Immortal Flames (Not So) PVP Secret Revealed.

Im sure theres a lot of this happening, but grats to IF for figuring out the totally broke mechanic first haha.

But this probably needs addressing.

It was not really rocket science to figure out.

Yet SE overlooked it, oh dear.

Yeah, pretty much everyone who's doing slaughter knows this is what Mael, and Flames do. Stack casters, and LB the heck out of everything.

are you sure?

This is due to experience and the server group you're on. I'm playing on Ragnarok and our pvp is pretty balanced to be honest so not "everyone knows" your strife :P

Pretty balanced? Got 34 fights this week and atleast 60% of them won Immortals, but that is just my case. Not saying that it cannot be different for others.
Anyways I almost never get hit by LB and I believe we mostly lose because we suck (Twin Adders). Nothing forces us from having lots of BLMs too.

My record sheet this week is something like:

1st: 13
2nd: 8
3rd: 11

(this is where i got my balanced statement from)

I'm with the immortals. Lemme tell you though, we ain't winning through LB bombardment, there's alot of morons in the immortals xD

As for twin adders, I kited a MNK from twin adders. He actually followed me til he died xD

But then again I did the same with two members of maelstrom, they were stupid enough to follow me away from their healer ;)

I said, i guess its all about time of day too.. yesterday everytime i got into secure 8v8v8 there was the same party of 4 people in full AF and lv43 NQ accs.. and they would not listen to anyone and do their own thing.. we just got slaughtered, so i just took secure out of my search for a couple of hours, let them have their fun lol. I aint against new people coming in, heck i am still new myself.. but on 8v8v8 to just ignore the team who is trying to work together and handing our asses out, thats not good heh

Heh agreed, my first thought after reading the first posts was "so the Players developed Artillery? Sweet!" :p

All 3 sides can stack BLMs, it's not like the flames got exclusive rights to those.

From experience, other GCs have so many random applying players that they always have to wait for flames to apply. Usually when flames apply, it's on premades like the one shown in the video, and they get insta queue pop. Premade queues on other GCs are nearly impossible to get in, waiting 1~2+ hours. Solo queues are the way to get in faster, then you can't control who you get and what classes. Even if you ask or suggest certain set ups, they ignore it and prefer having 4 tanks in a single party, duh.

The queues on Aether flames are also very long. Very very long. And the flames also have the bad setups, with tanks that don't put up an oath or people in like ilvl50 gear. I have more HP then the tanks sometimes.

Don't worry folks, there are many players that defend Cometeor spam. They say it takes skill to do and you should be dodging it anyway!

Sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

Adders/Maelstrom dominated Secure early on because they have healer classes in their GCs.

It only makes sense Mael/Flames win Slaughter because of SMN/BLM.

And BLM is more popular.

the joy of bombarding Bards with tunnel vision on the node is priceless.

What's awesome is, the giant node on the middle is the easiest way to rack up kills/total damage dealt. AoE rotation with the middle node as the focus will kill many if you triple flare.

I'm pretty sure coordinating and stacking Cometeor isn't something exclusive to the Immortal Flames. Any team can do it.

But flames has been the team notoriously known for making premades of all BLM/SMN/healer parties and doing it

Not true, we take a healer and a tank! Sometimes we even only use 3 mages and get 20+ kills per mage and 10+ for all other dps/tank. <__< that coordination too strong.

That wasn't the issue :P so they have fixed nothing. People think the cast time is the issue but if your slept w/o purify what then >_>? How will you dodge the 3 oncoming cometeors coming down?

Good blm will sleep/bind their targets before LBing. If you don't break the cc yourself, you're getting hit.
