Anyone else got charged? Payment Started?

I was pretty sure i had been following with any lodestone updates and news but nothing here told me that they were starting payments now. Woke up this morning to find this in my email and i rechecked lodestone if it had been quoted anywhere or they just ninja charged it.

Have no charge here. I dont think they'd just punce it on us because a lot would be insanely pissed as they are just not ready. Must be something else, maybe XI account as they moved to SE ID's now instead of POLID.

Square Enix did not announce a subscription resumption. My advice, cancel your credit card that's on file with CnB and do not use the service again. There was a forum thread a while ago - a "threadnaught" in EVE terms - that had 500 replies. Here it is: Terrible Payment System

My case with CnB has NOT been resolved, after more than a month - and they have not responded to my attempts at contact.

Click and Buy is NOT trustworthy because it has been proven time and time again that they lack proper customer service capability. Also, CnB is more commonly used for gambling websites, and it has been mentioned that some of CnB's operators are also gamblers themselves.

If this doesn't make things loud and clear, let me say this: Call your bank, tell them to cancel your card. NOW.

CnB is just not worth the trouble at all.

Others have done so, and were told to contact ClickandBuy. ClickandBuy has not proven diligent at all in servicing its customers.

The only possibility that comes to mind is that you have an XI account that has moved over to your SE account. If this is the case, the charges may be legit - compare them to your XI costs.

If you don't have an XI account, what you are best-off doing depends on what country you live in but in general the following procedure would apply for best outcomes.

- Check your bank balance and recent transactions. You want to ascertain if the charge actually happened or if this was just a glitch email.
- Contact Click&Buy. I know this sounds futile, but you need to at least make a reasonable attempt at resolving the matter personally or it will make things harder down the line. If my memory is correct (and my memory is hazy on this), then their customer service hours may be limited to morning business hours, German time. I'd try then.
- Contact SE through their portal. Same reasons for doing this applies. Use phone if there is an SE office in your country or you have a VOIP phone. If not, use email, although a response will take longer to get.
- If you get an unsatisfactory or no response, contact the UK financial ombudsman. Do NOT sue either company directly. Do NOT make any threats of action yourself other than to say you'll be going to the ombudsman. The ombudsman exists for the purpose of resolving these cases.

Cancelling your credit card may be a wise move, but is ultimately done at your own discretion. If you want to take the risk that they may charge you again, that is of course up to you.

Do your best to remain calm and collected at all times. Having worked in a call centre, I know that the customer who does so is taken much more seriously and people will more likely go out of their way to help you.

You are looking to dispute an inconsistency in billing, not complain about theft.

Well SE , is in Big Problems if this "problem" keeps Evolving and since SE ANNOUNCE alredy the game if FREE At the Momen i think the Fault is on Click And Buy

Quite sure that's FFXI, because FFXI is only automatic monthly while FFXIV has up to 6 months option.

Damn, had a really good post written up but my connection went wonky.

Anyways pretty much said someone needs to take down C&B and bury them.

Indeed. The case for the consumer is sound as there is evidence saying that Square Enix is not currently billing for XIV. As long as you can demonstrate this calmly, you have grounds to stand on. Remember that the more one rages and sounds angry on the phone, the more one gets treated like a whinging child.

Only freak out if you don't have an FFXI account, so OP do you have an FFXI account?

18.95 is 1 account and 6 mules. is that your current FFXI sub?

P.S. if SE started to charge for FFXIV this forum would be nothing but WTF posts. Also I don't think you would be the only one C&B would have chraged if you didn't have an FFXI account.
