VIT or STR Poetic Accessories?

So i'm not sure what to get, STR or VIT? Got my Full I120 left side for Paladin.
Not sure what to go as, i mainly go almost full STR (100/110) for pretty much most content, unless i go to coils or primals where my DMG has less of an impact and i rather have some more HP to make it easier for the healers.

Opinions?

you plan on doing final coil? if so, get VIT Poetic Accs. Other wise , it not really matter.
3rd option would be craft Accs with VIT/STR Meld. <prolly the best option if you have enough money.

I will stick with VIT Poetic for now as I doing MT on T13, prolly swap some our for STR piece later on. (I don't have money for Crafting Accs so ;S)

The Tank accessories drop in T10 and T11 which gives anyone raiding easy access to them. (RNG though) The only turn that people use said VIT accessories is T13. Most raiders will have an i90 set.

I got the Poetic i130 ring and I'm done with right side VIT. Going full STR accessories after I get Ironwork axe. STR accessories I'm 3rd in line for so it will be a while until I get i130 coil drops, so the i120 STR accessories will get very good use on 90% of the content out there.

I would say get STR you can use them in most of the sames content where as the VIT is good for a single instance atm.

The only VIT one worth buying is the ring.

If you want to use STR on your Tank, you should either replace Bonus attributes or get crafted accessories. You should never outright replace VIT accessories with STR accessories unless you literally don't plan on Tanking anything or the fight is so trivial that HP is barely even necessary.

This is because of ratios.

-Replacing bonus attributes gains 1 STR for 1 VIT.
-Using craftables gains 65 STR for 60 VIT(when compared to i130 VIT gear).
-Replacing one VIT accessory for STR gives 23 STR for 27 VIT.

The long story short is that if you want to find your balance of STR vs. VIT, it's a bad idea to lose more VIT than your gains in STR.

I only bought the Vit ring. Figured FCoB will hold me over until the 110 accessories are out.

Personally, I don't see why not have both to switch out. It isn't like the Unweathered Gloam trinkets are just pieces of crap now, and since VIT is so important in some aspect, spend your poetics on Ironworks VIT. You'll still get quite a bit of STR from Gloam accessories too, and they are really easy to come by now. Feel free to mix and match them too this way, and once you have your full VIT set of Ironworks, go for full set of STR, starting with the ring of course. I'm pushing 200 dps as a PLD with the Gloam trinkets too, so it's not like it's just chopped liver as soon as the new ilvl raises by 20. How many tanks were clearing FCoB with mostly ilvl 110 pieces first week?

Erm. If you plan on doing FCoB at all, I wouldn't buy a full set of Ironworks VIT jewelry.

yea its waste especially since t10/t11 got all of them

I agree, the Dreadwyrm stuff is really good, but I assumed he was just talking about accessories he can get with tomes or gil. By all means, if you can get all the Dreadwyrm accessories, get them!~!~!

Edit: After some more research, I have to add that if you're looking to max Parry while trying to not hinder your accuracy too much (Accuracy cap for T13is 558 according to wiki) The Ironworks are actually really good. Each one of them has parry to begin with, when the dreadwyrm necklace, earrings, and ring don't, and the Ironworks bracelet has 15 Parry + 22 Accuracy, while the Dreadwyrm has 22 Parry + 11 Determination, so which one you use is really up to what you're going up against. Personally, I'll probably go for both bracelets and depending on the accuracy cap, switch them out. But, I don't really see a reason not to have ALL THE PIECES!

Yeah, there's no reason at all not to have them if you want them. Too many people consider Parry to be just so, so bad without realizing that Secondary Stats as a whole barely do anything at all. It really doesn't matter what stat(s) you stack, so go nuts :)

Yeah, as long as you're accuracy capped for the current content you can just buy Ironworks VIT accessories. The Dread stuff is better simply because it's default i130, but if you're not in FCoB, need the extra VIT, and not getting them because of Parry then you're being a bit misguided. That said, if you're not in FCoB you likely won't need the VIT stuff, but it really depends on what amount of HP you feel comfortable at. Find your sweet spot and invest the rest in STR. Or just pile on VIT if you'd like. It's really all on you.

Exactly. For me, or at least in my mind, even if Parry isn't a massive difference, it's a defensive sub stat, and even if it's just a little increase in my parry rate, it's something. Accuracy comes in right behind it for me (The whole motto of if you miss, you don't generate any agro anyways). I can see people wanting Determination possibly, or even Skill Speed, but those don't weigh as heavily on me as a tank unless I'm looking to do more DPS, in which case, NONE of the tanking trinkets are good, since I'm looking for STR trinkets anyways. Further, in the case of looking to DPS, I'd have an entirely different left side set up too.

Yeah, I see Dreadwyrm being better in terms of it coming already upgraded, but if the amount of work needed to put in is the reason for anyone's decision, then it just feels a little bit lazy to me to just settle for something only because it's easier to get.

As for my gear choices in different situations, here's what I'd consider my 2 sets of gear, one for heavy tanking, the other for higher damage. I personally chose the most defensive aspects for my relic weapon (Parry 1st, Accuracy 2nd). These are assuming also that all Ironworks are Augemented.
