Another idea I had would be to allow the option to use minions as AIs who aided you in dungeons instead of being forced to team up with other players. You could select from the minions, set up their character class stats, what they would attack, heal, etc. before entering dungeon. You could have up to three with you, so it would be like the warriors of Light classic four. The only thing that stopped me from having fun was having to depend on other players to help you in dungeons. They would either be extremely nice or very mean to you if you messed up. Having Ais would take off that pressure and would make it more fun for people who aren't very social.
I also think it would be cute if there was a mount of tiny minions that carried you like you were a queen or king. :3

Don't know if they will ever do this op tbh.
I have seen some posts here, that one day npcs will be avail for hire to help get through dungeons but I have NO idea if that's correct or official so take that statement with a grain of saltl!!!
I hope one day they will allow solo entry with no sync in old content like wow and many other mmos have done, if it happens it happens, if not then that's ok too for me :)

"Q: In a previous magazine interview you commented that you want to have dungeons that can be soloed. Will this ever make its way into the game?
A: While we do not have any plans to add a new dungeon meant for soloing, we’re currently looking into making it so the current dungeons geared towards light parties can be undertaken solo.
Additionally, while this is still in the planning phase, we’ve been tossing around an idea to make it so you can form your own military unit under your Grand Company, recruit subordinate NPCs, and then take them to dungeons to train them."
I've seen other MMO's do this too. The one that quickly springs to my head is Guild Wars. For as long as I've played that game, players have ALWAYS been able to recruit NPC allies to bring into dungeons with them. It got expanded to include customizable NPC heroes as well that you could arrange the skill bars of and level up, and even order them to use specific skills, like how SMN's in this game order their pets to do specific things. It then got later expanded that you could recruit additional characters on your own account as NPC allies.
So... in answer to the question of both the OP and others here, it's not official yet. The developers are currently only talking about it, with no plans to put it in yet as far as I'm aware. Doesn't change the fact that they did bring it up, and mentioned that they are tossing around the idea of the possibility of NPC allies in the future for dungeon raids. -

I had a similar idea, not about dungeons, but about the mounts/companions. I thought it would be cool if each mount had a class, similar to the monster allies in XIII-2. Like the Goobbue could be a healer, the Drake could be a tank, the Wolf could be a dps, etc, this could help both on the field and in dungeons. Think about it, if a party member quits they can be hard to replace, especially tanks and healers, so just calling on a companion would help you by not having to rely on the duty roulette. The companions could even be soldiers from the GC, and we could design them like retainers too.

I think this should be doable in a capacity that perhaps you can use retainers (because they can already have classes) to fill in spots so they can sort of be like hired dungeon help as has been done in other games. However it shouldn't be easy and you'd need some pretty intricate AI for it to really be effective/useful. Pretty much to the point that we're allowed to manually adjust it.

I just suggest monsters as minions ai to give them more then just mere animations that follow you, while making it easier for a solo person to do a dungeon if they wish.Quote:
