Hello, SE how discouraging is it to players who put in effort to see players who do NOT EVEN MOVE GAIN RANK AFTER RANK. You feel like wow im getting somewhere moving on, o what that group of cheater leve linked and gain 5 levels, WITHOUT MOVING< KILLING< BREATHING. GOD that must be the BEST way to alienate diehard players. GET RID of these cheats.

Just because we are ot paying for this game monthly, it is free, doesnt mean it has to be cheap too. We did not rush this game to market, do not say well screw them we wont take care of those that are BLANTANTLY EXPLOITING LEVELS on thm and con, because correcting the behaviour would we mean that we did make a faulty leveling system. OWN up and fix these xheats. STEP one: require movement in order to get exp, something is better than this............

You probably missed this dev post. They're not going to disable power leveling, sorry.

One thing we would like to avoid all costs is EXP stealing by bots.

I don't have time to look at every forum post sorry, but I do have time to say what I am seeing and it is disgusting. This is not power leveling, this is stand at the aetheryte, never move, and rank up because the leve is linked. Even if they are not RMT's, just people that want a level 50 w/o doing anything, what is the point of working towards it when anyone can create 10 accounts and have level 50 easily. When everyone is special, no one is. It's pointless!!!!

This is the opposite of Power Leveling. In ffxi the lower level character had to fight and the high level character was out of the party healing, since the level gap of the party killed exp. Here a level 50 in a party, and the level one gets full exp? Seriously, seriousl\y???????????????????????????????????????/ Why don't we get a 100 people to login, go to a camp, nominate one of us to toil away, three weeks later we all are level 50, brilliant!!!!! more like pointlessly stupid.

It's a nice way to help out a friend who's brand new to the game, and quickly get him/her to a level where you can enjoy content together rather than always hearing:

Not everyone wants (or has the option) to start a new class all over again just to lvl with someone.

I hate RMT just as much as 10 BILLION TIMES MORE THAN the next guy, but this actually can be beneficial more than detrimental in a variety of ways.

This wasn't broken in ffxi, and I do not buy SE's argument about how it is impossible to determine what is help and what is exploitation. THEY stopped this madness in ffxi, and now say do not look behind the curtain. To low a mob= no exp, to high of a rank in party, gimped exp.

Sadly, it will not be my world that will fall apart, it will be the world of ffxiv that will do to this blatant reinvent the wheel the dev team had when distributing exp. Now we just here from them, "What's a wheel?" Hardcore gamers that want a challenge and reward for time, will NEVER take this game up until this is fixed.

Let's look at it this way, when they start charging. I sign up, pay my money and level for a month. Get to level say 25. Then I notice 20 tarus standing around all day at camp, keeping pace with my rank, never moving. This is at every camp I go. I say WHAT THE HELL. Play some more, get to fifty, and now everything earned with having a level fifty char is useless, because guess what there are 100 other level 50's, for every real adventurer, that did nothing to achieve that level. Go look up the word level.

THIS will be the DEATHNAIL of this game. No one in there right mind would pay 13 bucks a month to be on par with rmt's, lazy aholes, and cheats. Sadly, SE does not care.WHY ????

RMT x 5 accounts 3 months+ inf. = 39 bucks(5) + (180)n . A ton more then keeping joe happy.

My question is this: A player picks up the controller everyday and grinds out all the dow/m classes to 50. Another player leve links (or whatever they do to not actually fight and gain exp) and never moves, fights, does anything, and voila, all 50's. What incentive, advantage, or payoff is there to actually picking the controller up?

Do you honestly believe that, one; this can not be addressed, and two; makes for a community of skilled players at endgame? How about we focus on getting "game", before dreaming about "endgame." Carts and horses, etc, etc....

This coud be seen as a pro for some players, you could shout in the cities "Doing 5 leves level 30~ fee is 10kgil per leve link." and vice versa, people offering gil for leve links to their level.

So you think playing and not playing should have the same reward? That is insanity! Why not just have a vendor in the city that allows you to trade a /em smile for a level 1-50 instant level up scroll. They had it right in ffxi then tried to do one better and say we are different, you don't even need to play to get level 50. Wow, some difference. A role playing game should center on differences in roles. Part of that role is the level of characters and the perks of being a higher level. Every D&D player would laugh at this nonsense. If the only difference between 1 and 50 is time, is that a deep immersion in developing a game that will keep anyone but kindergartners interested over the long term? And the impact on the economy is dreadful......How do you sell something to someone that they already have or can easily attain themselves?

this Lalafel issue bother me at beginning but when i use my head. its better this way because old way was hard for us. because people used to raise there lvl faster than now btw .. when u gain almost 20k SP each leve ~ was INSANE but now SP by completing just like 3~6k which i feel its way better .. i have friend have all his DoW 50 because of leve-link thing.

I am going to compare it to D&D. I role a char and start at level one. normally i would have to get together with the guys and troll around town and dungeons role some dice kill some mobs etc. Some nights I cant make it. Ok someones makes the decisions for my toon when i miss a night, but the dice still get rolled and fighting still goes on. Now i'm missing tons of nights, but tell them "hey just put my piece of paper out with everyones, but this time dont roll for my turn and have no chance of dying, or wasting my time. When I get back and I ask you all ready to play, "Lets fire up my level fifty CHAR that i have!!!woot!." Silence.

What lvel 50 char, you werent here you didnt roll the die all that was here was a piece of paper!!! you have to play the game to get the rewards. Anything else is just plain STUPID PEOPLE. cmon, you WANT to pay for that?

I do want this game to work, i love final fantasy!!!!

But here is the thing, over time 5 years from now, no one will play a role playing game where levels do not matter.

If level two requires the exact same amount of effort (press x) as level 50, and the ONLY difference is the time it took to get there, then you are better off watching a monkey making it with a football.

Could you stop talking to yourself (use the edit button if you need to) for a moment? If you see those Onion Doublet clone Lalafell, try reporting them. Chances are most of them are RMT with gibberish name. Power-leveling however, is semi-endorsed by SE and next patch will have even more endorsement, sorry if you're "die-hard" or not.

Talking to myself or presenting scenario's that destroy any thought that this idea of leveling is what should be in a mmorpg? Instead of attacking me personally develop a strategy that says this is a sustainable and wanted element of a role playing game. Your view amounts to this. My friend beat ffvii. I borrowed their memory card, skipped to the last bosses and whopped them real good. Therefore I beat the game of ffvii.

As for reporting RMT's. Yes been doing that since 2003. Think I thought of that.

Power leveling vs. Leveling Power. I will be nice and let you figure that out on your own. Please feel free to refer to the scenario's laid out in previous posts, if you need further insight as to why this attitude that everyone deserves an easy level 50 is childish. No I say, everyone deserves an equal chance to achieve to their true potential. That is why we start at level 1. Allowing a level 50 to party with a level 1, leveling them to 50 means those same levels are meaningless.
