Going beyond Level 50.

Are you going to take all your Lv50s to 60, or just focus on main and/or secondary?

This is tough for me. Right now, I have WHM, NIN, BRD, DRG, PLD, and WAR at 50. Currently, I play WHM as much as I can, but hop on NIN or BRD based on PF or if folks need help.

So, not sure if I want to keep doing WHM (higher iLv), BRD (close to finishing Novus, but lower iLv than my NIN), or NIN, who I have been doing surprisingly well with from a DPS-perspective (love the Trick Attack spam in long fights).

If there is new cross class abilities, i will level them just to get those. Though i am very interested in machinist. Really hoping it's not another support ranged dps. I will more than likely take nin to 60 first.

I think most people will get their main to 60 (and the corresponding jobs/classes for cross skills if it still works that way) to do end game with.

This expansion will not be different. As time goes by, you'll have more time to look at your other jobs. The only change could be switching main to one of the 3 new jobs. That's one week of full attack leveling/questing/gearing.

I do hope they get rid of cross skills. It gets cumbersome when you have to level to 34 and up for an ability.

Main to 60 then my off to 60 then everything else along with the new jobs.

I am sure I will start with BLM which is my main just to get access to the complete new main story but soon after that I will start the somewhat long process of becoming all 60, including all DoL/DoH and new classes. My character doesn't feel complete until I have maxed every class and leveling and achievements is what I play for.

My SCH for instant queues and my MNK for fun. Anything other than that is extra.

I'm getting them all to 60 just like i now have all 50 :3 but i will do so at my own pace and i'll be probaly be checking out the new jobs first

I only level the jobs I actually like, so things like dragoon, blackmage, and whatever else I never bothered with so I can rule them out. I'll take my main nin to 60 first, then I will see about the new jobs. Im quite interested in dark knight tanking, so if I leveled that I wouldnt take paladin any further than 50, if I like astrologian I wouldnt bother with scholar (even though it was my main before nin), if I like machinist, there's no reason to take bard further if I've got a new ranged dps.

Eventually all 60, but doing 1 class 50-60 for new story before starting one of the new classes from 1-60. If I get bored leveling 1-60 class I'll get on one 50-60 and do that instead. (All classes 50 atm)

Only doing my SCH to 60 and leveling for whatever CC Abilities come from the WHM and AST :P SUCK IT

I enjoy the leveling process, so I'll probably try to stretch it out as long as possible. I'll likely do one level or two on my main, paladin, then do ten levels of Machinist a level or two for armored and miner, and then start the loop again until all of my main classes are at the new cap.

Well Bard is my main so that's definitely getting to max.
I may also max SCH and NIN. I feel like I need -some- tank class at max so I may do PLD.

The only other ones I have/want to get to fifty are WHM and BLM. I really have no interest in any other job, so if I level them at all it will be for cross-class. I mean, I have a lot of time on my hands, but for example, I just don't like PGL or LNC at all....ugh.

My first will be get to 60 SMN, PLD and BRD - and then EVERYTHING ELSE.... °_°;;;;
Right now I'm trying to get all my classes to 50, so when the new cap comes I will just have 10 levels to do for each and.... well the 3 new jobs form lvl 1 u.u;;;;

First I want to level all the new jobs to 50, while level all DoL/DoH to 60.

After that, level every class/job to 60.

I'm going to get my main (SCH) and off (BLM) to 50, depending on whether or not I like tanking enough to replace the BLM with PLD/WAR as my off-class. Then, after I complete main story and get all settled into the new endgame, I'll level Machinist and then Astrologian. :3 Then everything else.

I will probably level my summoner to 60 and after that I don't really know, I am gonna be so overwhelemd with options

Thats assuming present dungeons will give any xp for post 50 ^_^. They may just turn it off to prevent that and to focus players into the new content for the new level cap. Also would be VERY surprised if they design levelling dungeons like previous ones which allowed for first room clears.

My hope, which probs wont happen, is repeatable dynamic quests for second jobs to level up alongside dungeons, dynamic meaning there are variables so that each time you repeat them on another job they are different.

On topic: MNK first plus any other classes that allow croos class abilites, then probs SCH on alt. New classes will organise with FC so we can make a full party for dungeons made of the new jobs. But things may change when it finally lands XD

Working as intended, one of the major selling points for ffxiv is the ability to level every class on a single character. That's SE's way of encouraging us to do so.

@TC I'll just level DRK all the way to 60, and then WAR, plan on making DRK my new main anyway.

Depends on what is required. If levels 51-60 act exactly like 1-50, then I'll take everything to 60. If the leveling process requires something like Chocobo levels 11-20, then I doubt I will.

Heals/tanks first as i main em then dunno if I go for new classes feel crafters are worth it or do some dps classes... I'm moody will decide there spontaneiously :)

I'm contemplating leveling 3 DoH classes to 60 first. Otherwise, whichever of PLD, BLM, or SCH gets me into dungeons fastest. :3

This is in addition to checking out the new classes... at least a little, of course. >.>;

I plan to level everything to the new cap eventually but there's no real rush to do so immediately after release. I'll either be taking my SMN to 60 first or jumping straight into Machinist depending on what fixes SMN finally gets and how Machinist actually plays.

Right now I'm planning on focusing on Brd, Pld, and Whm, then trying out the new jobs, then leveling the other battle classes.

I haven't really decided on an order for DoL/DoH, but I'll probably start with Fisher since I enjoy it the most.

Maxing my main scholar first while leveling one the new classes(Dark knight or Astro) at the same time. I want to get someone to 60 first so I can participate in whatever the end game content will be. I'll eventually level all DoW/DoM classes to 60 though.

Definitely getting my SCH to 60, but I'm not sure what else I'll even have at 50 when the expansion launches - WAR is likely, as is MNK, but I'm still not far with those.
I also intend to play AST, and if I like it I'll be taking it from 1 to 60.

I'll likely get all my crafters and gatheres to 60 before I reach that point on any combat class.

I'm not sure what will actually happen for DoW/DoM, but I'm expecting to hit 60 on my mains (warrior, monk) before I actually get there on the new jobs, if only because I'll probably keep running roulettes daily on them.
I do plan to get all 3 new jobs to 50 so that I get a good feeling of how they play before I commit to taking any of them to 60.

Given enough time, I'll have every job at 60. Which job gets all my tomestones, gear and relic weapons depends on how the jobs play at 60.

If SE could change their stance on monks and have them tankier (more HP, more counter-attacks, ways to get threat) even at the cost of their DPS, I'd probably make that my one and only main job. I miss the more traditional feel of Monk!

I'm not a fan of the level 60 thingy. I wish it could've been done differantly. Leveling to 60 might be a "Game Killer" for "ME" if it takes too much time. I wonder if we'll have the choice to stay in the "Old World and not Travel to the "New World". I'm not liking everything I've heard/read on flying mounts. This expansion might not be for me. If this is the case, "I wish All of you good luck!!"

MNK and WHM to 60, so i can choose between DPS and healer for lv60 content
Then BTN and WVR (they both work good together)
After that the rest

If they fix summoner, I'll probably take that to 60 first. If not, probably white mage for soloing and black mage for raids. Somewhat unfortunately, people in my FC are going to try new jobs but will mostly be staying in the same roles. Ie the healers want to try astrologian, the tanks want to try dark knight, and the DPS are going for machinist. If a lot of them switch to machinist I might be able to switch to a melee DPS, though, so we don't have all ranged. In which case I'll probably take dragoon to 60.

Am in a bit of a bind with it. I main BLM for solo play and WAR for FC but and he same time I really want to try DRK and MAC
