambly but, I guess what I'm trying to say is I wouldn't count RDM out just yet. I think it has a much higher chance of release than SAM does atm.

On a side note... RDM is the only one of the original FF set of Jobs not currently in game yet.

it'd be a cool contrast to the Bard in having a melee support-y dps class since all of our melee dps is basically damage on top of damage.

See, I understand the words "Japanese (language)", "English (language)", and I feel like I should know that next-to-last kanji, but I don't. Which could be the difference between Japanese and Korean usage of the character anyway. If I had to guess based on context, it's something about Japanese and English grammar?

I'd hope they tried to add the Hybrid/Support role in the next expansion (they seem to be adding some complexity to the jobs in HW so heres hoping)

And they should add

Dancer: Specializing in Melee AOE, and Heals. (with debuff/buffs)
Red Mage : Combined with Spellblade/Mystic Knight/Original Red Mage
Puppetmaster: Mixture of Mime and Puppetmaster (able to copy some job abilities with a higher cooldown, lower potency.

I wouldn't mind Blue Mage but .....I'm on the fence at the moment xD
