Any HM class or higher trial has Echo on it dude. I even think Dorm Chimera and Hydra have it now. You have to survive for at least 5 minutes in the trial With Out Dieing before it'll activate though and will go to a maximum of a 20% boost to all stats.
All levels of The Binding Coil have echo activated from the start. From the first turn of the first coil all the way to the final turn of the final coil, you get the 20% buff as soon as the raid starts. (You don't get it in any of the Crystal Tower raids btw)
So what are you wiping so fast that you're never seeing echo? More Data needed man.
I think for trials, you get the echo if the party manages to stay alive 3 minutes after engaging the fight. 5 minutes seems to long in my experience.
Each echo step is 10% for HM trials, Chimera and Hydra, 5% for EX trials. There is no echo for MSQ trials, nor for Hildibrand's quests trials.
Regarding Coil, it's a flat 20% for the Binding Coil turns 1,2,4,5 (no echo in turn 3) and Second Coil turns 1,2,3,4. It's only a flat 10% in Final Coil turns 1,2,3,4. That being said, we can imagine that Final Coil echo may increase to 15% and then 20% in the future (it has been that way for BCoB and SCoB).
Just to clarify when I said no echo in MSQ trials: I meant those which are not HM primals: hence Westwind Cape and the last two from patches 2.5 and 2.55
Cape Westwind doesn't need it and Odin and Steps of Faith? They might get it eventually but i don't think they need it either with the current gear levels.
Sorry wasn't clear, Urth's Fount is one that urks me so much.
Odin is a massive DPS check. Adding in Echo to that fight would defeat that purpose.
Hard to beat it when people in story have low gear to fight it.
It can be done in lower-level gear if people actually know how to play their class properly. If they don't, even a higher level of gear isn't going to fix that.
I've been in groups with people in i100-i110 gear who were able to make the DPS check with ease.
In Urth's Fount you can almost get aways with one tank and solo-heals if the tank and healer are competent. But that's made all the more difficult by incompetent DPS making it that much harder on the ONE healer. Still there's nearly no need for two tanks since Odin is the only tankable enemy in the trial.
The 2 Tanks is a bit weird since there is no swap i guess they figured if one dies then another is there to take over. The main problem i find healing it in DF is people tend to derp into stuff which is not a good idea when you have a bleed debuff on you. Two Healers should be more than enough to heal through the debuff if people are not terrible. The main thing that screws people over in DF is DPS not hitting their mark before Odin enrages so they can't kill him in time. If he's not sub 20% he isn't going to die to most groups.
Echo is fine for dragging people through old content that isn't popular anymore but for something as recent as Odin? If you give people echo for everything then they learn nothing.
Odin will get echo eventually.
It honestly surprises me they haven't done it already, given that they did add the Steps of Faith, so Odin is actually dated content.
But yeah, it's just a matter of time.
