My wishlist:

• Less hardcore content and less PVP.
• Romance Quests for NPCs.
• Chemist / Musketeer / etc.
• More content for small, less than 20 people, FCs.
• Novus requires less materia or no materia and instead only alexandrites.

BRD swiftcast for songs :) thats all i want ^^

DPS meter (with healing/overhealing and tank mitigation meters built in) and of course the thing every single person wants: Samurai. xD

I am very interested in getting the dragoon weather vane from the Heavensward Trailer.

Though there are lots of things I'd like to see added, i would appreciate a reworking of the alchemy job and system. Right now it is amazingly lackluster, the only reason I can see to level alchemist is for the augmented AF gear, but even those augmentations sell very rarely on my server.

They kinda are adding less hardcore content, the live letter said there would be Casual>Semi Hardcore>Hardcore :)

At this point I don't really care what it is, as long as it's "more".
Wanting "less" is anathema to me.

Am I the only one who doesn't think that's a weathervane, instead seeing that as an actual DRG standing on a spire emulating Kain's pose from the FFIV logo?

It's most certainly not going to happen but...by god, it was so smooth and sexy.

-Improved/less restrictive Cross Class customization. This is kind of a staple of the job system and I'd like it to be a little more meaningful, especially if we can't spec or anything otherwise. The skill selection and skill quality is currently pretty underwhelming.
-Elimination of classes. Use only jobs, please.
-More control over gear stats. It'd be nice if we could use materia for this provided the system is reorganized not to be such a PITA. (but that's a topic for a different thread)
-Reduction of core features locked behind obscure quests and attunements. Basically stuff like materia melding, the challenge log and dungeon/raid access. It's getting to the point where you need a guide to unlock everything. It's ridiculous.
-Removal of skills locked behind job quests. You already know why this is restrictive and stupid--you can't add skills without adding new job quests. I mean, seriously. It's not going to scale :|.
-An overhaul of your quest design for the main story. Too many breadcrumb quests. Too much filler. Look to Hildibrand for the sort of pacing you should be aiming for. And for the love of God, brevity is the soul of wit. Stop with the textbox spamming.

Isn't *all* content for less than 20 people?

I mean the largest event is 24 people, I suppose. But who forms full alliances for ST regularly?

Endgame content is based around statics of 8 players. Honestly, any endgame FC whose members are not a multiple of 8 is leaving someone out...

-Warrior can become a dps berserker instead of tank that be nice I have a freaking Great Axe for crying out loud >.>

Skillchains between players worked in somehow (really miss them from FFXI), maybe tie in if everyone has unique limit break bars?

I doubt this would come to pass as a lot of the FFXI 1-2 hours are either in game already or impossible.
For example: Benediction, Soul (Battle) Voice, Perfect Dodge, and Astral (aether) flow are already in; Spirit Surge, Mikage, Tabula Rasa, and many others are flatout impossible, and Mijin-Gakure is just a bad idea due to trolls.
Most of these abilities are simply on long cooldowns, which is the single-player version of LBs. The cooldowns are just about 5 minutes or less instead of an hour.

Please bring back massive labyrinyths like defulkts tower from xi where you could go explore but if you weren't careful as you progressed you could die easily because the place was filled with high level monsters that could one or 2 shot if you didn't have a party.
Then bring back the mini puzzles you had like paint brush in the temple and make it so that I could easily get lost if I didn't have a map and make said map of place hard to get. That's what's missing from FFXIV

Ooh ooh. Yes. we need more world dungeons. Right now the closest thing we have are the beast areas, but it'd be great if we had others.

They stated that airship batttles will only be in the main scenario and not for anything else. Which is a shame cause I feel that this is a good idea waiting to happen. Imagine if one of the S ranks in Heavensward required you to fly an airship multiple times before finding it, similar to the Deathgaze mark in FFXII.

I would like the ability to toggle glows on my weapons though.

I rewatched the video to investigate this further (and mostly just to watch it again). I'm pretty sure it's still a weathervane, but you're absolutely right. In the brief clip (even while paused), you really can't see enough scale or depth to say for sure. It does look a LOT like a real person.

There is no way that is a weather vane. It is the pose they have had Dragoons in for all the promotional and desktop backgrounds. Hell, it is basically the additional combat pose we have for Dragoon currently. It just makes sense for a Dragoon to be at the highest point in order to jump a dragon.

But if they were going to make a DRG weathervane, of course they would use the classic DRG pose for it. Besides, when was the last time you saw a DRG get engulfed in flames instead of moving? ;)

Whether it's a weathervane or a real person, a DRG weathervane would be awesome, and I want one for my house.

Lower level for access to glamour. I think I'd be able to get more friends to play with a lower level requirement on glamour.

Awesome chocobo raising that helps generate that actual feeling of care, that and customization - not only color and pattern options but breeding distinct visual chocobo traits (like the fluffy feathers of FFXIII).

Tessellation fun with DX11 enhancements, get that ocean moving (tessellation not really needed for that, but '3d moar stuff' ^^ lol).

Cooler looking Egis.... not asking 1:1 primal but.. please? They're so cute in size, that's fine for being portable, but at least void walker upgrade me at some point in this or the next expansion - the competing mmos are not even this conservative ;_; lol

Carbuncles for SMN (or any end-game viable class; as long as it's a ranged DPS that uses magic - OK that really narrows it down doesn't it. :p)

Better anti-aliasing than blur-O-vision FXAA. Maybe what they used in Infamous: Second Son which I heard gave pretty good image quality.

My list of things:

-More horizontal gear progression/added effects on equipment.
-More interesting side stats that allow for more customization
- Shorter raid lockout timers (7 days is far too punishing)
- Dangerous open world with regular trash actually having unique loot tables and rare loot drops (world drop loot) from even regular trash in the world and dungeons. Raid trash also having the ability to drop rare tradeable gear that is comparable to entry level raid gear.
- World Bosses and high level trash mobs to allow spiritbonding even the highest level gear on in open world. Stop forcing players to enter for everything. The world is bare thanks to that.
- Longer raids with duty timer completely removed and more than 4 bosses
- More than one raid that drops useful gear.
- Difficult non-raid dungeons that drop gear that is useful for getting raid ready and rare drops from every boss in dungeons to make the dungeon more rewarding or at least worth running compared to what is now.
- Add a token currency that is only dropped in raids to help purchase raid gear to keep unlucky players from going empty-handed from raids for extended periods. / More than 2 equipment drops from each boss per kill. Since, we're adding even more jobs in the coming expansion that means we'll be seeing a lot of useless drops because we can't bring every job in a party.
- Allow crafted gear to be upgraded and boosted in ilvl or add special crafting mats to drop from raids to further allow crafting to have an actual place in endgame raiding.

I have a lot more but I hate extremely long posts.
