Just as the title says how do you guys thinks the system will be when it gets implemented, in my Op i think will be like this:
Just like FFXI, class will be like a subjob, they say that you cant cross class with jobs, so just to make an example if you are a dragoon, in this case the obvious subjob would be lancer, you can only use the abbilities that lancer gives you besides the abbilities that dragoon gives to you by unlocking them, so in a way you would be a better damage dealer but wouldnt be able to solo as you do with lancer,
with black mage is the same you get to have all the conjurer spells and new ones or more powerful ones but cant cure anyone, because you are supposed to be a damage dealer mage, as paladin you get to use gladiators abbilities and get a few cure spells, enhance deffense abbilities but with less damage than gladiator, etc.
if a representative can help us giving us a few hints would be great.

it will probably work exactly as you describe except that the jobs are enhanced version of the class and not a job/subjob relation, giving us special job abilities and enhance some of the base class abilities while preventing you from using other abilities.
Also, I think they will give special job traits, like for exemple faster MP regen for White Mages, Enhance Defense for paladin, etc.
And I want to point out, even though I know you are just making exemples, that CON will most likely unlock White Mage and not Black Mage. They do have all the cure spells including curaga along with status ailments cures like poisona, silena and paralyna. I know they got the nukes as well but THM just cannot be a White Mage with sacrifice. Unless they do a major overhaul with those 2 classes. -

It's more of a specialization, or role rather. Classes are for weapon proficiency which lead to learning skills. Jobs will be, as they sound, an announcement of what role you will play in a party.
By equipping a job, you will essentially specialize by gaining job-specific skills, being able to wear job-specific armor, and being limited in what cross class abilities you can equip. -
