Anyone really excited about this? I've seen it in the distance many times, and always wondered what it's like inside. I thought it maybe could be a dungeon eventually, and now that it is... what are you guys expecting? :o

For it be very easy.
I absolutely can't wait! I'm really digging the XIV storyline so far and I wanna see what's in the damn lake.
Hopefully its a dungeon where we climb our way up to the top of the Agrius wreckage and then fight a "Midgardsomr Prime" since hes supposed to be awakening again ? :D
Least one can dream...
One can dream, yup! I'm wondering whether or not we actually do get some sort of primal - perhaps not in primal form, but another summon like we did in Snowcloak + Lost City of Ampador? It may sound odd, but I think it'd be amazing to see Anima in there (fat chances of that happening, though.) But I'm sure the last boss of the entire place will be somewhat sinister... here's hoping.
but Why Amdapor and Wanderer Palace HM?
WHY ALL THESE <50 DUNGEON SKIP.
I want Aurum Vale HM!!!! (said no one ever)
I'm hoping they don't move down the current expert and just add to it. I'm sick of doing the same 2 Experts everyday. Ya I know there is 3 but I only got 1 of them 2 times.
True, with Diabolos and Fenrir.. I was going to say the same thing until I saw your post. Honostly this fight should be on the level of coil boss's sense hes suppose to be this big epic dragon right..
I keep thinking how they could bring back the original toto rak from 1.0 that one was really cool. They could even keep the three boss option, and maybe even throw in the 5 chest reward if you do everything your suppose to. That would be neat, but a pipe dream I know.
Where have you guys heard about the new dungeons?

We're also missing Cutter's Cry HM. I was really expecting to get Cutter's Cry HM, and Toto-Rak HM for this patch. The other two - Dze + Aurum Vale, could come with the expansion since they're in Coerthas anyway. I'm just shocked they'd even make AK + WP hard mode dungeons, since we have those at lvl 50 anyway ... sigh. Still, I think they'll be good.
Since it's an airship that crashed, we're not supposed to be able to stand and wander inside.Quote:

Thus, the donjon may just be a cave under the lake and the boss is at the foot of the Agrius.
Or they'll tinker the story, saying some people inhabit the ruins and nobody have seen them until now.
Agrius crew survivors and potential magitek units turned into demons upon Midgardsomr "nuke" death ? :D
By nuke, i mean that kind of gigantic aetherial explosion he does when he dies in 1.0 intro, it seems to generate creatures and even Ifrit and Titan ( we see them flying by that derplander freefalling) so why not "turning" the Garleans trapped within the Agrius, theyre pretty much on ground zero after all.
I hope they drop sexy original armor designs like the 2.3 dungeons did.
Didn't it crash like fifteen years prior to the start of 2.0? I can't imagine there are still people inhabiting the ship after all of that time.
I'm guessing that there will be a lot of wyrms, or at least a wyrm boss. I have a feeling that Midgardsormr will be a major part of 3.0's storyline, so if anything we may just be there to wake him up.
I keep getting this Arthurian legend image in my head. A female hand rising out of the lake holding a sword. Fighting a hand as the boss probably wouldn't be much fun...but at any rate...I'm stoked for Keeper of the Lake.
Exactly that, Drako. I would love some iteration of 1.0 Toto-rak, where it was more in-depth than the current. Have different paths of difficulty to get the maximum chests offered. And if I remember correctly, you had to also open up certain treasure chests (pretty sure not ALL the chests, or you miss out on final ones), and do it under a certain time limit. That was a lot of fun to run through. I'd love to have something like THAT in dungeons again, where it just wasn't so kill trash mobs and make your way forward to one boss.
I hope they don't make Midgardsomer a dungeon boss. That dragon deserves his own raid.
Aurum Vale HM= no thanks
I hate that dungeon with a passion, lol
Maybe a Cutter's HM? That could be fun
I hope they do something with this place along the lines of CM, or Prat (an 8 man story dungeon) Would make sense since it seems to be integral to this stage of the main story.
I predicted the Agrius would become a dungeon sometime in the future, so I'm not surprised. My only worry is that its going to be a total faceroll like Snowcloak due to it being a story requirement.
Kind of glad we are going back to AK and WP though, since those dungeons are basically shells of their former selves, especially AK. Almost everything in Amdapor Keep was nerfed to the ground, on top of overgearing the dungeon by a significant amount. Here's hoping they are actually hard and not pushovers.
not really excited for new dungeons anymore, they make them too easy unfortunately.:(
I really hope they open up new areas of AK in the HM dungeon and continue the story/lore behind Amdapor, white magic and the war of the magi.
If recent history is any indication, I do hope that all 3 dungeons tightly regulate the party's pace. Some Demimateria (or T4 Materia, for that matter) in the coffers would also be nice. Going back to TonberryLand is a bit scary, though. For all we know, all of them may have Everyone's Grudge this time around. EDIT: We might also have to pay some gil to have the rancor cleared (anyone who's played XI knows what I'm talking about).
It'll probably be pretty, but also pretty easy. And it'll have crap drops.
Pharos Sirius was only a problem because it dropped the same junk the other, much easier dungeons that were added in the same patch dropped, the same amount of tomes as well, and because it was put in the same roulette. If Pharos had dropped different/better stuff than the other dungeons it wouldn't have received so many complaints.
And what, in your opinion, makes coil so special that it's immune to this whining you're so sure would happen? Why are people not complaining that they're getting locked out of current coil gear?
People don't hate challenges. People hate pointless challenges - if there's a path of less resistance offering the same rewards, that's what they'll flock to. Make more 4 man dungeons, some easy, some difficult, put them in different roulettes, make them drop different loot and people will be happy to have new content.
Put the challenging dungeons in the same roulette, make them drop the same crap they could get more easily, and people will instead complain that dungeon X is too hard, because Y is easier and rewarded just the same.
Imagine if FCoB dropped the same crap Syrcus Tower drops. How many people would like going to FCoB then? People need a carrot on a stick, then they'll happily face a challenge, but if there's an easier option to get the same reward, they won't.
Hopefully a place without walls every pack of 3 mobs
