Like the title says let us see bosses' HP in numbers. In many RPGs I've played before you can see how much the boss has health, for example, in FFXII you can scan the monsters to see their weaknesses and HP etc.
For example it can be quite confusing in a fight like Shiva extreme or Coil (not sure since I'm still doing 2nd Coil) where the boss has 7% HP, DPS uses LB, Boss' HP drops by... 1%.
Boom! Tank died, no lb, healers dead, and soon... A wipe.
Edit since I didn't make my point clear: My point was that you'd actually know how much they have HP and would know when to use or save the LB. Atm there's no way of seeing their HP in numbers only in percentages.
I think it's not first in priority but it would definitely make this feel more like a RPG, to me at least and I don't really see a reason why not.
What do you think about this? Post your thoughts.

There are ways to display it in numbers and percentage but its for you to find that out for yourself. (unless you are on console then too bad)

Would be nice to see the numbers.. but I really don't see how your tank and healers dying have anything to do with seeing the numbers.

I meant it like they might have, I'm just throwing numbers here, 300k HP in 10%. You might think they're at low health while the fight could last for more than a minute still. I mean y'know there's no way of telling how much they have HP you use the LB and the boss doesn't even flinch.
My point was you'd know when to save it or use it etc, etc.

The percentage meter the game already has is adequate enough for these purposes. Bosses in this game always transition at set times or set %'s. So % is plenty.

People asked for, requested and demanded we get %s and, look, they gave it to us. And we were happy. Happy because we had a metric with which to know when to go nuts on the bosses and when not. It's also a small, easy to read number. The full value of their HP, though, would not improve a thing. We'd be back to guessing how much HP they had and when the next phase started unless someone was willing to do the math whenever they weren't 'jumpin an shootin'. We don't need more numbers, we need better players. People willing to put the blame stick down when there's a wipe, dust themselves off and try again! Seriously... one wipe and invariably someone's pointing fingers and naming names like their shyte don't stink...

That wipe was just an example not like it hasn't happened before but it's just something I'd like to see implemented, like the percentage it's a toggle on/off option but yeah I mean in FFXIII Barthandelus had more than, what was it? 3 million HP yeah it's a big number but at least you could see you were making progress and it's just something I'm used to seeing in RPGs so I made a suggestion.

Yeah, not really sure how seeing the exact numbers would matter. It's not like seeing the bosses HP at 8959/92000 is more useful then seeing 9%, or how it would somehow make the LB you talked about deal more damage.

There really is no point to to changing this. At all...every hit makes progress, and if you're farming a Primal you should already know how much an lb does.

I don't see how this would be useful.
Nobody knows the system in which this game generates damage numbers, so knowing the exact amount of hits needed to kill a monster is pointless.
Percent is enough. -

For those saying it would be a useless number, no, I don't think it'd be useless. If it's important to deal 30k hp damage for some reason (to push a phase, or kill a boss, or whatever), the percentage isn't going to help you much. Can we do without it? Sure. We already do. Would it be helpful to have? Of course. Heck, even percentages are a luxury; don't need 'em, can eyeball the rough percentage easily enough even with it turned off.
Knowing SE, though, I think it's far more likely that future NMs will go in the opposite direction: COMPLETELY HIDE the HP bar, so you don't even know what percent you're at. This fad was all the rage in FFXI for a while. (Dammit, SE!) -

Far too often I see people wasting (yes, wasting) the limit break by sitting on it like a mother hen until the boss is next to death. Yeah, cuz it would be wonderful to give the min-maxers the tools they need to calculate EXACTLY how much DPS you need to do on a boss to push a phase or whatever.
"OK, so, we know for a fact that Titan's Heart has 25.000 HP, and it takes 30 secs to blow. SO, we need 25000 / 30 = 833,333 (repeating, of course) a steady ~840 DPS to be able to break it. Dividing that for 5 DPS, counting the 2 tanks = 1 DPS... 168. Now, I'm looking here at my ToS-breaking parser that tells me exactly how much DPS each of you lazy asses are doing, and I'm seeing that the BRD is pulling only 140 DPS.
So, I'm kicking BRD off the party for reasons of YOU SUCK. ktkxbye"

All of the numbers you need to be a jerk and kick somebody based on DPS are already in the parsers that have been getting used since launch. SE doesn't ban parser users unless they use them to harass people and talk about them in game. ToS-breaking or not, tons of people parse to track their own personal performance.Quote:

I support this. I don't really care about seeing their HP during the fight, but it would definitely entertain me to know the total hp of all the bosses in the game.
This wouldn't really effect much at all, it would be a nice little neat feature if added though.
Anyone who sees any harm in this is overthinking it imo.
