I Want To Take The Eternal Bonding But...

The female who I would have wanted to take the ceremony with has not played the game since August and has no intention of returning to the game prior to the release of Heavensward and I have not found someone else who I could take the ceremony with on my server.

So I would like to ask Square Enix if it would be possible for those who are interested in taking the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding but haven't found someone to get some assistance. My suggestion would be to have an extension of the Eternal Bond website that can serve in a similar manner to the various matchmaking websites out there and match players to each other that they may be able to make a strong enough of a connection that they want to take the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding.

This is a good idea, at least I think so and I really want to have the chance to take the ceremony before Heavensward takes over from Realm Reborn.

alternatively, you could put up a party finder or shout in mor dhona.. or post on one of the 20 popular fan sites forums like bluegartr, etc, or tweet the ffxiv_en acct and try to get more exposure there.. i don't think se will make a site because they kinda want it to have been something you two people did together, also, it doesn't have to be a girl. do a private non attended ceremony with your best bud. there's no kissing in the cutscenes that i saw.

also you could just wait for her.. kind of romantic, and you can buy the wristlet of devotion for her (you can buy more than one and trade it to her when she logs in.) that is, se doesn't make it non tradeable because of jerks.. yeah not going into that here. best of luck!

My guild leader wants to marry me but I need someone who plays often since I consider this eternal bonding to be something as of "Hey let's play together most of the time!" kind of deal. Mixed with fun roleplay romance :3

BUT nobody meets the criteria of playing as much as I do TwT

I've been doing a lot of PF parties and making friends. I want to at least know I can get along with the person. Random hooking up is pointless at least for my goals with this wedding stuff. :P

I mean that I want the person I hook up with to be my designated gaming partner in final fantasy. Meaning we play together most of the time. What I meant by pointless is that if I hooked up with someone random instead of being around the person for awhile, we may not be compatible as gaming partners or just not get along (personality clashes etc).

They should have a service for the singles so they can marry their hand! Nah, just messing with ya. I think we're starting to venture from fantasy MMO to Second Life furry futt bucking with this. It isn't a match making service, it's just a game, and this aspect is completely optional.

Lol they should do this match-making thing when Gold Saucer comes out and have a small chapel. It'll be like FFXIV's version of getting married in Las Vegas.

Probably because no one wants to pay for themselves and another person. Only people who are taking the marriage thing seriously would be willing to pay for their partner.

That's the other hard part. If people aren't willing to pay for both parties, you got people who don't want to pay at all. There's also the possibility of people being scammed.

Well its not really fair for one person to pay for both. Some people might want to gift it to their friend but others like me want to only pay for my share.
