In 3.0 can we have some more wands and magic shields?

Just as alternatives maybe? I really love the look but they are all pretty weak sadly. ;_;

Not asking to remove the staffs because I know people love the looks of those as well, but the wand and shield combo just looks so cool to me and it would be nice to have more choices.

I'm not asking them to replace staffs at all, just for more options to individualize our characters with.

Agree, and also cowls. I'd like to glamour my Austere Cowl on BLM and I can't because all my high level gear has separated body/head pieces...

I'm not a fan of magic wands and shields because the "battle" pose looks silly.
And let's be hones only a handful of wands look good but almost all shields look either dumb or silly, with the only exception maybe the Primal Extreme shield.

I think they look far cooler than staffs.

I mean it's fine if you don't like them but this topic is for those that do.

(Pssst, the battle stance is the same for staves and wands, with or without shields, for both THMs and CNJs. Even the running and combat animations are the same <.<....)

Wands are the reason I choose not to main a whm. They look horrible imo. This is FF not Harry Potter. If they do add more wands I'll be laughing at my healer partner though. He'll be super mad if he has to use one. lmao

I never said you have to use one, I said add it as an alternative choice for those who enjoy the look. Heck even on the main poster girl Y'shtola uses a wand. They are part of the lore and wands have been part of the series before.

I'm sure some will disagree with me but I think it would be nice if either the new BLM or WHM relic was a wand/shield combo instead of a staff.

Same here with shield you have a chance to block and attack which can save you lol

i use to run with wands everything cause i like having a shield but theres only relic staff so i gave up on them

Not if there is an equal staff alternative. It's not impossible to have both.

Or at least some new looks with an option to glamour over staffs with wands and shields.

Yes if they added a staff with the exact same stats there wouldn't be an issue.

Well, there would be an issue in that you need two items instead of one. That being said, they just need a better glamour system that allows single slot and multi-slot items to be compatible. Hoods, full body suits, and wand/ shield combos need love.

Personally I really dislike having to use a shield/wand combination for WHM.

The small amount of BLMs and WHMs I know also dislike them. ^^;;;

More options are great, just I'd rather not be locked into them.

Wand/shield is terrible. What, do you want a wand/shield AND a staff at every single level? You really want to have to hunt down both a shield and a weapon to get the same stats as you would get from a staff? I understand liking the way wands look (I don't agree, but I understand), but logistically, it's a complete nightmare and we'd be way better off only having one kind of main arm. There's no stat difference between staff and wand/shield other than you need to get a shield as well, and which kind of weapon you get magically flips around at some levels. It's... awful.

i just don't see the point of having options available when you start and not having them later on

Unless they make wands glamourable to staff's I vote no... (remember T5 Wand? no one can even glamour it right now so its 100% useless!)
