- the same NPC will be enabled to buy this item from you for 500 000 gils. This will protect crafters from idiots / fulll-of-RMT-gils people who make the markets collapse by undercutting too much.

Hence you should have the certainty to sell/buy your pair of boots at any price in a range from 500k to 2 mils wich seems decent.

Second measure is to add regular materias to the wolf dens vendor, for wolfs marks.

This will calm down the RMTish materias Market . Bring people back to PVP and to craft activities if they want moonies instead of brainless SBing. And this will allow people to decently meld their relic since its more like a pay to win with best materias worthing 900 K atm

Do you have any idea how many of those I can spam? Even 4 star stuff I can all spam them without limit.

RMT has 2 great ways to generate gil:

Farm dungeon mobs (that for some reason still drop gil, square enix stop being bad and just remove gil from killing monsters, keep the gil rewards to the challenge log and duty finder bonus)
Farm dungeons for loot - all the craft mats they ever wanted, all the tomestones they ever wanted, etc.

And the "farming" method that we all know - just gather 24/7 and sell stuff on the mb

The entire point of the market boards is to let players determine the value and price of the things they buy and sell.

Personally don't agree with this idea, crafters should be able to charge whatever they want for items the make, there is no need for a fixed market and I really don't see how it would help. In addition to that, I don't think NPCs that create large quantities of new gil would be healthy to the in game economy.

Last proposition is to have a community rep. attending at each server for half a day per week. He will have a discussion for any 50+ people FC which is interested. They will make an arrangement :

- the said FC will agree on helping ten people per week having their T9 or something kill. this will be monitored .

- then if the FC does its part of the deal for 5 weeks it will be considered by SE as an " official friendly FC " rewarded with some cool perks such as, a FC name displayed in gold or an early access to the patch notes for every member. not something too much important but something cool

This is to reduce the run sellers activity which leads to more RMT

The said NPCs wont harm the economy since they will never release their gils into the market. NPCs already have infinite gils by nature. They trade gils for stuff so each time new gils are put into the market, a piece of stuff has been removed. This is not creating any inflation

Have you actually tried turn 9? It takes most new statics 1-3 months to actually beat it running it several hours a week. Why would you expect random people who put in the effort to waste their own play time carrying new players through it?

Also, there are a lot of run sellers that have absolutely nothing to do with RMT. You have no proof that run selling is even related to RMT at all. Have you not seen the gathering bots and dungeon running blm bots that constantly flood the servers and never get banned after months of botting?

I don't sell runs personally and I can understand why some people are against it but to try and pin the RMT tag on people just because they sell runs (the fastest way to make gil in this entire game) is just ignorant in my opinion.

I think you're misinterpreting the effect this has on the economy. When players sell items to other players, no new gil is created in the process and added to the economy. When a player sells an item to an npc, lets say for 500k as per your example, 500k gil that never existed enters the economy. There are hardly no gil sinks to keep up with the sheer amount of new gil this type of system could potentially create. Eventually this will lead to inflation unless additional gil sinks are added that actually destroy gil.

I guess that having the npc sell the item at an extremely high price is probably what you're considering as a gil sink but the thing is, crafters will either sell the item for less so that nobody buys from the npc.. or they won't craft the item at all and people will only buy from the npc.

Yet another thread complaining about not being able to afford things. Look, it's pretty simple when you get down to it. If you want something, save up for it. If you don't like how much crafters charge, make it yourself. If you don't like how much run sellers charge, clear it yourself. Asking the devs and the GM's to regulate the market this way is basically taking the idea of a free market and throwing it out the window.

The blatant fearmongering that you're throwing around by relating everything back to RMT is a pretty thin veil imo.

Fyi i have more than 14 mils of crafted gear on my BLM which is the full i110 pentameld set since 2.4 release. I think i m still wearing for 5mils of this stuff on my lodestone page. im not a bum.

If you're trying to have a discussion with a mature community, you should probably leave out the part where you imply that everyone from crafters to run sellers is involved with RMT. In any case, I'm confused; if you have these items, why are you complaining about the prices being too high? If you can afford them without resorting to RMT, surely other players can too. If you crafted them yourself, surely others can do that as well. An NPC selling crafted gear at a fixed price seems like a lot of hand-holding to me. It's not needed. :|

As far as the clears, how do you decide who those lucky ten people are that get a charity clear dropped on them? What if they're people that aren't even interested in coil? What if they're alts? Honestly, I don't see any reason to randomly give away clears. You mayaswell just make them purchaseable in the cash shop.

As in my first sentence, not all server economies are the same. Go prop up a character on a Japanese data center server and look at the prices of those items, and while your at it..leave your character logged on for a day and count the number of gil spammers on your chat. So not only would I be able to make billions of gil, I'd be adding billions of gil to the economy wrecking it. Something tells me you haven't thought this through properly.

I think SE is alright with the prices of crafted goods at the moment.

If it's too high they will do something about it, e.g. reduce scarcity of mats, make the crafting easier, in the worst case selling it on a vendor as you have mentioned.

All these ideas take the agency out of player hands. They dont make much sense to be honest. What is the point if a crafting system where players can not sell items at a price which they deem appropriate for the total cost to create them? If you dont like the price then dont buy them, wait until they go down in price, IF they go down in price.

The market also usually stabilises itself, if the finished product is selling for less than the mats, the selling price of mats is usually reduced.

Most markets in FF14 do not collapse, they stabilise. Scare monger tend to claim they collapse. (There are a few exceptions to this, like the occasional undercutting war with endgame crafters or those who try to establish a hegemony, but these are usually sorted out by other players reacting to these events).

Why would you want a vendor to sell these things to at a ridiculous price in the first place? It means then no one has to work particularly hard for their gil, which will cause out of control inflation. This will, in turn, cause all of the products on the MB to increase in price, having the opposite effect of what you want. There has to be supply and demand, crafters currently supply the demand on the MB. A vendor that you can sell to for a high price is in fact going to ruin the economy.

As for the idea about making people take others through hard content......well why dont the people just learn how to do it themselves?

People, if they want to progress, should work for it. They do not need everything safeguarded in a nanny state.
