What will you do if the horns stay attached to the heads?

I've been following the fairly popular thread "Please make the Au Ra horns separate from the faces!" and there's no denying that there are plenty of people that would like to see this happen.
But now I want to know what people will do if the horns remain attached to the faces. Will you still try out an Au Ra at release or will you scratch that completely?

I thought I would give this its own thread so the question won't get burried in the "separate horns" thread.

I will adapt and make the best with what I have.

I'll still change to Au Ra.

There are always going to be limitations on character creation, always. If you really want to use a certain race + gender combination you just have to work around those limitations.

I didn't even notice this when I was going through benchmark.

I'm gonna flip a coin once Heavensward comes out. Heads, I switch to Au Ra. Fantasia, full name change, everything. Tails, I stay a roe and just make a new Au Ra alt.

Either way, this doesn't bother me all that much.

I happen to like the combo I settled on, so I'll still be changing most likely.

I honestly don't care that much about this issue. I'll still switch over to Au Ra.

I will still be an au'ra no matter what it wasn't the horns that made me interested in them anyway.

I'll still change to Au Ra. Luckily, the horn and face combos that I want are already put together.

The face I like matches with the horns I like as well (the fins) so it works for me. Either way I'll be changing for sure :)

But I can see the importance of wanting to separate the horns from the face, and they should. I really hope the devs can do this, or else I suspect we won't be seeing as many au ra...

I have no issues with the horn/face combo i'll be using, but i can understand why people want these to be separated.

... Change to Au'ra still?

I really hope they stick with their artistic vision of this race. Having options is something I'd usually consider as a great thing, but their horns are a huge differentiating feature of their race compared to what's already available.

Edit: I get it. Horns and face separate, not horns being optional. They should actually think about doing this. Opinion retracted!

I'd work with what I got. I came up with some pretty nice looking ones if I do say so myself. ^^

I'm one of the few who doesn't really care for this tbh. I like the way the faces look and how unique they are. I'll already be sticking with what i created regardless if they change it or not.

I'll still switch to an Au Ra. I love dragons and that is what attracted me to them to begin with. If I have to stick with the horns for the face I like, well... at least the horns look better than the Miqote male's tail position.

While I would like the option for horn changing, the face type I like most also has the horn type I like most so it isn't a big deal either for myself. Fantasia!

I've been on the fence about making an Au Ra alt, so the horns are a big deal breaker for me personally. If they don't separate them I'll most likely hold off on making one, maybe save my last two alt spots for more cats.

I'd deal (since it's most probable that it won't change). Mind you I will still be less happy; I've dealt with another customization feature that didn't exist for ten years and counting in another game. T-T

Going to make an au ra character to be my new main, i have both a male and female design actually and both have the horn/face combo i want already.. so i lucked out i guess @.@

More options are always nice so I hope they separate them before launch for those that want it. If they don't I will still be using a fantasia anyway because I love the horn and face combo for my character.

I'd remain a Duskwight.

But I was gonna do that anyway.

Eventually I'll make an Au'ra alt, I'm sure, but not immediately.

I will adapt, and simply be mildy irritated whenever I see another player with the exact clone of character only with different colors.

Because eyes/mouth/nose don't make enough of a difference.

I'll make an Au Ra either way. It would be nice to have more options because there will be the people who will choose a head type for the horns or for the face. Being able to choose would ensure less clones.

I don't plan on changing my Highlander to an Au Ra but no matter if they make the horns changeable or not I still plan on making alts cause I made really nice ones for each clan. ^_^b

I'm on the fence. There are things I like and things I dislike about the race; the horns being tied to the face isn't a deal breaker by itself, per se, but it is mark on the dislike side.

Honestly, I think making my Au Ra and seeing animations and such in-game is the only thing that will ultimately sell me on the race or make me decide to stay a cat.

One of my retainers is definitely becoming an Au Ra though, regardless. :)

It's no different than Miqo'te markings being attached to the face type, and that didn't seem to deter the hundreds of thousands of people from rolling one anyway. It's not that big of a deal.

Omg.. I never would've remembered if you didn't say that Gemma. Now It all came back to me. Haha.

Ok, so far it seems that the majority that has left a comment here will play/try out an Au Ra at release. I don't know if anyone from the "Seperate horns" thread has posted here or not, as I would like to know how any of you would do. As I know that most from that thread seems rather upset that the horns are locked (at the moment as we know of). Would you still try the Au Ra or leave it, just because of the horns being locked.

I am all for costumization options even if I don't need it personally I like the freedom it gives.
But I also understand that everything is not perfect and sometimes we have to deal with it.
I wonder if any of the other language sections (As I don't speak much else than Swed & Eng) got something similar to this topic.

I beileve that pic and sentence is from Liar Liar... not The Mask.

I love my Au Ra and I don't care about the horns and face shape combo. I personally love my horns ^^, I didn't imagine myself choosing the horns I have but now that I have them it gives a great look and added personality to my Au Ra!

I definitely do not want anything changed. Anyway, if they add in extra customising for Au Ra then extra customising needs to be added to the other races.

Well for me, I like all of the horn options, so I would've been happy with any of the horn options. That said, I am very happy with the horns paired with the face I chose, and do intend to try out Au Ra, for at least a little while. Of course, once I figure out the naming conventions, I'll be determining how much of a pain this change will really be (because I rather like "Hesternal Harvest").

Work with it, but my favourite faces happen to go with my favourite horns on the males anyway :).

Don't really care not making a new character anyway

I'll stick to Au Ra at first I didn't really like the horn options for my favourite face but noticed it's actually not all that bad, at least you can see your profile since the other male horn options cover the whole face from the sites.

I still fully support the optional horns for all faces though as I know some people aren't happy with their choises.

I would have liked it if females were only a foot taller than lala and even more super cutesy with no option to look imposing, and they would also have belly windows in /all/ their armor.

Also the guys would all be be built like the hulk because people want that, and would be suuuuper dragony with only the ability to wear leather speedos

....ahem.. needed it out of my system...

DX au ra look great.. and three races can't change their ears /at all/ so while this would be neat (and it would) au ra do have some serious customization already.. so yay for possibly adding more but if they don't thats not terrible.. also.. x.x i like the miqote height.. but thats just me >.> joking about the lala height part though
