Before complaining about "early pullers", consider the following:

Hunts are back. Huzzah! With them, all the super funsie fun time 'drama' over people pulling early. In the majority of cases though, little to no blame falls (or should fall) on the puller.

• The person might not be pulling early. The people not making it in time are simply late, and the fault lies with them for doing so.

• The person pulling didn't zerg it down in 10 seconds flat. That fault lies with everyone else, and if it was really such an early pull, there would not be enough manpower to do so.

Anyways, just a bit of food for thought. And remember: Whenever you point a finger at someone, you're pointing 3 more back at yourself.

I agree 100% Mr./Mrs. Pi

I remember one time when we found the mark. We stopped and gave the location to the LS and everyone in the area and waited until a lot of people showed up. It took about 4 minutes for about 4 full parties to show up and we pulled and killed the mark. We gave the notice and someone shouted "Thanks for waiting you dipshits" and began talking shit about everyone.

You could wait 20 minutes before pulling and someone will still cry and say that you pulled early. :/

From listening to all of the drama, especially around Mor Dhona the best solution:

- When the hunt is announced you have five minutes to get there before you are considered late.
- Letting people in the area know about the impending pull with a time like 'pulling in one minute' is helpful.
- If fools jump in before the 5min pull time let them fight it solo and see how they do; this would be difficult to enforce.

night time hunts are the best.......I literally had time to hold conversation with some people while we waited and we were all so genuine like a mini alliance doing hunting a night it was about 20-30 of us and we each searched and spoke in LS ....then 8am hit...... yeah

this pulled early stuff is the stupid problem with hunts.

Pulled early = you did not wait for my friends to finish beating the last boss of WoD to pull X A rank mob wtf!

My Guild following a simple rule on pulling. We wait 3mins after it is called out then we pull it. That simple. If people consider that early pulling so be it then we early pull. That is more then enough time to get anywhere in the game from any where else in the game.

A guy in a LS I was in would announce the mark to all his channels...when it was @ 30%. Needless to say he wasn't very well liked. lol

I was surprised by how civil things were on Hyperion today. Marks were called out in linkshells, a big crowd would gather and we'd pull. Didn't see any nasty shouts, didn't see any bickering, nothing... just people being patient and helpful toward their fellow gamers. Was pretty cool!

Hopefully, it stays this way. Judging by these boards, Hyperion seemed to offer one of the nicer atmospheres for hunts.

That's a great, fair "rule" you guys have adopted. If everyone did the same, I don't think there would be much complaining (except from people who'd find ways to complain about anything).

Before you could upgrade one left side part with 750 allied seals and now you need 3000 allied seals. Even if reward is 2x more than it was before, you still need 2x more effort than what it was before.

Still a blessing for anyone trying to get allied seals for alexandrite.

Some guy on my server today went insane over ranting about "early pullers" and wanted hunt linkshells to "control" them somehow. I mean I understand his frustration but I can't think of a way to put people on a leash or anything.. Anyway he then decided that the best course of action over being too late for hunts was to leave the hunt linkshell. Brilliant. I'm sure he'll make it there on time now.

if you can down it reasonable fast without caring much about the mechanics of the S rank, it was definitely not an early pull. If you arrive and half of the ppl are dead and the mob is tanked by a sch, then you know ppl should have waited...

still pointing at someone, just cause you are frustrated won't give you anything.

If everyone realized that 99% of cases they think someone pulled earlier they just were too slow, that would be nice.
And nope, I am not an "early puller" tbh I have been hunting for some time but I never pulled, as BRD I leave these things to tanks.

If people really desperate for seals they will do their daily hints every day and don't b list people because you weren't able to kill mark how sad must your life be to do this in a game wow just wow.

I was removed from the hunt LS I was in, I don't know why :(.

Now I never make it in time...

I guess you guys are lucky with your LSs.. Plenty of times, like often enough it's a very legitimate concern every single call, I will get the call, immediately head to the mark, and arrive to it dying or dead. This is not me being slow. I know how to navigate maps and usually good at locations if multiple aetherytes.

The only "fault" I'm at in these times is not being lucky enough to be in your LS. To claim I was being slow is ignorant.

How early is early?

A paladin pulled the S-rank in Mor Dhona when there was just one full party of us there.

We wiped. S-rank reset.

Edit: Paladin wasn't in our party. He was with just one healer. Yes, he did throw his shield at the boss and started his rotation on it, it wasn't an accidental pull.

As I said in another post, do not ask people to shout in towns if you are going to pull early, that's the kind of crap I hate.
I used to try and go to them and they would be dead and always heard it was a accident.

Why I stopped listening to shouts, it happened yesterday, I was doing the moogle mailman quest it so happened to be in same area someone shouted a hunt, I seen like 10 people teleport to same area asking for invites and they said dead even before the pop time.

I heard a lot of people cussing and pissed off and I said to myself damn lucky I gave up on town shouts almost seems like a troll move.

I honestly wonder if some of you folks even do hunts... People who (legitimately) complain about "early pulls", it's because the mark is pulled I kid you not within 60 seconds of being found (less than half the time, a generous 90 seconds elapses before pull from the first person who arrived). On my server, we rarely waited more than 4-5 minutes to pull pre-2.5 after the mark was found, because it just doesn't take that long to get there. But nowadays, PC player with SSD going directly to the mark right after it was found will over 70% of the time just not get there before it's dead if it's an A rank.

Obviously people doing something other than being in pre-formed PT looking for hunts shouldn't expect anyone to wait. But like, if hunts is all you're doing, it's pretty crazy to see stuff die in the distance while you're frantically running to it. I've missed stuff when I was literally in the same zone as the mark when it spawned, and was less than 30 seconds away from it.

I mean, I guess I don't really care, because I get a ludicrous amount of seals anyway due to having a lot of play time and patience, but uh, it still seems like bad design.

Not a problem for me. Completely done with hunts for the foreseeable future. Turned off shouts so I can't see the early pull rage. Completely ridiculous imbalance created by hunts.

Pulling early as in, I am in the stinking zone when it gets called out, I go there right away after saying to hold on. and its dead by the time I get there. At least wait 5-7 mins before pulling but nope that's asking too much.

I mean I HAVE to get there ya know, I can't just teleport to the NM!

People already barely waited 5 min for an A rank before, cause not many showed up, at most 30 people. Any A rank is killable by a light party, but it takes some time.

Now even if you're in the zone, even if you're the finder, the hunt is gonna die less than 60 sec after it get discovered. Hunts don't live more than 30 sec after they get pulled now.

Good luck PS3 users with your loading time LMFAO

The problem I've noticed is that the hunt mobs are disappearing again due to so many player characters. I had thought they said they fixed this but perhaps it was simply due to less interest in hunts causing the issue to resolve itself. I see pulls more often than not when the mob disappears and everyone panics and runs towards it.

I don't participate in the zerg rush and all that but 5-7 mins to get from anywhere in any zone to anywhere else in the same zone (or heck, even in a different zone) is a little much... I mean, you can run complete circles around the edges of most zones in that time o.O

I personally think that hunts should be for those who are actually hunting in the zone at the time. That way, for the most part, there's less of a zerg and there is actually a fight (instead of everyone other than the tanks just spamming AoE heals for no reason, they actually participate) and the people who put in the effort get the rewards. That seems like how it was supposed to be. Waiting for more than a minute after the recommended number of people have turned up (24 for an S rank, less for an A) is just destroying the content.

Don't people want the nice gear so that they can go and challenge themselves with it? Why then take the least challenging route to get there?

The shinies really are all that matter? What, so people will look at you and go "You're pweddy!"? *SMH* That's what glamours are for, to look pretty. Half the people that get them will actually cover them up with glamours so you can't even see their shinies.

So is it pride that you earned the shinies? The zerg isn't earning anything, it's just standing there spamming medica and ignoring the fight.

Or is it the numbers, the stats? Unless you're running Coil and the like, iLvl 110 gear can get you though anything quite handily so the madness still serves no purpose.

Seriously, all this rage and most people aren't even thinking about what they want or why. A moment's introspection could save most people a lot of suffering that they are causing for themselves. The hunts are not as important as they seem just because they exist, nor just because they are open world.

They're important if they serve a purpose to you personally.

If they do that, then great!

If they don't, maybe rethink things again. There are other things to do.

There are very few reasons to get so angry at this optional side content. Getting geared up in all the greatest stuff won't make content that actually requires such gear come any sooner.
