WOOT!!!!!!! TILL SEA SWALLOWS ALL!!!!
Do you actually PvP? How can you possibly enjoy the 30+ minute queues?
You can't...
Race
Play Triad
Have a companion
Join a FATE party
Drop group (if in a pre-made)
Join group (if not in a pre-made)
PvP with friends in another GC
Change GC's without losing significant PvP Exp and Gear
Do most Leves
Take a DAMN BIO BREAK without sacrificing another 30 minutes.
etc etc etc...
Meanwhile I could easily field multiple FL's instances with the amount of people that are in favor of removing this restriction.
I dont think that would change anything because everybody is salty with the queues. No GC have a better waiting time.
A much easier solution would be mix EU and US datacenter since both're in canada and the ping probably is similar.
I have 2 full linkshells for PvP including Wolves Den. Having a premade does not make que times faster in Frontline. And you are completely full of it if you believe que times are 15mins "mostly" on Aether, ESPECIALLY NOT SECURE-my favorite PvP mode that is quite literally dying.
Tell us because I'm curious personally.
Anyone else more excited about the update to the Wolves' Den them anything that happens with FL? ^^
The GC Restriction causes teams to be polarized, and that in turn benefits one GC in terms of more wins, and penalizes them in terms of a longer wait between games. Fewer people want to be on the team that loses most, and those who are already on that team don't want to play as often as otherwise, so queues popping is very dependent on enough people in the GC that loses most being willing to queue up anyway for a smaller chance at winning.
If you're in the GC with the least wins, and a certain number of you are required to form an instance, that might seem like a benefit to you, but it really means that a drawback of the system (the barrier to rapid party formation & instance generation) applies to you less than the dominant group. But without the GC Restriction at all, those barriers to filling parties would cease to exist, and what might be perceived as a benefit (fastest queueing of the 3 GC's) is really a detriment of the system not holding you back as much as it holds back others... but it's still a negative.
At first i was excited, but with all the bad decisions they've been taking with pvp i'm more afraid
With all the nonsense they've been doing with pvp i wouldn't be surprise their idea of making the arena "better" is to get 8v8 people there and putting silly objectives (the 8v8 part has been mentioned more than once, though not specifically if its a new mode or how they're going to change it, objectives im not sure), killing the whole point of arena. If the 8v8 wolves' den thing is some kind of smale scale battleground and they'd keep arena at 4v4 with competition added(ie rankings, etc), i'd be all for it though as we need those instead of more mass scale FLs.
When they mentioned 'roulette' the first time people said 'Yay no more waiting, no more restriction!!!' because that's what they (and I) wanted, but I said 'No don't get your hopes up, that will just have to do with which of the two new modes we get, the current one of the new one.' No one gave that any credence but sadly I was right.
I'm afraid this time they're just going to have each GC's starting point be random, which would be the least of what we've been asking for, and leave who we can/will queue with& against be set in stone. I'd like to be wrong.
Naw, I do not Red Wolf, I just peruse the PVP forums for my own perverse pleasure, I'm straight up, G'd up, #PVE4LIFE
but you can;
Do full party treasure hunts (16 maps baby woot!)
Spiritbond gear
catch up on crafting
mining/botany/fishing( my PVP Maelstrom'rs premade all go fishing together waiting on queues)
need I go on?
P.S Triple Triad is soo 1998 #Doyouevenlift,Bruh?

Premades don't make it any faster, but we are able to tell when we get a pop about 10 seconds before it happens.
Wait time pops up and then BAM we're in.
tbh, I've gone to get a drink for like 30 seconds and it's popped >_>. I hate that about the PvP queue.
And there IS a way to PvP with people from other GCs ... Wolves Den. :P
The best possible way they can set it while still keeping GC alliances mostly intact is creating a queue system which tries to put you in with the GC you are a member of if it can. If there isn't enough players on one side then it will start dropping people into other GCs.
While I prefer being a member of the flames; I would honestly prefer fighting a match as a Maelstrom or Twin Adder member every now and then than not getting a queue pop at all.
What your not considering though is that Mael on the aether data center has the smallest population of the 3. Numbers for queing will skew lower for you because you have a smaller pool to draw from. As a result it increases your que speed. It really has nothing to do with being in a premade.
Hi SE just wanted to share this. Tonight 7 of us queued up for both Frontline modes, waited at least 45 min with no queue pop, and finally we gave up. Between the 7 of us, that was over 5 cumulative hours wasted. We gave up for the night- free time is limited and valuable for us- which means there's 7 less players tonight to fill the queues up for other players who would undoubtedly like to play a match, so they're now waiting longer and/or eventually giving up I'm sure.
There is no good reason for this. Since there are no role restrictions, this is practically the only content with the potential to simply let us play when there's enough people, and not have to wait and wait and wait until all the conditions are met for matching up certain kinds of people based on what GC they joined at lvl 20 of all things.
We are still frustrated, still disappointed, and we still expect an answer as to what is going to be done and when to alleviate this situation. Imagine any other game making people wait out a 45 minute+ timer in between each PVP match, it would be such a disaster that it would make headlines across the gaming industry. I'm sure there are developers who worked very hard on this content and who would like to see players actually able to use and enjoy it.
We got into about 6-7 games tonight. D: From about 5pm-12pm or so. Did you guys all queue together or solo? We did most of our games as an 8 man premade.
