suggestion to STOP gillspammers

ok so..i love FFXIV just want to say so before i start. this is one of my favorite MMO to play.

in saying this i would like to pose a few suggestions to STOP gill spammers. these are as follows..

1. make it possible for players to sell in game what they buy on the website mog station store. in effect this balances some (probably not all) of the in game economy, people with real world money that dont know how to make gil are able to by buying items from the mog station! (Square enix still makes money!)

2. make a loyalty system. this means if you play the game (complete daily quests, hunts ect) you receive a number of loyalty tickets/points/whatever. and you can spend these in the mog station market for loyalty items (this could be anything dye/gil/minions).

i love this game..but something needs to be done about the spammers..i hope that someone legitimately reads this post!

i dont see why they care so much if people that buy items from the store sell them for gil..they are making money either way and lossing money by NOT allowing it..the gil spammers are getting worse and worse..its ever 5 seconds on my server.
the loyalty system is a good idea as well. i wish someone from square would read this.

why wouldnt you do something to TRY AND SOLVE it.

Go reread that post. It's politely worded, but the problem isn't that people are selling them, the problem is the incessant stink people are putting up about it.

I don't think the ''loyalty'' system is a great idea. What are they loyal to ? Peopel who buy from the cash shop are ''loyal paying customers''? Placing dye and items in the cash shop is indeed as stated so many threads before this , a easy dollar for SE. Selling said items in the game has nothing to do with SE, if they nix this however the increase in people buying them will be cut. Who would buy 2 more braclets if they can't sell them for 5 mil a piece? SE will ride this wave for a while *grab your board

Ok, from the original post that started this thread, the suggestion has completely derailed. Allow me to simplify and reiterate please.

RE: Eternal bonding - Wedding package purchase gives both wristlets to person who bought it in a packages, plus an item that starts a quest, the completion of that quest allows the wristlet to be traded once to allow both to have one. the eternal bonding SHOULD NOT be a Gil sale exploit, and the small change i just listed would prevent that.

RE: Gil Sellers - To take vanity items only, ie Dyes Mount, and Minions that they already have in the mog station store, and make them tradable, the people who keep the gil spammers in business have an alternate way to do what they are gonna do anyways, the farmers leave FF XIV because they no longer get business, and the rest of us who despise Gil Farmers are allowed to play the game with out having to see add messages spammed repeatedly until our blacklist is full.

RE: Loyalty System - Figure something out. Something that allows the players who log in and play every day to earn vanity items for their dedication. It's more of a Thank You for the Loyal players, and would be appreciated.

If farmers no longer get business then what are we spending our gil on ?

You don't make gil off having gil? Actually the more gil floating our there the more farmers would make.....Do you think people will just sit on the 10 million they just made ? No they will go buy things with it ?

Easy way to stop the gil spamming is to not have players buy gil !!!!.
If there is no demand there will be no market.

(1) Some people play for the vanity. Not fair to them if the good stuff is behind a paywall.

(2) Farmers didn't leave AION when cash shop stuff was tradable.

Thank you guys for your responses, and to answer your questions:

ZhycranaDranix: When I say Farmers, I am referring to the people who farm Gil in game, and then sell it to players for real life currency, not the people who farm out materials in the game and sell them for Gil on the MB.

Meklore: Not possible to mind control the players and make the lazy/time restricted players not buy Gil for a short cut, follow your /em

NoF2P: Vanity items are for looks, like the Metallic Dyes. Have them tradable from mog station purchase, but also have them acquirable in game through retainer services like some already are, that way there is no pay wall. As for the AION issue, this is FF XIV.

Also, Would like to Add as a suggestion: additional chat options and an increase in number of people that can be black listed would be handy, and make it easier to ignore the Gil Spammers.

As well: An in game loyalty system that is untouchable by Gil Spammers, and rewards the fans/players for their hard work and dedication would be beneficial I think. Still rewarding with vanity items for the character or their Room/House, as to not make a person OP in any situation.

to clarify a loyalty system unlike the reward for having an active account. instead it is reward (points/tickets/rep whatever) for time actually PLAYING the game daily quests/ objectives. and special items (not game changers) that you can only get by actively playing the game.

There's no way for SE to track who's actually playing the game at the moment though, considering they can't even pick out the bots. So, with this a player could leave the game running doing nothing and still rake in loyalty rewards.

There are some people that have completed all of the content in the game and there's nothing left to do but daily quests from beast tribes and alternate class gear/relic farm, which gets very tedious, so I don't see how they would make this work if it rewards based on progression as well.

in my mind, the entire solution is to add a right-click report gil spammer
